Wanted to try dim sum so badly and I wasn’t disappointed going to Tao Tao Ju, the assortment of dim sum available it’s quite extensive and delicious, the atmosphere of the restaurant is also really nice, the waitresses are very friendly, the only thing is I had to wait for sometime to get my food, but it was worthy
Had the 90 bottomless food and drink here. Been before but a very long time ago. Wow! Food - amazing. Drinks - lots of options which is brilliant for bottomless. Service - We were very lucky to have Arnold who is simply the nicest, attentive, kind server we could ask for. Fantastic all around and have already agreed the next date to be back
Had an amazing experience at Inamo. The food was delicious and prompt. Our service provided by Arnold was top notch. He was so friendly and attentive. We’re here on holiday and was so happy to find this gem of a place. I highly recommended coming and checking out the interactive experience they have at the tables so much fun.
Navin was amazing! The service was perfect, food was served very quickly and the portion sizes were huge. We had a lovely time, using the screens for music and doing fun presentations. Having a private room is definitely recommended as it was a lot more intimate. Great venue to celebrate my birthday!

We got a bottomless brunch. The place was great and the service was great. We were served by Arnold and he was very friendly and was very approachable. The drinks were great and we never had to wait for them unless other bottomless brunches. The food was also really nice and we ended up being really full. I would definitely recommend!
Beautiful dining experience at Joy King Lau. Food was well prepared, reasonably priced and serves were generous - we had won ton noodle soup, some spicy smacked cucumber salad and some grilled vegetable dumplings. Service was friendly too! A real nostalgic gem of a place in Chinatown.
Very friendly and attentive staff, prices are fair and the food tastes great. My only gripe if any, are that the portion sizes could be bigger but regarding of this, I left with a full stomach. Would recommend!
Recommended from trip advisor to food podcasts. i heard really good things about Tao Tao ju in Chinatown. After having bad buffet after bad buffet I needed some love on a plate and thought this would be the place to get it.

The chicken chow mein was standard and the crispy chilly beef was below the standard that I expect and have had better from my local and a lot cheaper than £16 too!
It wasn’t all bad. The service was great and staff friendly and helpful.

Came as a group of four for dinner on a Saturday night. Used to come here for dim sum prior to the change of ownership and refurb. Seems slightly more upmarket now. One person in our group didn’t eat fish or seafood and another was a pescatarian! Still, we ordered a fair selection of dishes which catered for both palettes. Perhaps a tad expensive (an average main was £18) but portions were generous and flavours were bold. I recommend the mixed seafood with Japanese tofu. Service was courteous and efficient.

There is an incredibly busy restaurant in London that is popular among the Chinese community. It stays open until 3:30 in the morning and has friendly staff who provide very fast service. The food served at this restaurant is absolutely delicious and some of the best Chinese cuisine that I've had in London. As always, the service is reliable, fast and welcoming. I highly recommend it!
Also there might be a bit of a queue on weekend late nights. They accept both cash and card payments so you won't have to worry about having the right type of payment on hand.

There are many choices for Dim Sum lunch in this area. Orient is a winner. Traditional dim sum, all fresh and a wide variety. The restaurant is really nice with an upscale feel. Prices are very reasonable. Service was excellent.
An extremely busy restaurant frequented by the Chinese community in London which is always a good sign. This is a no grills restaurant. The staff is friendly, the service is very fast and the food is absolutely delicious. Some of the best Chinese I've had in London.

This is my go-to restaurant - absolutely love it here! It looks unassuming from the outside, but has an excellent menu with a great variety including both traditional hotpot and very authentic dishes. Reasonable prices too. Homely atmosphere and a big bottle of tap water is always provided which I really appreciate. Easy to book a table in advance (which you definitely need to do at weekends to avoid disappointment).
I even dropped/left my ID card at the restaurant one evening, and when I called the next day they still had it safe for me. Thank you and I will be returning soon!

Yummy good and authentic Sichuan dishes. If you are there first time trying out Sichuan cuisine would recommend asking for recommendation from staff. Quite helpful. Do book a table in advance to avoid waiting. Thanks for looking at review hope you enjoy the space as much as we did!
We really enjoyed our meal and the service. We selected one of the pre-selected meals, so all of the courses came out to us automatically. It was a great option since we were not sure what to get, and everything turned out to be great. Beyond the food, the service was very quick, and multiple servers came and went to ensure our plates were cleared promptly and our next course was ready as soon as we were.
Had a nice dinner with my friend here. I’m a big fan of the Braised Pork Belly! Other dishes we ordered were also very nice. Would love to come back and try the hot pot some other day.

Must try restaurant when in chinatown. Everything we ordered was really tasty yet not too expensive. Worth the queue!

