One of the only playgrounds in the touristic city centre. Opened finally after year(s) of waiting. It has 4 swings, a big slide, big sand box, trampoline, sound-tubes.

Sometimes, I feel the person who designed this playground has little idea how children play.

There is a series of sharp concrete columns in the middle of the sandbox - crazy (my daughter hurts herself each time jumping on it), no jungle gym (climbing frame), the wall-climb areas are too shallow to climb and too steep to run, the trampoline is made of slippery plastic, the sound tubes don't really work, the ropes are "unusable", the water tap is still faulty, and so on. We were disappointed when we discovered these problems during the first weeks, after the long months of waiting.

I find it would have been much better if they keep it simple, and put in just the traditional things that children need: lot of swings, more sleigh, wide and big jungle gyms, and a (safe to use) sandbox.

As for cleanliness, unfortunately many parents coming here smoke and throw away the cigarettes, the bottom of the trampoline was full of trash at the opening, and young people come in to drink and throw away bottles. Please, if you come here, put your trash in the bin.

All in all, this playground could have been the jewel of playgrounds in the city centre. Instead, we only come here when we are short of time, and want to stay nearby. As for children, of course they have fun, as they have fun everywhere.

I can give three stars, but it is with goodwill...

Update:
Water finally works! :-)
After about a year of regular visit: our original complaints about the design remain unfortunately.
What we miss the most is the possibility to close the gate - small children run out to the street easily.
This where you can take bus 100E or 200E to the city centre. For tickets, there are several machines, and also a counter inside. At busy times, often there are staff from the public transport company to help buy tickets. With 100E, you can reach the city centre (Deak ter), it needs a special ticket for 3€. With 200E, you can reach the Metro line M3 at Kőbánya-Kispest (terminal of the bus) with 'normal tickets' for 1€. I wish there would be more detailed information for tourists.
Great playground, little zoo next to it, can walk in the forest. If you got bored of Park Georges Henry, a good option for a change. For kids between 1-12 years old.
