I opted to use the ‘Click and collect’ service and paid additional charges for that. With Covid surge in the community we want to avoid being in stores as much as possible.
It is then extremely disappointing to encounter standing at the designated ‘Click and Collect’ desk only to be told to join the longer queue with every other shopper in store.
I would understand the ‘Click and Collect’ area being used for in-store shopping checkout when no ‘click and collect’ shoppers are present, however, click and collect has additional charges already applied…the ‘Click and collect’ area is specific for these customers. If I wanted to shop in-store I would be an in-store shopper!!
I left the store - this certainly lessens our attraction to shop here again. We are in the process of relocating and travelled some distance with time constraints to complete this purchase process. The collection of our order was notified and at other stores is usually straightforward process for the fee applied.
For some reason ‘Click and collect’ at Briscoes appears utterly pointless. When a fee for a specific service is applied there is a need to acknowledge provision for that service. Probably won’t rate Briscoes or the Westgate store high on my ‘must support / buy here rating. Not recommended. We will need to stop in again at a later date or see if the order can be changed to being delivered. If I knew this would be their idea of service I would have just paid a small additional fee for delivery…
