Helpful friendly staff, great selection of fish, hardware and reptile food.

Excellent place to go. Bought my aquarium there and some other bits. Top quality goods at reasonable prices. Very friendly and extremely helpful staff. It's definitely worth a visit! A+++

2nd Review - wish there were 10 stars I could give out. These guys are the bee's knee's! Today, one member of staff gave me over 30 minutes of time to give me important advice. Brilliant people!

I obviously venture in to many places through my life, and I am happy with the service I am given the majority of the time, however I only review on 5 star ratings or 1 star ratings and to get a one star rating you really have to offend me, I have no desire to review between 2 and 4 because that’s based on perhaps a sales assistant having a bad day, so far to harsh,
I wasn’t going to leave a review for these guys because when you strike gold you don’t want a gold rush, but from customer service, aquarium knowledge to just the right amount of varied fish to keep everyone happy this place has it all, there are many more superlatives I could add, so just one more won’t hurt it’s the cleanest aquarist and reptile shop I have ever been in. This is a genuine 5* award superb.

The best koi we have brought over the last 3 years, they are healthy and have thrived with no problems.

Excellent place for all your aquatic needs and also an upstairs reptile floor. Kids always love looking around.

I’ve visited a lot of exotics shops in my time in the reptile and fish hobbies and Ely Exotics is my favourite by far. The livestock are well cared for and include captive bred examples of species usually wild caught in the hobby, including the young olive tree skink I purchased. The staff are very helpful and there’s a wide range of products. My fish from here have been super healthy and I will always default to Ely Exotics for fish now!

Limited to standard stock my preference is the more oddball aquatic life they used to stock. Especially snake heads and catfish for me. However I am an advocate of not buying or selling a fish that potentially gets to 5ft long. Just a more varied variety. The staff are friendly and for general fish keeping more than adequate.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Helped me a great deal. An overwhelming amount of stock! If you want to fish on a budget or get the rolls Royce of gear then I’m sure this is the shop to visit!
