I didn't expect much, so I'll give it 4 stars (for basically staying at the place for 2×10 minutes). The first driver who took us to Gofsand Sara was OK. Then some people tried to convince us to get our backpack to Camp 3 by mule, which we kindly declined. Good thing was that he didn't push it more. The other who took us back to Camp 1 was very nice, spoke English quite well and was very helpful. Cheers to him!
It is not a cheerful place, but I guess most people stop here just to use the mule service or start their trek.

A simple, no-fuss place for basic needs. Little English is spoken, but with Google Translate you can get answers for your trickier questions as well. There is a small shop selling snacks and water (so don't expect anything for dinner), and there are dorm rooms with bunk beds. Our room floor was flooded somehow, so ended up using our shoes in the room as well (you need to take them off when entering a room). Hot shower is available. The staff can organize 4WDs to get you to Camp 2. The place could be cleaner, but for 1 night I cannot complain. The manager/staff tries to help wherever he/they can. Altogether, a simple but effective place.
