Great destination for real ale lovers. Opposite the train station. Has proper boozer vibe. First stop on day out in Macclesfield. New brewery for me, Town House brewery from Stoke. Lovely pint of Olicana. In 2021 and 2022 Good Beer Guide. Good start to the day.

Proper local on edge of town. Multi room incl Pool and Darts room. Had a lovely pint of Marston's Pedigree. Good locals vibe with 1980's classics on the speakers. Worth a few minutes walk down Chestergate to find.

Lovely friendly locals bar near town centre. Lovely pint of Theakstones Best. Proper cosy bar. Small covered outdoor seating. Good choice.

Great pub in busy Didsbury. Camerons is a Hartlepool Brewery reinventing itself. On our latest visit with Martin in 2023 they had a mix of own beers and beers from Three Brothers, Thornbridge, Alphabet and Full Circle. Had a 4.6% Sticky Toffee Porter by Three Brothers, Stockton. For trendy hipsters there were several craft ales. Good selection of wine. Staff really friendly and well trained.

I remember coming here in 1999. The first time I encountered the Pintxos cocktail stick system of food self service. Glad to see it is still here. ( Go to Bilbao says Booth.) Booth and Madge chose some really good food and continued on the Vermouth. Busy bar next to the Cathedral. The front terrace was for people having full meals. Inside for drinks and Pintxos. High customer turnover so soon found a seat.Touristy but..we are tourists says Madge!
