It's a cute small museum that shares the history of Ladysmith, its events, timeline and who the place was even named after. There's a staff there who greets everyone visiting and offers a mini-tour before leaving us to explore ourselves. When we visited there was a mini part gallery upstairs on the second floor too!
There's also a small gift shop, and lots of interactive content amongst the displays and artifacts. We enjoyed a good 10-20 minutes of exploring and got some souvenirs.
Ladysmith museum is definitely a place to drop by if you're visiting the Ladysmith area. It's free admission, plus there's free street parking nearby too.

Michael's is one of the bigger arts and crafts shops around here. While their prices aren't exactly cheap, their discount and sale events make it worth a visit! With a membership I got rewards plus 40% off my item during one of their sales. The store is very clean and organized, with staff walking around and ready to help customers. You can also order online for pickup, delivery or walk in store to see what's available, as some items aren't shown online.
This is my go-to shop when it comes to buying book nooks and miniature arts. I highly recommend visiting Michael's on their discount and sales periods!

So many delicious cakes and treats are sold here! I adored all the desserts Daan Go had to offer, during the time that we visited. We signed up for membership points and used a discount for the Christmas macaroons and a tiramisu cake. Both tasted wonderful and filling. From time to time, the store sells limited time and event treats. The bakery - although a very small area with little to no seating - is great for take out and ordering online is a breeze. Employees there are also kind and attentive to orders.
The prices are pretty up there, so it's only worth getting desserts here once in a while. But otherwise, I recommend Daan Go cake lab if you're looking for creative and cute cakes and treats for any special event or occasion!

It's a great stopover during our winter road trip. The Big Apple appears to be open all-around season where in wintertime there is a lot of Christmas decor out plus a Christmas market. I enjoyed my time browsing through the country grocery store, where they sold more than just apple produce. There's fresh honeycombs, baked goods, toffee and other farm produce sold fresh here. At that time we also got a free box of honey candies with our purchase during a winter sale. The raw honeycomb tasted awesome!
Prices vary depending on what you're buying. There are restrooms available, and a factory section where you can watch bakers create the apple baked goods like pie from scratch. I definitely want to visit this place again, during the summer and recommend this place to anyone on the highway passing. The Big Apple is an open and welcoming place to customers of all ages and very family friendly too!

This museum is one of my top 3 places to visit in Tokyo! The tour is free, and you get the chance to visit a display area and gift shop in the first half, then visit 2 of the hangers in the last half. This included 7 info displays which you can scan your visitor card to collect virtual stamps, sit at a cockpit and even take quick photoshoots wearing the JAL attendant/pilot uniforms! The second half required helmets, and we walked through the hanger to see both landing planes and planes underworld. We broke up into smaller groups to do this, and got to see the pokemon designed JAL planes flying in as a bonus! Our tour guide spoke a little English, and did most of the tour in English - but she was still quick to check up on us from time to time. I loved everything on the tour, and highly recommend the JAL Sky museum especially for aviation and plane enthusiasts!
