Ahmed Al-Akki

I took an evening tour of the old town. It was less than an hour. There is not much to see between the historical houses and I didn’t see the interior of any of them. The walk was very short, but the highlight of the tour was the visit to the fort. From the top of the fort you can see the ruins of the old town and the oasis area across the road. An elegant and very well organized visitors center. This center welcomes tourists wanting to go on tours.

The sign says that this is a water well, but I didn’t see any well. Maybe I missed it. I think this place needs to be better organized.

A nice mosque with an adjacent small cemetery. There is also a drinking water fountain on one of its outside walls.

This mosque is beautiful from inside. The blue color lighting give it an elegant vibe. There is a small fish tank inside with live fish inside the mosque. This is very unusual but it adds to its charm.
