such a beautiful place to go have the best food i’ve ever had. Owner was amazing and so lovely to have a chat with highly recommended the carbonara i will be back so many times for this alone
I've heard on social networks about Pizza Posto as the best pizzeria in Edinburgh. Did not disappoint. So far, it is one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life. I definitely have to come back.
La Locanda was absolutely fantastic. The service was great, and did not feel rushed at all despite the small, cozy restaurant. Good drinks and outstanding food that tasted really fresh. We will absolutely go back whenever we are in Edinburgh next!
Unser Kellner Simon war sehr hilfsbereit und hat Änderungswünsche gut entgegengenommen. Das essen war sehr lecker. Ambiente war etwas laut.
This is a superb restaurant. Whether living in or visiting Edinburgh it is a must visit. Every meal is spectacular - Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. The staff are very friendly and the owners Victor and Carina are amazing. Just go and see for yourself. Now celebrating 20 years on George Street - Congratulations.
Warum dieser Laden nicht bei 5,0 Sternen steht, wird mir immer ein Rätsel bleiben. Das dritte mal in Edinburgh, das dritte Mal Ecco Vino. Wann immer ich hier bin, werde ich vorbei kommen. Authentische italienische Küche mit an Gemütlichkeit nicht zu übertreffendem Ambiente. Einer meiner absoluten Lieblingsitaliener weltweit. Bravo <3

The staff were so nice and welcoming. It made the whole place feel like you were having dinner with friends. We spoke with a few tables near by, it was just a great experience. The food was absolutely amazing along with the drinks. Will definitely come back here when we are back in Edinburg
Nice place, it seems small from outside but they have space for around 160 seated.
I had Take Away because it was fully booked. It seems to be a popular place. The prices are pretty good, as well the pizza. I had Ceprese w/Buffalo mozzarella, Pizza nr 4 and a Cappuccino. paid 21.50:-

The food was really fresh, especially the starts were great. The gnocchi are definitely handmade but they lacked flavor. I can really recommend the Burrata and the spinach as a starter. The cocktails are really pricey but also really delicious. They had also a plant based menu what’s really cool. So you can have a full 3 course menu in vegan
The pizza was really really good, probably one of the best ones I’ve had in Scotland. The mozzarella fritter was also really delicious. We thought the staff weren’t the friendliest but as it was busy we didn’t mind.

Having broken down right outside I used their facilities, and had a lovely chat with the staff/owner. A few hours later I went to get something to eat... mistake! I had hoped for fresh generous family Italian type food.. nothing could have been further from what I got and was charged £14.50 for this take away. So disappointing to see this kind of thing happen. It only made me more hangry.. shame on you 😔

We stopped in after a lovely walk down to Dean Village, and I am SOOOO glad we did. The ladies were so warm and welcoming on a cold day, and the food was exceptional - it was fresh, it was full of flavour and it looked delicious! We had a mix of the specials and normal menu, which were talked through by the servers. We could’ve stayed all day, although when we walked past in the evening it was a full house so clearly a lot of people know how superb the place is!
The pizza was great. They were willing to replace the aubergine with mushroom as I don't like aubergine on my pizza :) The calamari (not pictured) was too salty, though.. I had to eat them with the pizza..

I wouldn't recommend the cherry tomatoes one as made the pizza too wet. Would like to see the buffalo mozzarella in other pizzas.
Staff runs around a lot, so if you like a quiet place, try somewhere else. It can be quite overwhelming.

Beautiful restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and fantastic staff, in particular the man who looked after me for most of the evening (I think his name is Enrique?) One of the best mojitos I've had, accompanied with some canapes to start. As a vegetarian I love to see and try something different that I've not seen in other restaurants and I wasn't disappointed by the Carciofi! Compliments to the bartender and the chef, everything was superb!
Service was friendly and accommodating. Place was a bit tight though and tables are on the small side. Generous portions of the lasagna and ravioli mains. Loved the balsamic cream and the focaccia. Would come again for special occassions.

Restaurant is lovely inside. We had a nice time. We were not really working to a budget but found the menu to be expensive and did not offer value for money. The wine list reflects this as the entry bottle of white comes in at £38 and goes upwards quickly.

Atmosphere was lacking. Couldn't quite put our finger on it. I think the lack of atmospheric music lead to quite an empty loud echoey room which we described as sounding like a wetherspoons. Maybe some nice relaxing music to blend into the background would improve things.