We had a lovely time here, we went late on a Friday night to celebrate our anniversary. The food came out quickly and was very tasty. It was also very reasonably priced for London especially the duck. Both mains were tasty too and overall was a complete success and had so much food we brought some home. Had a brilliant time and can’t recommend more.

We went here for dumplings on a Saturday evening - best to book in advance as it is quite popular. We sat in the backroom which is very light but not as traditional as what you see from the street. All the food was delicious, the best are the Baos. There’s a minimum of 15£ per person to pay, which is easily reached. Great to try
We had the best dim sum in our lives here 🫶🏽 recommend EVERYTHING specially. My mum loves pork puff pastry and prawn cheung fun. For me, I love everything. I promise you won’t be disappointed by this restaurant.

Generally a safe bet for consistency in good food. Today we went for dim sum and the quality was good! ‘Crystal clear’ coloured rice pasta covering the prawn dumplings - not white and mushy…the deep fried taro cubes with XO paste and egg and chilli - my favourite dish! Udon seafood - pretty fresh tasting and no fishy after taste, good quality Udon. And most importantly Hot! (Temp wise) the fried ghost in Cheung Fun….the ghost was crispy and not a soggy mess! Hallelujah! Also the staff were very honest in telling us we had over paid when we split the bill. They didn’t pretend we had been generous in tipping

When we got there, we were seated in a very dark area, were showed how to work the table, and given a quick tour on how to use the table screens to order. For unlimited dining, there aren't enough good options for us to choose from. You're alotted 3 items per person, but it was hard to even decide on three options each because the options available weren't that appealing.
Another thing to keep in mind is that with the table gaming options, the screens don't really work that well. It's very hard to navigate (even with ordering food) and when you're food does come out, you really can't play any more games because the plates halt the functioning of the screen.
The only things that were really good were the drinks. They had a few good options with some great flavors. For the price, they could have probably been stronger, but at least they tasted good.
Won't be returning but I do think that others might find this to be enjoyable. Unlimited option is definitely not worth the price, so please be aware of that.

A great find in poplar. Super friendly service, fantastic food and made to order if you'd like. I asked for my pork to be extra spicy and they definitely delivered. Recommend for anyone who's into Cantonese food
We ordered from Maida to treat our late night cravings. We were pleasantly surprised to get hot indian chinese food at 3AM. The food was fresh and steamy. We ordered chilli garlic noodles and manchurian. The noodles were relatively better than other places and so was the manchurian but now wow.

The only few Chinese restaurants open at Christmas Day; having the massively popular ones closed. This one seemed rated decently - 4 stars and I agree to the overall rating. While the food was a bit of a hit and miss (as what the previous reviewer said) - the shredded beef was very good, the veg was OK, the duck was a bit bland and lacking that typical Hongkong style flavor. Service was ok; just that they seem to rush us for everything, rush for order, rush to pay, rush to clear out.
Recommended, but if there are better places (eg, the popular ones which service is equally rushed but the food is better) then go to those.

Totally enjoyed our yumcha at Joy King Lau. Visited Chinatown after several years and with a huge hankering for steaming yumcha, we headed directly to JKL.

They lived up to our memories of deliciousness. We began by ticking off our choices on the paper menu, then sipping on warm tea, fidgeting with our chopsticks, bowls and Chinese soup spoons just waiting for those baskets piled high to come teetering in our direction. They did. And go!
There was no stopping us. In between balancing prawn hargaos into mouths, cheung fans, baos, ribs, sui Mai all were eaten in almost reverent silence barring the mmm’s slurps and yummmms.
My favourite was the soup dumpling - having broken the first one with my clumsiness, I gingerly scooped the second one into the spoon and let the light yet rich tasty broth flood the taste buds and with slight chewing after of the herbed minced pork it was all gone. Another favourite is the duck pork prawn in gluttonous rice steamed in a lotus leaf: a ceremonial unwrapping and then savouring morsels of gooey perfection. I could go on and on.
Instead we’ll just plan and revisit. London winters need yumcha to thrive!!!

We visited Old Town 97 during the very busy Christmas period and we were accommodated without a booking.
For lunch we tried several noodle (chicken and prawn) and rice (pork) dishes. We also had ordered some calamari and sea weed. All were very tasty.
The food came out very quickly and the staff were friendly at all times.

Ordered food online when I was really craving for Indian as well Chinese. The kinda Chinese that u get in Indian restaurants has a unique flavour and taste which I could never find anywhere in east London. I thought this restaurant would be one such disappointment as well but my quest for a proper indo Chinese after a year ends here. So content and soooo happy. Loved the Bombay chilli chicken. This place will be my regular until I will leave UK. Thanks guys.
Tried take out once and we don't like the food at all. Tried dine in again to see if anything changes. Ummm i wouldn't say it is that authentic taste. It can be a backup option. The price is quite reasonable though. The food hygiene rating is 3 better than I thought.

