Meh... okayish, but compared to e.g. the park around the Palace of Monteserrate the garden feels more "quantity over quality". There is some nice nooks and corners to explore along some impressive fauna, but not worth the admission and extensive walking compared to other options in Sintra, and it is buuuusy (even on a weekday). Best part was to see Pena palace in its center. It is beautiful from the outside and certainly elevated the experience.
A very impressive complex, with the cathedral itself probably not even the most impressive part, though in itself also great to behold. But we were even more impressed by the court yard next to it, adorned with some of the most amazing azuelos art we've seen in Portugal. Also the trip up to the top of one of its towers offered great vistas of the city, and all that for a very fair entrance fee.