16 Euro für eine einfache Pizza ist einfach dreist! Zudem noch die Falsche bekommen. Kann ich nicht empfehlen
We had a great time at Contini. Food was great and service very good. Also, the place is pretty (I would say it is amazing for a date followed by good pasta and wine). Strongly recommend.
The atmosphere is cozy and charming. The food is simply spectacular; In spite of being a bit expensive. The staff is friendly and politely.
Visited Contini during a trip to Edinburgh. When you walk in, you're greeted by a beautiful atmosphere and ambiance. Ultra-high ceilings and the bar as a focal point of the room. I ordered the Pasta Olivia and a side of pomodori misti. Overall the dishes were good. They needed salt but the pasta was cooked well. For dessert, I got the cheese course which was a Gorganzola. Very mild in flavour but the grapes had seeds in them which ruined the dish. Also, the "crackers" were so thin, they contributed little to the dish. My server was average. She seldom checked on me and my meal and the "discretionary" service charge was added to the bill (as was the case in every restaurant I went to, not very "discretionary"). What was a little off putting was the servers were wearing t-shirts. With an establishment like Contini, I would expect servers to wear more formal uniforms.
We had booked a private room for our team Christmas party. The booking process was really good and Eilish and Stephanie had both been really helpful to make sure we had everything we needed and when there were any questions or changes it was easily dealt with.
On the night Natasha was incredibly attentive and always on hand to make sure we felt comfortable and relaxed within our private room. The food was really tasty and all served promptly, including making sure our colleague with dietary requirements were well catered for. Our Sicilian colleague was very happy with both the food and drink, which we all saw as really good. Well done to everyone for making our evening special and we look forward to returning in the future. Personally I've been to the restaurant a number of times for work, but also been to both the Scottish Cafe and Cannonball at the Castle. Thanks as always

Sehr Rollstuhlfreundlich. Das Essen war gut und der Service aufmerksam. Die Pizzen waren sehr lecker und frisch.

Großartiges Restaurant mit tollen Speisen und Getränken, unfassbar freundlichem Service und einem tollen Ambiente. Die Preise sind sehr fair und wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Wenn wir wieder in Edinburgh sind, würden wir die Pizzeria wieder besuchen. Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Portionen riesig...im nachhinein kein Wunder, weshalb sich andere die Pizzen teilen. Der Service war auch wirklich gut. Ich würde es jederzeit empfehlen. :)
Was such immer es ist, es ist keine pizza. Magenbeschwerden waren die folge. Eine der Angestellten war freundlich.

Nach einer Woche Rundreise und dem einfallslosen Hotelessen...mal schnell zum Italiener um die Ecke.Kurz um.Klein aber fein.Zuerst einen perfekten Burrata.Dann eine Meeresfrüchte Platte mit einer exzellenten Sauce.Super Spaghetti.Dazu einen leichten Rotwein.Vielleicht etwas zu warm.Endlich mal wieder einen anständigen Espresso.Zum Abschluss noch einen Grappa.Es gab nur einen...und der hat auch noch geschmeckt.Wir waren sehr zufrieden.P.S. freundlicher,schneller Service.

Fantastisches Essen, sehr aufmerksame Kellner, stylische Lokation. Alles in allem gelungenes Konzept.
Etwas laute Atmosphäre aber sehr netter Service und gutes Essen zu etwas erhöhten Preisen was aber in dieser Gegend (leider) zu erwarten ist. Aber insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.
Sonntag um 1000 frühstücken gewesen, war Top! Superfreundliche Bedienung!
Coole Restaurant mit einer interessantem Speise Karte. Dazu gibt es passende Weine und/odet Biere. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Komme immer wieder gerne.
Das Speiseangebot ist sehr gut, zu recht angenehmen Preisen in Bezug auf Edinburgh. Wir hatten verschiedene Pasta, sehr lecker und gute Portionen. Uns hat die Lautstärke im Restaurant gestört und während wir die Speisen zu uns nahmen, wurde am Nachbartisch (keine 30 cm von uns weg) mit Putzmittel gesprüht und der Tisch wurde geputzt. Sehr unschön, deshalb “Sterneabzug“ . Man sollte vorher reservieren, das Gusto ist stets gut besucht.
we ordered a pasta for starter amd it was quite undercooked. wemdo know the difference between speghetti being al dente but ours were still crumchy. we told the staff about it but they just took the dish away with no compensation or anything. for mains we had cod fillet and pork fillet, both were overcooked. on terms of service, staffs were mostly polite but they could be more caeeful such as not spilling things arpund on our table and did not not even wipe it away being a michelin guide restaurant, we expected better service and way better food we are very disappointed and wont recommend coming here.
