Bought a kids dress, but my daughter doesn’t like it so I brought it back to the shop to return it. But the shop staff told me they don’t accept returns as their policy and pointed the small sign to me on the checkout counter. And they issued a store voucher instead.
Not really pleasant with experience. First, I think most of the retailers in NZ accept returns.
Second, I have no problem if you make up your own store policy that doesn’t accept returns. But the staff should mentioned it when customers make the purchase at the checkout counter. I don’t think most shoppers would pay attention to the small sigh explaining the no-return policy.
Will go back again, because we have to spend the voucher on something…
