As someone who has been craving good shawarma, the place ended up disappointing but if you’ve not had shawarma before, this is a good place to try out an alternative to Middle Eastern food. I’m indian and know when pickles are great taste enhancers and when it is a gimmick 😳
I was pleasantly surprised with the use of Indian pickles to tahini, hummus and offering shawarma without the grill or char . But in the end the surprise died down after the 1st two bites and I just missed on the flavour that comes with a good shawarma.
The falafel was too dense and over fried. Too pricey for what is served and would recommend alternatives that are wholesome mid east restaurants.
The beer I had wasnt too bad.

Great food, beautiful decor. Quiet and serene spot away from the hustle and bustle of Regent Street.
If you wanted to show someone a proper 'old-school' Greek restaurant I think this place wouldn't be too far off the mark. Its the kind of place that if you liked it and were local you'd probably keep coming, but in the grand scheme of things its nothing all that special - but maybe that's the appeal.

Our family absolutely love Mannoush! We’ve lived nearby for the last 4 years and it’s been a regular go to on takeaway nights. The staff are always friendly and on more than one occasion we’ve opened the bag at home to find some cheeky baclava inside! I’m a vegetarian and there are plenty of delicious options, the felafel and halloumi wraps are both great, so are the salads. My family all eat meat and love the different wraps and main options, my husband is a big fan of the lahem meshwi.
The restaurant itself isn’t huge, but its got its charm with a big window where you can watch the hustle and bustle of the high street while you enjoy your food. I couldn’t recommend Mannoush highly enough. They’re the best!

Had a really nice time, food was good and presentation was interesting. The highlight for us for the octopus, which was cooked perfectly (probably the best octopus I had in a while). Portions aren’t huge but that’s likely on purpose, so you can experience more dishes.
The service was terrible, so was the food. Your really not organized. The prices are way to high for the food you sell.

My friend and I recently dined at Deja Vu Garden Walthmostow,and unfortunately, our experience was marred by the rude behavior of the waiter.
Throughout our meal, he repeatedly scolded us for minor things, such as instructing us not to throw bones on the table and to put them in the plate. His condescending tone made us feel like we were being treated as animals, and his attempts to "train" us on how to behave in society were completely uncalled for.
As paying customers, we expect to be treated with respect and not to be lectured on our dining etiquette.
While we understand the importance of maintaining a clean dining environment, the manner in which we were addressed was completely unacceptable. We hope that the management addresses this issue to ensure that other patrons do not have a similar experience.

Very pricey. Food is good, not great. We were asked to vacate our table when there was nothing but open tables around us, because we had been sitting for two hours. Never mind that our order was not taken until we had been there for a half hour. Also was forced to take a 6 pm reservation because everything else was booked on reservation site. Restaurant was empty when we got there and it never filled up. You are bette off at a small neighborhood place.
Genuinely torn about how to rate this restaurant. Some of the dishes were absolutely delicious but the portions were so small as to come across as being mean. Touted as a sharing plates establishment, the quantity meant a group of 3 basically had a single mouthful of each plate. I guess that would be ok had the price point been reasonable but it was not. Business rates being Soho high really does not justify a bill of £260 for 5 dishes and 2 bottles of mediocre wine.
Front of house were on the whole great but our direct server just had an odd almost irritable attitude as to make the dining experience a little tainted. Way too many greater more reasonably priced alternatives in Soho I’m afraid to make me want to come back here.

A favourite for fish lovers. A great selection of various fish from squid, octupus, salmon and variety of other small starter dishes .Also lovely kebab meat dishes. A real taste of Greek food!
This places serves the best Middle Eastern cuisine in London - my absolute favourite spot!! And the staff are equally wonderful!

