I am just so happy that in the Netherlands the grocery stores and shops are so close. Compared to suburban Canada where you have to walk 5km to do your grocery shopping, this is paradise (albeit a bit of a drab paradise). The bakery (Jongerius) is fantastic and I was very pleased when they added a Kruidvat drugstore where you can find just about anything. The stationary store is great for picking up the occasional card and office supplies. Where possible I try to support the local, independent shop owners too.

I love the variety of both non-food and food products at Xenos. I am always sure to find something pleasantly surprising there.
