Popped into this pub with Ric " The Hat" McTwitty. Drinks only for us but lots of people eating so cannot comment on this other than cheaper than the Ambleside Inn opposite. A good selection of 5 real ales if you ignore Sharp's Doom Bar. The Dark Star ran out so had St Austell Proper Job Pale Ale. Very good. Beer patio to front but no space on a sunny May Friday. Pleasant and spacious interior. Pint and a half of Madri £7.95.

Out and about in Manchester with Albrecht. After a Sunday roast at the Abel Heywood Albrecht spotted this pub close by. It is many years since my last visit. It has hardly changed with a lovely wood panel interior. The pub wraps around a central bar. Sharpes Doom bar (eugh) and ( thankfully) draught Bass on handpump. Bass, once the biggest selling beer in Britain, is now a rare find. We enjoyed our Sunday afternoon pint while a singer kept the locals entertained.
After a short rest Paulicarus, Jorvic and us two Golden Oldies headed out to explore. Spotted this micro brewery but the beers are generally too strong for me so had a 0.33l Estrella Galicia at 5.5%. (Still too strong!) I grew up on pints of session beers of about 3.6%. I do not like to "slowly sip" a beer. Nice interior, music a little loud.
This is one of the must visit places in Malaga. Paulicarus and Jorvic just happened to walk past exactly on 11 am opening so for a brief while we had the bar to ourselves. An array of large barrels has a wide variety of wines. We sampled a couple each. All lovely. We also had a 5€ plate of cheese. ( Also prawns, fish, meat and veggie options.) They have bottles of beer available plus a small selection of spirits. Stand at the bar and your tab is chalked on said bar. Lots of locals bring empty bottles to be filled for takeaway.

Stopped into a bar, we passed along the way. Paulicarus got down on his knees and began to pray..that I would not rip off California Dreaming any more in this review...but "Malaga Dreaming" is a great place to wander. Keep finding new places to drink in Spain's 6th largest city. Lovely interior to this bar plus outside seating on a pedestrian street. 3.80€ for a pinta of very fizzy San Miguel. Friendly staff. Stayed for another and also food...pork cheek in red wine sauce ( no teeth required). 12€ but yummy when shared between us all.