Nice area, packed walk in restaurant. Food is ok. Hummus was very good, Babaganoush definitely far too much smoke taste, I would not order this one again. Shawarma was oily but very tasty. The Lamb kebab was a bit a surprise, only meat with some fresh herbs ? At that price? Overall food was really ok but not reason for me to come back as nothing special. Very nice and friendly service. Small and packed location.
Great restaurant with amazing atmosphere and ambiance. Food is taken to the next level with incredible flavors. Make sure to try the chicken, tzatziki and hummus.
Ten eerste word je hier enorm warm welkom geheten. Maar het eten overtreft alles! Prachtig palet van smaken, ook leuk om meerdere gerechten te delen samen. Kort samengevat; we zijn erg verrast door het lekkere eten en het is echt een aanrader om naartoe te gaan als je in London bent.
Yeni is offering a modern look to the Turkish cuisine. Everything is extremely delicious. Every bite is another sensation. Chef is very attentive and takes care of each and every customer. Highly recommended.
Absolutely fantastic food and service! Usually I'm looking to get out of a restaurant as soon as I have eaten but not here...no no no...I was do relaxed and chilled I stayed for nearly 2 hours picking at my food hoping it would never finish! 3 course dinner for two ppl with drinks(several!!) and lentil soup aswell all for £100 in central London... can't go wrong!
One of the most spectacular meals we’ve had in our 20 years of living in London. Each dish is exquisite, with complex flavours. Not rushed, each plate is given the time to enjoy. Wine selected is beautiful, for us, red is worked beautiful with these dishes! Will definitely come again and recommend
Best modern Turkish food I’ve ever had. Both Yeni Mantis and lamb dish are out of this world. Everyone I brought here or sent here loved it! Also great wine selection, big fan of Partida Creus
Had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Came to dinner excited to try their signature 22 specials however, was extremely disappointed upon sitting down and hearing that the restaurant was out of most of what they claimed themselves to be famous for before an 8 PM seating. I continued to order other things off the menu and had an extremely inpolite waiter, who was reaching over my other guests, and hit my friend with a tablecloth while he was Making another table. I was particularly excited to try this restaurant because of their beef Wellington, but was disappointed to hear that they were out of the beef Wellington when I sat at 8pm. However, when I left the restaurant two hours after I was seated(10pm), there were other tables, eating the said beef, Wellington, that they were allegedly out of. do not recommend coming here unless you would like an extremely limited menu option and terrible service. on top of this, the restaurant had the audacity to charge a cover as well as an automatic service fee. Will say the host of the restaurant was extremely nice and charming.

This is a really nice traditional Greek restaurant, I have been coming here for years, The Meze is excellent, great service, great food and reasonable prices and the owner is a happy chappy that always has time for a little friendly chat and banter.

I ordered the mixed shawarma wrap. I took the first bite and discovered raw chicken. Not undercooked, but RAW, as can be seen in the photos. I then opened up the wrap and found even more raw chicken. This is disgraceful and not what I expected from an Arab-owned institution. What an embarrassment to our cuisine. I ate the Kibbeh and am feeling sick now too. Am sure it must have also been slightly underdone as the coating was still very soggy and had no crunch to it. خجلتونا والله. اتوقع احسن من مطعم عربي!

We had Meze; food was great, music brilliant but the true shining star in this place was the staff. Absolutely outstanding service, they couldn’t do enough for us. Felt like i was in a village in Cyprus with the warm, hospitable locals. Definitely going again. 5 stars

Храната, която си поръчахме беше вкусна, но се забави и ни сервирах част от нея малко студена. За съжаление момичето, което сервираше и управителката бяха намръщени през цялото време, дори когато им казахме, че са забравили да ни маркират цяла бутилка вино. Единствения усмихнат и позитивен беше новият сервитьор, който за съжаление не обслужваше нашата маса. Бялото вино, което си избрахме беше много топло и не се изстуди дори в леда, който ни оставиха и вкуса беше ужасен (а е вино, което сме си поръчвали и преди в друг ресторант). За съжаление управителката не дойде да разговаря с нас, а студено ни обясни накрая когато отидохме да си платим сметката, че ние сме си го избрали и това е (при положение, че обяснихме, че може да е партидата или неправилно съхранение, което се е случвало в други ресторанти и са ни го подменяли). Напълно разбираме, че такива неща се случват, но поне можеше да кажат съжаляваме и да се усмихнат, а не да ни карат да се чувстваме виновни, че сме избрали да посетим точно този ресторант.