We had an okay experience at Inamo. The food was pretty good. I didn’t enjoy it as much as some others in my group. They were out of a lot of options as well which was frustrating. The wait staff was basically not there. They didn’t tell us the whole group ordered off just one board so we all were adding things. The boards themselves were clunky. The little games were okay but didn’t work well. The idea is good just the technology behind it was bad. I wouldn’t go back.

We got the fish congee, shrimp toast, and morning glory with garlic. The food came amazingly fast. Congee was fine with plenty of fish and heavy on the ginger. The shrimp toast was greasy as expected. The morning glory was quite tender and flavorful although a bit on the salty side.
Overall food was good/typical.

It's a Chinese restaurant that I've been to many times. I like fish dishes more than other dishes, probably because the taste is a bit salty. But I've eaten rice. They fit together very well
The waiters there told us to pay first and eat later like it was a fast food restaurant. When we order 3 person set from the menu the price didn’t specify per person on the menu and the waitress there suggested it would be enough for us 3 people so we chose to go with that and they brought the bill with just the total amount and no price for the individual item we had to ask for proper receipt which the waiter brought and showed the price was inaccurate! they had placed X3 on the item that we order Just one, and then said it’s per head, they tried to scam us so we wanted to leave the place since we hadn’t touched any of their food but the waiter there got rude, stopped us and told us we should pay even though we didn’t touch any of the food they brought, the waiter then said to pay for what ever was in the table and got us a new receipt which was still over priced and not worth staying there for, they made us uncomfortable at this place and made us pay for the food which we didn’t even try and I suggest to anyone reading this to not try anything from this restaurant! they are running scam business, please avoid. Overall ruined our night and respect for Chinese cuisine.
Visited my favourite spot for quick dinner after happy hour. Their char siu fried rice was my all time favourite. Never disappointed for their foods in general. The wait staff were friendly and humourous.
We have tried many bottomless deals and this is by far the best we have had so far.
Ours was a sushi class followed by bottomless sushi and drinks.
The team were fantastic and very helpful and I never once needed to call for help or a top up as the team were on hand to fill the glass and make sure we were fed.
Our waiter was Arnold. I wish we could have Arnold in every restaurant as was a kind reader for when we needed him. First class service.
Highly recommend for the class, food and drink.

I can’t believe it’s only 3.6????? it’s definitely 4.5+ in my opinion. Guess Chinese restaurants between 3.6-3.8 are the best is true

Food taste was good. Indo Chinese taste like india and they have monchow soup as well, which is hard to find here

Das schlechteste Essen, das wir je in einem Restaurant bekommen haben, trockener Reis mit labbriger Ente und etwas klebriger Sauce. Nicht mal eine Sojasprosse war als Deko dabei. Das ganze auf den Tisch geknallt von einer schlecht gelaunten Chinesin die pampig wurde, als wir uns beschwert haben. Absolut meiden!
Selten so schlecht gegessen. Speisen kamen zwar schnell, aber so lieblos zusammengeklatscht, geschmacklos und kein bisschen lecker. Ein vollständiges Gericht bestand aus einem Batzen Reis, Salatblättern(!?!?) und ein wenig labbriger Ente mit undefinierbarer Soße. Der Service war so lala, halbwegs freundlich, aber das war’s auch schon. Vorspeise kam mitten im Hauptgang. Kann man sich sparen, ernsthaft….
Wir sind in dieses Restaurant gegangen, da es von außen ansprechend aussah. Wir wurden maßlos enttäuscht. Ein Essen war ungenießbar, die Soße des anderen schmeckte wie aus dem Eimer. Der Service war sehr unhöflich. Wir haben uns dort nicht wohlgefühlt.

The restaurant is vibrant and has a great feel to it. The choice of food does not have a large range and is quite limiting. It is nonetheless delicious with a wonderful view of the waters and lovely buildings (highly recommend to sit by the windows).
Etwas längere Wartezeit aber sehr gutes Essen. Bestes mir bekannte Chinesische Restaurant.
They have my favorite lamb skewers there.

Пришли поужинать втроём. Взяли утку по-кантонский, утку по-пекински, пельмешки и лобстера. Все было очень вкусно. Официанты очень приветливые и услужливые. Можно есть палочками и вилками. Аутентичная публика и еда. На десерт только, но очень вкусное мороженое. Что не съели нам завернулись с собой.
Kantonesische Ente war sehr lecker. Der Hummer meiner Freundin leider alles andere als das und dazu weder geeignetes Besteck noch irgend etwas um sich die Finger von Zeit zu Zeit zu reinigen. Dem Service gebe ich Null Sterne. Anstatt sich um die wartenden Gäste zu kümmern, waren sie mit dem Entfernen des Weihnachtsschmuck beschäftigt und dies direkt neben den essenden Gästen.
