Really really good burgers! I tried the Deluxe burger and had a lager. The meat patty was juicy and flavourful. Generous filling.

The place has a good feel to it; the staff were friendly and accommodating.
Informative and spacious museum. There are 3 levels so take your time to browse the exhibits. The people of Taiwan video gave a good look of the typical people in Taiwan with different levels of income.

Just wish there was more noise control. Understandable that there would be school trips ongoing on a weekday morning and afternoon, but there should be more control of their talking, shouting and banging. Made certain areas very unpleasant to stick around in.

Visited as part of the Taipei free walking tour. Beautiful temples with intricate designs throughout. Recommend visiting with a guide who will be able to explain the significance of the temple, the designs, and the rituals going on within.

Such a great place for ginseng chicken but do note this is the only dish served here. The shop is located on a second level so you will need to climb some stairs to get there.

The soup is served in a pot so it remains piping hot the whole way. You will be given lots of side dishes, a small bottle of ginseng, and noodles. The rice is cooked with the chicken.

Overall an enjoyable meal but do take note of some things if you’re a tourist. The shop is run by one man, and he is very particular about the way things are done.

1) When we arrived, he asked us to have a seat (did not say where so we went to a table suitable for 2 people). We did not want to occupy a big table and inconvenience others if it got crowded) so we chose the smallest table we saw, a 4-seater. Turned out to be a good choice as he later asked a female customer to move to another table as she chose to sit at a big table.

2) We had by then dined at a number of Korean restaurants so we got into our usual routine and opened the drawer at the side of the table to take out the chopsticks and spoons in there. The owner immediately stopped us and basically told us with gestures to just sit and not do anything. He indicated that he would bring everything and place them accordingly. I even saw him stop a customer at another table from shifting the dishes while he was still in the midst of serving all dishes. He only spoke Korean so he communicated using hand gestures.

3) We had also taken out the wipes from the drawer but he asked to return them. Requested we instead use the sink at the entrance to wash our hands after.

4) We finished our meal and asked to pay our bill but he indicated for us to continue sitting and gave an after-meal drink.

Overall a nice but slightly strange experience. Would recommend it for the food, just don’t get offended by the owner, he just seems to prefer his fixed way of serving his customers.