Lovely dining experience and delicious food! 96£ tasting menu, and bottles of wine were ~50-100£. The food was amazing, but it was quite loud in the restaurant due to all the hard surfaces on the interior. Unfortunately, the server splashed beat juice on my white shirt when clearing the large plate, souring my experience. Overall, I would return, but not at this price range for the service provided.
The food here was amazing and the service was good too.
My salmon with the vegetables was really nice.
As usual we ordered quite a lot and we managed to finish everything since it was soo good.

The restaurant is beautiful and serves modern dishes.
Nous sommes repartis avec nos ados aujourd’hui, pour leur faire découvrir ce restaurant que nous avons découvert en 2019, lors d’un voyage sans enfants. Bonne nouvelle le resto n’a pas bougé et leur plats sont toujours aussi bons. D’après nos fendants la viande était excellente et c’était déjà le cas en 2019. Donc allez y les yeux fermés, nous y avons passé un bon moment, l’endroit est propre, le personnel souriant et accueillant. La cuisine est excellente. Cela deviendra un incontournable pour nos prochaines visites à Londres. Concernant les prix, comme partout à Londres, tout est très cher. Nous avons payés 83£ pour 4.
Repas excellent de l'entrée jusqu'au dessert. Mention spéciale pour les gambas ! On ne ressort pas avec la faim, je recommande.
I am dissatisfied with the service we received. Despite requesting bread, it never arrived. We had to ask for another plate twice. When the lady waiter inquired if we had finished our plate, we said no, but she left with a bad mood. The hospitality was lacking, to say the least. There were two gentlemen who knew how to properly serve at a raki table, unlike the rest of the staff. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this establishment. Apologies, but we were not impressed."
My goodness - what promise , what skill what decor, all foundering on a failure of true hospitality. If you offer a three course meal it behoves you to balance ingredients. This meal was so carb-light that the promise of bread and butter pudding as dessert began to look like a lifeline not a sweet. We weren't offered bread with the tiny amuse bouche( a soup like dish that called for it) Nothing with the tiny salmon dish. The problem was made real when the filet of beef arrived , nicely cooked , adequately sauced and briefly garnished, but all alone on the plate. Quite a lot of meat to eat without the sensible balance of perhaps some potato dish and some vegetables. We immediately sent a message to the kitchen which was completely, rudely, ignored. Look - my wife and I have been eating out together for nearly 40 years, and it wasn't terrible. But what a shame that a meal that could well have been fine for even it's slightly steep £150pp cost, ended up being a big disappointment. The manager didn't charge service laying the blame on us for not asking for bread, which other tables we later noticed were offered, then blaming the waiter for not bringing it.

My experience at The Twenty Two London was mediocre. The total amount came to 345£ for four people including myself. The beef Wellington was great; juicy and tender. The chicken (one of their signature dishes) was bland and overpriced in my opinion.
The service was excellent. The staff were very nice and helpful. There was an incident where the server dropped a small glass plate and stopped instantly causing some warm wax to pour onto my hands but they did not realize. Not a big problem, but would have been appropriate for someone to check on us. Another staff member said are you alright but did not mean it judging by the way they glanced and disappeared.
Overall, a nice experience but would not return in the future. 6/10

Yesterday we went for dinner with my husband. Nice atmosphere, love the lights, polite service, and nice food as well. However, I give 1 star, because after 1:30 hour we left and went home, we had horrible pain in our tummy’s and stayed up till 2am because of the pain and everything.
I send them today morning a mail to inform them about this issue and to let me know if everything was checked yesterday and if it was in good quality?
Have they received other complaints about yesterday’s food? No response till now. So disappointed and to be honest this is dangerous..

What a fabulous little gem in the middle of a gorgeous market setting.
The food is superb, super tasty and, as fresh as can be. The staff are superb, Katorina who is the manager is a ray of sunshine and so attentive, she is truly a star.
If you’re in the area, swing past and try it for yourself.

