I was invited to take my son to this park to do a junior park run one Sunday morning. It would be our first time visiting, and I must say it was worth it.
This park is much bigger than Horton Park beautifully designed. It's a fantastic place to take your kids and dogs. It's got 2 play areas for kids. One that is open, made from logs with a sipline, and the other enclosed for the smaller kids. It has an amazing garden and a huge pond home to white and grey swans. The pond is lovely to walk around with your dogs and enjoy the scenery.
Parking may be an issue depending on when you attend. Most people park on the road park side.
Really recommend visiting this place on a sunny day.

This park is a beautiful park managed by the Bradford Council. The landscape is amazing. I was surprised to learn of the fossils in the park, and I liked the way they presented each piece in a playful way for the kids to enjoy. There is a lovely pond with waterfalls. The ducks in this pond are some of the largest I have seen anywhere 😳. It is a lovely place for a run, a little less than 2km. I enjoyed running around the pond but had to play hopscotch around the ducks. I didn't use the cafe or boat rides, they weren't working at the time. I loved the grand entrance to the park and the statues. Definitely one to see. Lovely place for a day out with/without kids.
Love this place. Nice place for dogs and kids. It's a small park, but so beautiful throughout the year. Love the way the snow looks on the trees in the winter. You should see it, it is beautiful. Be very careful walking on the road from the Bartle Lane entrance. Please watch out for cars, it is a road. In the autumn, when the leaves fall on the road, watch your step. It's very slippery.
I finally entered this building after visiting Lister Park so many times. The park is lovely, but the building is equally so. I can't say that I am a fan of art, I prefer architecture, but there are some great pieces of artwork here. In the gallery, you will find the largest collection of David Hackney's lifework beautiful displayed. I must say it was very interesting to wall through. Works displayed by Osman Yousefzada that I completely don't understand, but some people seem to like it. What was more interesting to me was the portrait exhibition by Shy Burhan of 'Women in Uniform'. Her display of women of colour defying social stereotypes in professions normally held by men. Very interesting. Art is now digital people, amazing. The gallery is one to see. They encourage kids to visit and host craft sessions, and it has a cafe.
This place is slowly falling apart, sadly. I like this place, mainly because of Primark and Sports Direct. It's the place to visit for affordable shopping, especially in these times when everything is so expensive. I shop for most of my kids' casual wear in Primark. Can't beat the prices. I learnt something about this place recently that is so amazing. In the market, there is beautiful artwork. Next time you use the ATM machine, look at the wall in front of you. Venture into the market and look up. You will see the most amazing tiled artwork. Talk about the most unlikely places to display art above a market. Wow! I go to this place so often and never knew they were there. Talk about hidden treasures, hidden in plain sight.
