A huge museum offering pieces from prehistory through nearly modern day. As a tourist in the country, this was a great stop on day two of the country, so I could get better context on the nation of Azerbaijan and its people.
The museum shaped like a rolled carpet! Unfortunately, the architecture of the museum ended up being my favorite part of the visit. The museum is fine, but there’s not actually that much area for exhibits, and it’s really just a bunch of carpets.
Armenia just has some of the coolest, most dramatic statues that I’ve seen, and Arno’s certainly fits the bill. What a dynamic representation of the man.
There are a few museums in which the building itself is another piece of art, and this is one of them. A huge hallowed hall surrounded by statues of the titans of scientific history.

On my first trip around the museum, I only took in the architecture and the statues, before moving to the exhibits and truly impressive fossils reconstructed into their former animal forms.

A giant, well-maintained park filled with statues and ponds. Kensington Palace sits at the west end and offers tours. Lots of people walking their dogs, people running, and tourists exploring.