Excellent restaurant with a great menu. You know the menu is great if you panic about your order… I literally wanted to try everything lol
I ordered Kazan’s signature hummus, which was 10/10 very tasty and authentic. Lentil soup was excellent and rich in flavor. Grilled Sucuk was my highlight of the day: it’s my first time trying it and it was really nice, served with rocket leaves.

Amazing food - great flavors and portions. The staff were friendly and quick, even during the busy dinner crowd. Great atmosphere as well. Would definitely visit again!

This is exactly the type of neighborhood gem that I would keep going back to, even though this was my first visit and certainly won't be the last!
- Food: bursting of flavors, plenty small plates, vegetarian options on offer; have 2-3 outstanding stables that I would return again and again for :)
- Service: warm and welcoming without over bearing; easy for walk-in on weekday night especially for solo diner
- Vibe: it is all about the vibe, unpretentious, rustic, contextually appropriate background music, effortlessly chill
- Wine/Drinks: full bar with low/no alcohol options. Short and well curated wine list
- Price: very reasonable for the quality and the neighborhood. That makes a return trip easy, ha.
So what did I get and which I will come back for (dined solo):
- Shawarma Cauliflower, dressed in tehina, pomegranate, zhug. Must have!! I have plenty roasted cauliflower in my life now at various middle eastern / mediterranean restaurants including some with Michelin star fame. However, the one at Shawarma Bar has to be one of the top 3 for what I can remember!!
- Iraqi hummus, aubergine, hard-boiled egg & s’chug. I opted for this one rather my usual benchmark dish - baba ganoush. It was oh-so creamy, nutty with hint of spice; the decorating zhug and pickles helped lighten up the dish and add contrasting textures. It was rich and came with a pillowy, warm pita that I didn't touch at all :) Barely finished 1/3. Probably better for share.
One pet pee: I love aubergine but the one slice accompanied the hummus was oddly out of the place - a bit dried / bland, didn't add to the flavor or the texture.
- Braised mushroom, sweet potato and spiced tomato sauce. Prob my least favorite tonight, a tad too sweet, starchy than my liking. Or maybe just didn't go well with the other plates I got, both of which were quite earth and scrumptious.
Also a note, the starter here are not exactly tapa size. For one, I ordered 2 starters and 1 size; finished half and boxed the rest home :) Lunch is solved.
Will be back and try more soon!

I made my first order from here. It was chicken shawarma, and I can say it was very tasty! BUT unfortunately it came cold as it was simply wrapped in a paper so it cooled down very quickly on the way. My advice when ordering online ask for silver foil wrapping. Will be getting from here again . Think you!
The Christmas Menu cost 245 with tax and service fee. This is a price for a Michelin starred restaurant I believe. However, during the dinner, first of all, while the waiter was serving water, he poured the water out of the glass. Second of all, the waiter didn’t remember the course I ordered and my boyfriend ordered, he miss served a lot of times and we need to switch our plate. Lastly, the table wasn’t cleaned up when serving the dessert. Moreover, there is no introduction of the course, they just put it in the table and left… Also, they dropped the forks to my body while they are trying to put it on the table… Most importantly, before we enter the restaurant, the front desk was saying the fixed menu has more choices and it is specialized menu for Christmas, which is why it costs more tho an usual. The regular price for a main dish is around 35, which is why I am so angry this time because I felt I am fooled by the restaurant…
Kudos to the chef! The food was brilliant!!! Our waiter -Vasil was attentive and really helpful. The only recommendation is for more vegetarian options to be included in the menu :)
Went for Christmas Lunch. The food was very good and I enjoyed it. I liked the jazz trio doing Christmas covers. A few bits let it down for the price point:
1) There were non festive diners mixed in with festive tables despite a lot of space. This killed the atmosphere a bit.
2) I was told the bar was closed and couldn't have an old fashioned then saw someone else with an espresso martini.
3) I was told there was no port.
Overall I still enjoyed it and would like to try it another time with thw regular menu.

