Had a set meal, starting with a whimsical experience of fishing tofu balls out of a fishbowl. Service was excellent and menu well curated. I can’t give 5 stars as the taste was not well defined across every part of the meal. Deep fried items like the meat ball karate and tempura were slightly oily, perhaps fried too early but taste wise still very good. Sandos were very nice, but too small. They should offer this larger as ala carte and will probably have very good business from it.. The grilled salmon was ordinary, can find in the hawker bento boxes. The salmon pulled the score down many notches. Chawanmushi was the best dish on the menu. Extremely soft but yet with a good bite. The last dish before dessert was a nice beef slices in curry. It was nice and soft, but meat was over marinated with soya sauce. The curry gravy on the other hand was perfect. Dessert had red bean, mochi and something that was too milky. Struggled to finish.
