Favourite Indian restaurant in Cologne. I've been going here for over 5 years and have never left disappointed. By far the friendliest owners and waiters in cologne, amazing food and great atmosphere. 6 stars.

I tried the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Palak Paneer and it was the best I've ever tried in Germany. Such an amazing place that I accidentally found while walking past and thought I would give a try. I will definitely return! Also the Mango Lasee was great! Wow!
DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND FOR INDIAN FOOD!!!!

Okay, let's begin.. I'm writing this review because I'm pretty pissed with this place and bad food is cherry on top.

So me and my friend entered the place with a happy attitude to taste some good India food.. We saw this popptlal uncle t y p e winter /manager.. He WAS EXTREMELY RUDE FROM THE BEGINNING. We asked for a table for two.. and he squeezed us in at the corner seat near the entry door.. And we saw as other people arrived table for 2, he gave them good places to sit. I went to the washroom to check available places, there was some tables empty and not reserved. I checked.. moving forward with food..

This was the WORST FOOD I've ever eaten in my life... I'm not exaggerating.. I once ate 10 days old dal (hard times..) but even then I didn't got stomach ache and nausea.. Here THE DAL MAKHANI WAS OLD... it smelled BAD.. me and my friend, we both got sick after just tasting this dal.. Chawal (Rice) were old.. you know you can smell OLD FOOD RIGHT? Some rice looked dehydrated, as it gets after long time for refrigeration.. The PANEER gravy was salty.. like I guess they have some stock of salt from daandi march left with them.. (historical joke!)

Complimentary to the exit part, we exited the door.. and noticed the Side banner of this restaurant.. and they have vertical positioning of Om Symbol (🕉️) - see photos.. it's really disrespectful to our culture.. please correct it.

God bless.. may karma take it's course on you for disrespectful behavior towards your guests.. (If shrap dena is still allowed, I still want to contribute one to the disrespectful guy.. ✋🏻) 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 (-5 stars)
I have been to Cologne twice now and I have been to this restaurant during both visits.

The restaurant is decorated as the name would suggest, which makes for an interesting experience. It is not over the top or overwhelming, but I think something to keep in mind when traveling with kids.

We had curry as main with the garlic naan as side. The naans are as one would hope - with a lot of pieces of garlic. A personal favorite, so I'm very happy with them.

The curry is simple but delicious and with nice chunks of meat in it. My friend had the mild version, I went for the "chili spicy" one. The mild one wasn't spicy at all and mine only had a sharp edge, but nothing much. It could have been more spicy for me, but it is definitely not a letdown.

Next time I find myself in Cologne I will definitely visit again!
The dining experience at this Indian restaurant was a mixed bag. The Chole Bhature stole the show with its amazing flavors, but the Kadai Paneer and Naan were just okay. While the service was commendable, the steep prices didn't quite match the overall taste. 💸🍲👍

Fell sick first time after eating anything in Germany. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Probably because of the extremely oily food.

We walked out after being seated by a waitress who chose to point at our table and mumble her speech. Our drink orders were questioned as if we shouldn’t have been choosing them. We said not to worry about the drinks and walked 10 minutes up the road to a different Indian restaurant who actually appreciated our custom.

This place used to be good. So went there after a long time. Worst indian food i had in Germany. Was there on 15.12.2023, around 21:00. Odered Kadai chicken and Nan. What they served had nothing to do with Kadai. And looked very old. When they asked, I gave them the above feedback. They then brought new curry. But the damage was already done. Struggled with severe diarrhoea the whole night! Filthy place!
Very nice restaurant with a variety of different dishes. The starters are the best part, especially the chicken Manchurian, chicken lollipops and the bhindi kurkure. With regard to the main courses, the tandoori chicken is delicious, but of course some others can be a hit and a miss. The ambience is not bad, but it can get quite crowded during peak times. Reservations should be made beforehand. The service staff is very friendly. The prices are on the higher end, but still okay for the occasional treat. Would definitely recommend.

Jaipur restaurant in Cologne, Germany, offers a medium-quality dining experience with food that falls within the average range. While the ambiance may be pleasant, it's a place that could use some improvement in terms of the culinary experience for a more satisfying dining visit.
One of the best Indian restaurants in the area , delicious food with great service. Chicken tikka was very delicious . We tried the kolfi and was delicious too .
So, I actually wanted to like this place. The food was good (4 stars) and interesting, the service was friendly, and they’re open reasonably late, which makes up for the not so great ambiance (really brightly lit). But my mood turned completely when I saw the check: we had ordered papadam with a few chutneys as a starter. The chutneys came in 4 small bowls, maybe 10-15ml each. Exactly the kind of stuff you get for free in a lot of Indian restaurants (not saying that I expect it to be free). In addition to 4.50€ for the papadam, they charged us 2.90€ EACH for the chutneys, totaling 11.60€ for just those 4 tiny bowls. This is just absolutely obscene. 2.90€ for all 4 would have been pricy but acceptable. But if you charge 2.90€ per chutney, how can you serve just a 10ml portion? I felt this was just a giant „F you“ to the customer and I will certainly not give them any more business. In the restaurant industry they should know that customer treatment matters.

Fantastic place. Mr Fedrick is a gem of person. Highly recommended this place and food is awesome. Flavourful and ambience is fantastic.
The best Indian ever food in Europe. Very good service, ambience and quality of food. Super hygiene. Owners from Haryana India . Overall sexy everything 😄🌹
The Indian cuisine here was exceptional, hands down the best I have tasted in the city. The flavors were absolutely delightful, and every dish was a well executed!

The welcoming ambiance and uniquely designed decor added to a great dining experience.

To top it off, the owner went above and beyond by offering us complimentary dishes to sample. It was a generous gesture that made us feel truly valued as customers. Would highly recommend this restaurant!
The best Punjabi i ate here. The taste of punjabi subjis is very good. They provide very good service. It is also a budget friendly hotel not a costlier one. They have to work on kaju sabji too. If you want to eat kaju kri, kaju masala etc then it's not suitable for you because they didn't surve kaju'a sabaji. They have a very vast amount of variety in paneer sabaji and rice.if you are in a köln they i should recommend you to come here and eat.
It was a cozy restaurant, surprisingly it wasn't that crowded. The staff were friendly. Lot of vegetarian options. Very less waiting time. The service was good. For was quite tasty. Starters were crispy and the tastiest among the food. Probably the best Indian restaurant in Köln. We tried Gobi manchurian, and bindi fry. For Main course we had roti, kadai paneer and bindi masala.
As my experience it's one of the best Indian restaurant in Cologne, it's a classy restaurant, the food was really delicious, "Gosht Biryani" was as spicy as I expected! If the food is spicy, you can have yogurt, it's free.
The menu is in English and German, and there is a seperated menu for drink and wine, and homemade options has been highlighted.
The staff were really friendly and the servic was outstanding, the restaurant accept almost all payments card. Highly recommended!
The food was really good. Their portions are quite substantial. We ended up packing up our food abd it will easily give us another meal. One of the best Indian restaurants we have come across in cologne. The service was quick and kind and professional. We ordered the hot, abd I found it just right, but it was quite spicy for my boyfriend. Naan was quite close to the real thing as well. The tang in the panner jalfraize was just right and was a good accompaniment to the creamy dal makhani. Their lassi was very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place.
