Large indoor market in Budapest near the bank of Danube river and here you will find a wide array of food products ranging from vegetables, fruits, meat, cheese, cakes, pastries and Hungary’s favourite paprika. There are 2 floors and souvenirs are sold on the second floor. Easily accessible by public transport via tram or metro.
Very lively market wirh many store to look around and shop including traditional food, souvenirs and local handcrafts and local food. I didn’t buy anything since I was walking casually but prices overall seem slightly higher to what you could find in the city. Still really worth a visit
It's a must see for every tourist that visits Budapest. You can buy the usual trinkets and souvenirs as well as some culinary delicacies that Hungary is known for. It'll take you a couple hours to go through the whole thing but you can rest at the food court where they serve solid portions of Hungarian fare. The prices are high but that's to be expected when tourists are the key demographic present.
Wonderful historical place to visit. Quite touristy with lots of Hungarian products like leather, needle 🪡 point, paprika 🌶 🫑 🫑 🌶 🌶 🌶 🌶 sausages, as well as pastries 🍰 and many groceries everyday Hungarians shop for like fresh fruits, vegetables and meat 🍖 products.
There is even an Aldi on the lower floor 7 days a week if you want to stock up an have a Picknick on the square across the street and watch the skateboarders or sit at the bridge and watch the Danube floating by
Nestled in Budapest's heart, the Central Market Hall beckons with its bustling atmosphere and captivating aromas. This historic landmark, one of Europe's largest indoor markets, offers a sensory feast for visitors.

Upon entering, the market's grand architecture and lively ambiance set the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey. Rows of stalls brim with vibrant produce, aromatic spices, and traditional Hungarian fare, inviting exploration.

From savory sausages to delicate pastries, vendors offer a tantalizing array of local delights. Friendly exchanges with vendors add to the market's charm, while diverse eateries serve up authentic Hungarian dishes.

Beyond food, the Central Market Hall hosts cultural events and cooking classes, providing insight into Hungarian traditions and cuisine.
Fabulous building and bustling market packed with both locals and tourists.
Upstairs has a large number of stalls selling just about every kind of souvenir you could ask for as well as numerous places to eat. Of course the prices are higher here but that's to be expected.
The ground floor has stalls selling produce of every kind from vegetables and meat to confectionery and alcohol.
It's worth visiting just to stand and soak up the atmosphere.
It's a nice place to visit. Aside from selling local foods, there are plenty of stores selling all sorts of souvenirs with prices on average better than on Vaci street.

Quite a few dining options but it can get busy during lunch time so I recommend avoiding that time.
Large indoor market with plenty on offer. Fresh fruit, vegetables, meat. Local Hungarian wines, spices and sauces including paprika. Fridge magnets, souvenirs and jewellery. Also hot food. Recommend for buying souvenirs~ it's a lot cheaper than other places and duty free