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, clean and tidy. The dishes are good, especially the sauces, rich flavours. However, I do feel there lacks some kind of balance in terms of the food. The dumplings are a small portion, more like a starter than a main course, making it a little overpriced, yet the dessert is a very large portion. The sauce of the dumplings is creamy, but a bit too salty. It would be perfect if there are more dumplings and less sauce. Similarly, the sauce of the dessert has a very strong flavour, and the meringue is really well baked, very soft and tender, I love both of them but they seem to not have a balance. Excellent place with an inside smoking area, serving traditional Bulgarian cuisine. The staff is very friendly and versatile, and the atmosphere is unique & welcoming. This is the second time we have been there, and we will gladly come back again.

Lovely Authentic Turkish restaurant, Good for big and small group. The food was amazing very tasty and good portions. I personally loved the Hallimi cheese. The service was friendly and professional. Definitely coming back.

One of the waiters dropped a hot salsa gravy on myseld and i got serious injuries on my shoulders, arm, neck and leg. In addition, the entire dress has been ruined. Last but not least, the business lunch has been completely ruined with an embarrassing situation in front of my clients. Once the incident happened, I had to wait over 10 minutes before someone came to check up on me (they vleaned the floor instead). After the accident, I emailed the venue to ask for a proper compensation for the damage and the associated business loss but they ignored request. They also refused to provide me with the recording of the accident and they never open an accident file report.

Das Essen war schmackhaft, aber das gewisse i-Tüpfelchen hat mir persönlich noch gefehlt. Sowohl beim Ambiente, als auch beim Service kann ich nichts aussetzen.
I took my mum, my 1 year old daughter and my sister out to eat for the first time here and ordered a mixed platter for £35. After eating a few chips and 2 lamb ribs (which i was also feeding my daughter!!!), we bit into the wings and saw this. RAW uncooked meat. We all felt sick and reported it to the manager who said this is normal! She said she could re make the chicken wings which we refused as we did not want to eat anymore as we lost our appetite!! She then said shed take £10 off our bill which should have come up to a total of £25. She then brang us the bill, which we read and it said £98!!!!!!!!! I told her this is wrong as we only ordered a 2-3 person mixed platter and she said it was a mistake. I then said i do not want to pay for food we did not eat! We had 80% of our food remaining which was left untouched due to being put off by the raw meat. She then said we had to pay as we ate the chips and rice. I was shocked. I then walked over to the family next to me and showed them these photos and asked them if they would eat this or pay for it if this was the food they received. They were disgusted and said no. I then walked over to the manager and showed her the same photos and said “if you are genuinely happy with the way your food was cooked today then you should have no problem for me to post these photos on your google reviews”. She then stormed out and her male worker shouted something in his language to my family and signalled for us to leave. I asked him if his manager was returning and he said yes. I said i will wait to resolve this. She then returned after a few minutes later and told me and my mum and my sister to leave. We received no apology for this. My mum then started throwing up next to the bin opposite the restaurant. Shame on you. I am not ashamed of posting these photos as it is a health and safety issue!!! We were left felling unwell and extremely upset by the service we received!!!
Sehr lebendiges Restaurant mit sehr gutem, sehr schmackhaften Essen, das Baklava als Dessert hat uns besonders gut geschmeckt. Es ist nicht so in Honig ertränkt, sondern mit ganz viel Pistazie.

Salad are big and good quality, roast meat and bred too. If you like Mediterranean taste you can try different meal and enjoy.

Great, tasty food. Queues out of the door during weekday lunchtimes. Reasonably priced, too - Halloumi wrap eat-in (£4.50), Lamb shish wrap eat-in (£6). 50p cheaper if you take out. Thoroughly enjoyed my food - halloumi was grilled nicely, spiced well. Wrap was toasted just right & contained a good amount of pickles, chilli, red cabbage. Why 1 point off? Because its so busy/ tables full - little bit messy. Slow to clean tables & saw them get orders wrong. Saw ppl opposite me have wrong thing sent to them. But, food is great! RECOMMEND.
Tolles türkisches Restaurant mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Zuvorkommende und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Derzeit kann man auch (noch) spontan hingehen. Sehr zu empfehlen!
