We ordered from the Banquet menu and whilst it represented good value it was not great quality .
Love home cooked Indian but the pakora was breaded chicken nuggets Yuk. Reformed chicken instead of marinated chicken in batter. Manager said thats how they come in now. . Also Onion Barji were flat and red like uncooked burgers in stead of round balls and a deep golden brown . Shame.
Always use this Indian restaurant, very good food, not overpriced, friendly staff, always have a chat about football. Use it to sit down or a takeaway.

Poor experience. Went with my elderly Mother EARLY evening. We had booked. We were sent to an area right at the back where a music speaker blasted out music.
We told our waiter and he just walked away!
Starter of prawn cocktail poor. No Bread, lemon or Marie rose sauce but something resembling jam!
Main course of biriani had a tasty veg curry but I had 2 slices of egg onto of some greasy basmati rice.
Sadly I guess they hadn't realised I'd just returned from a tour of India where I experienced how it should be done.
It appeared to us that larger groups got all the attention and we were the poor relations.
We left feeling very poorly treated and it's doubtful we will return.

Party of 10 this evening and excellent service. Food was amazing and all fully enjoyed. Food came all together and staff brilliant. Prices are exceptional value for money . We love it . Barclay and friends
The service was lovely and very catering for. The food looked delicious, however, the tofu must have been old or the chicken not as well cooked as I spent the evening throwing back up my food and I hadn’t had anything else for it to be anything other than this food. This is just a note to make sure the food is 100% in condition. At the time it was lovely!
Sat by the door and all noise and plates dropped my experience. Aside of those and the fact that I'm in front of a toilet 🪠 it was beautiful.
The menu is huge, so I order different dish every time I'm there. So far, all of them were delicious. The portions are huge, most of my friends had to take their leftovers home.
It's not the most romantic place because the tables are close together. It's great for groups and you can bring your own alcohol.

Have only used as takeaway and the food has been really good on both occasions. It's a BYO booze which helps keep the bill down. Nice friendly staff in a no frills restaurant.
Quick delivery and top chap who answers the phone to take order. Best biriyani around and super hot balti is immense. Been to a few local Indians now and this is the best hands down

We always order takeaway so I can't really comment on atmosphere. Love the food. Lots of variety.. We're working our way through the menu!

Shame…we were looking really forward to a takeaway treat. Tried to call but no answer after nearly 5 minutes ringing or going to voice mail. Then ordered online on their website direct and received confirmation for delivery 25 mins later. After an hour and a half, called to see where the order was, and they mentioned they had an issue with online orders and we needed re order and would deliver in 45 mins to an hour or so. No apology or sympathy whatsoever😳. Disappointing service as the food is usually pretty good.

Seven of us went for the Banquet Night recently and it was superb, two were children who were very well looked after.
Everything we ordered was delicious.
Enough that we all were able to have bits from all the platters including our personal main courses.
Food was hot and very tasty as always.
Staff were attentive and fun without being over the top.
Thoroughly enjoyed a great evening out.
So pleased we have this gem of a restaurant on our doorstep.

Unfortunately, having ordered what we thought to be 5 buffet meals we had extra charges on the bill.
The king prawns were like rubber and the onions bhaji had been cremated.
Staff were rude and impatient when taking the order and especially rude when I asked about the extra charges.
'The extra charges are your own fault for not reading the menu properly and people get offended when they are told they're making a mistake'.
Our 3 children were asked individually what drink they would like, after having asked for water. The waiter then said a second jug of water would be £15 and turned his back.
The last time we ate here was 2 years ago and 3 us were ill the next day. This time only 2 of us were ill. So a slight improvement.
We won't be returning to this restaurant!

If you're looking for a place to eat where the staff is warm & welcoming - this ISN'T it!!!
We've been here twice now. The 1st time we gave them the benefit of the doubt as it was a large party, but the 2nd time there was only 5 of us.

The food is mediocre at best. The waiters are surly & behave as if they're doing you a favour to be serving you. One in particular is definitely in the wrong job.

