Fish Finger

Nice to see a bit of green in the city centre. Really well repurposed building and a great place to live. Rent is a touch high but you get what you pay for. Good modern apartments in an excellent location.

Good pharmacy in my experience. The staff aren't the most friendly but they've always given me my prescription when I've asked with little fuss and that's their job so I'm not complaining. I've never had to call them for anything so can't really speak to that experience. I've never had much issue with stock outside of having to come back in a day or two so they can order something in. Good pharmacy overall.

Not great unfortunately. Really poor selection here. If you want crisps and a drink then you're set. But if you want any fresh food or bread or eggs or even milk then you've not got a lot of options and sometimes nothing there. The staff are a little standoffish I've found too. Not rude or anything, but definitely not friendly by any stretch. They will literally never off you a bag no matter how much stuff you've brought to the til, then when you ask for a bag it's like you've asked them to jog up up half a mile to get one for you. Good location just off the main road, it only really needs a better selection and friendlier staff.

The food is great, very tasty. I've been in for breakfasts and dinners and they're both good quality at really good prices. Particularly I would say to nip in at dinnertime. They've got a bit choice of things to have, I really like the salt n pepper chips, can't get enough of them. If they're not on when you're on but normal chips are then you can ask them to put the salt n pepper stuff on them for you. Just a little secret from me to you. I haven't purchased any actual meat from them because I'm allergic to cooking real proper food but it all looks good quality. They have a section too near the entrance where they sell special seasonings and stuff which I would recommend having a look at. I've had vastly different experiences with the staff but only one where I'd say it was actually bad. Most of the time it's either fine or they've been super friendly above and beyond so I'm more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt. I will say sometimes especially around dinnertime it can get very busy and it's tough to tell where the line starts.

I don't come in often because I'm a cheap old man who goes all the way to Asda for the bargains but this is a great shop regardless. What's nice is that it sells such a different array of items to the other places around Stockport. It's a Polish shop I believe so there's a bunch of stuff you won't see elsewhere and some of it is really nice. I'm a degenerate so my favourite bit are the crisps but if you're a normal healthy person then they have great selections of fresh meat and veg too to make a real grown-up tea with. Great selection all round honestly. My only complaint is that the rows are a little narrow at times but maybe I just need to lose weight.
