I was disappointed by this museum which is quite small (an hour of visit max), there are some interesting exhibits but also other parts that are way less interesting.
The underground with the light installations is very simple but creates a very nice effect. However, as it seems to be the major attraction of the museum, there were constantly people stuck in this room, which makes the visit way less enjoyable.

The most interesting windmill in Zaanse Schans, definitely worth the visit.
Seems to be the most popular though, the place was too crowded on a Sunday afternoon. They should regulate the number of visitors coming in.
Beware staircases inside are steep and I saw many elderly people struggling with it.
If you are coming with kids, keep on eye on them.
Also on windy days be careful not to get too close to the windmill sails on the observation deck because they are turning very quickly 😅

Small windmill, the visit is a bit expensive for what it’s worth (visit can be done in 5”).
One of my favorite places in Amsterdam, a little gem right in the center but protected from the hustle of the city ! Peaceful and a bit out of time…
The 2 guys that work here were also so nice, they let me in even though they were about to obviously close the gates and were so funny !
One of them even took the time to come up explain the history of the begijnof.
Let’s hope this place will remain preserved!

Huge modern mall with plenty of food stands upstairs. Within walking distance from the train.