I get that English probably isn't his 1st language, but that doesn't give him the right to be rude to diners.
Eat here before food is good can't fault that however twice in a row now we have barely sat down and they hound you to order not even a drink offered as yet. Place was quiet so not sure on the rush. Literally every 2 minutes coming over and always walking by your table it makes you very uncomfortable. First time just accepted it paid a nice bill to tune of £130+ but last night this happened again I asked what's the rush we have just sat down not even had chance to look at menu and so it continued so we just paid for the drink we ordered and left. Such a massive shame as food is really nice. Sadly won't use again as not even an apology offered

I've always enjoyed the food and atmosphere at the Balti House. They offer a varied menu, with a great choice of house specials. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and they provide an excellent level of service. I'll be back to sample more of their menu for sure!

I came here tonight for dinner.
Food and service was great.
Was really nice to meet Alex he is very passionate about his restaurant.
I highly recommend.
I will definitely be back soon.
Very loud and crowed, wait times more than 45 minutes, just ordered chicken Biryani and chicken dosa, a normal wait time. Should be 15 minutes maximum, no Time estimate given, not really friendly staff, very loud, worst experience so far
Good choices on their menu. Decent food, friendly waiters. Worth a visit.

Ordered a meal. Half of the meal was not even in stock, however I was not told this upon ordering.

Food came out, very disappointed especially when no alternative was offered and staff were very disinterested in compensating the fact I'd paid full price for a meal that never arrived at my table.

Is very stupid to even contemplate asking an establishment when ordering food if they have items in stock, but seems to be the case with the eye of the tiger Bournemouth.

Okay venue, terrible food experience & lack of empathy from staff as a result.
Haven’t been for over 5 years as moved away. On a short visit here and this was my first stop. Still the most amazing masala dosa! Tried the noodles like other reviewer said - awesome! LOVE DOSA WORLD ❤️

I took my partner here for V-Day. The food is wonderful, great portions for 2 people. The service from the staff is delightful, charming and helpful. The price may seem a tad high, but it's worth it for the quality and flavour of the food. I Highly recommend the mango and lime cider.
Really nice experience here. food was amazing, so many dishes you can choose from, the naan bread oh, my favourite, is delicious. the stuff is so friendly. also a big thumbs up for how clean the restaurant is

Amazing food you get in bournemouth around station. I’ve visited this place in my trip from Nottingham 2 years ago and revisited this restaurant again because i tasted the best indian food in uk was here. Please check timings before you visit. Mutton biryani was extraordinary and the chicken noodles ive taken away to have it in my coach was amazing 😋 The thinnest noodles ive eaten till now! Being a foodie and having a passion towards cooking. I can suggest you tasting any biryani/fried rice/noodles in this restaurant. Happy eating 😁
Had an upset tummy hours after eating. Waiters wait around not saying much and just standing at the bar. Had to keep asking for water even when they saw our cups were empty. Nothing spicy which was a shame. Yeah overall it’s not bad but not the best.

I would have definitely given 3 stars but the service provided by the gentleman was warm and efficient , he was really outstanding and service friendly . I forgot to ask his name so I could mention it here .
The dishes are overpriced and the food is average . Ambience is decent with decent menu options .
Overall , not many Indian restaurants in the vicinity will work well for the restaurant.

Das Essen und der Service war super, jedoch muss ich ein Punkt abzug machen. Weshalb ich ein Punkt abgezogen habe liegt es daran, dass er ein Aufpreis fürs "zumitnehmen Verpackung" verlangt hat.

We've lived in this area for over 8 years and known about Bombay Palace but never been in before - what a revelation!

Quite a cosy, basic restaurant, the first thing to note is it's not licenced for alcohol so you have to BYO - I quick trip to Waitrose just down the road and back with a nice bottle if white wine and 3 large bottles of Cobra that came to around £12 in total, and it is the cheapest drinks we've had in a restaurant in years!

The staff are great and it's a really good menu with good value prices - lots of choice with some less familiar dishes as well as all the usuals you would expect in an Indian restaurant.

One word if warning - there are quite a few dishes marked as Vegan but ask to make sure - the vegan vegetable balti was great, but the Naan bread it came with had ghee (butter) on it. They swapped for a plain tandoor bread, which was fine.

The food was absolutely delicious and great portions too ... between three of us, we has enough to take home in a 'doggy bag' for another full meal!

This is now our go-to restaurant for a really good curry in Bournemouth!

The chicken on the bone was cooked to perfection, it fell off the bone, was tasty and moist. Had a couple of meals from here and have not been disappointed yet. Beautiful authentic food. Had the Chicken pathia today just so delicious.
Heerlijk eten en goede bediening
