Indian Express is a gem in Bangkok's vibrant food scene, offering some of the best Indian cuisine in the city. My recent visit to this restaurant was a delightful experience from start to finish. The menu boasts a variety of classic Indian dishes, and we decided to try the chicken biryani, chicken korma, and garlic naan. I must say, every dish exceeded my expectations in terms of flavor and authenticity.

The chicken biryani was beautifully presented, with perfectly cooked basmati rice layered with tender, spiced chicken. The aroma of the spices filled the air as the dish arrived, and each bite was bursting with flavor. The balance of spices was impeccable, making the biryani one of the best I’ve had in Bangkok. The chicken korma was another highlight; its creamy, rich sauce was a perfect blend of spices and cream, enveloping tender pieces of chicken that melted in the mouth. It paired wonderfully with the garlic naan, which was soft, fluffy, and generously topped with garlic, providing the perfect complement to the rich korma sauce.

Beyond the delicious food, what truly stood out was the hospitality at Indian Express. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was pleasant from the moment we walked in. They were quick to accommodate our needs and provided excellent service throughout the meal, adding a personal touch that made us feel welcomed and valued.

The ambiance of Indian Express is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, with a relaxed atmosphere that allows you to unwind and enjoy your food at a leisurely pace.

Overall, Indian Express offers an outstanding dining experience with some of the best Indian food in Bangkok. The quality of the dishes, coupled with exceptional hospitality, makes it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. Whether you are a local or a tourist, Indian Express is sure to leave a lasting impression with its delicious food and great service. If you’re in Bangkok and looking for a place to enjoy flavorful Indian dishes in a welcoming environment, Indian Express is definitely worth a visit.
Siam Discovery

Siam Discovery is a unique shopping destination in Bangkok that stands out for its innovative design and concept. Unlike traditional malls, Siam Discovery reimagines the shopping experience by blending retail with interactive and experiential elements, making it a must-visit for both locals and tourists looking for something different in the heart of the city.

The first thing you'll notice about Siam Discovery is its distinctive design. The mall features a sleek, minimalist aesthetic with wide-open spaces, clean lines, and a lot of natural light, creating a modern and inviting atmosphere. What sets Siam Discovery apart is its emphasis on lifestyle rather than just shopping. Instead of grouping stores by brand, the mall is organized into themed zones that combine products from different categories, like fashion, beauty, tech, and home decor, all curated to complement each other. This innovative approach encourages shoppers to explore and discover new items and trends they might not have considered otherwise.

Siam Discovery also excels in offering a diverse range of products, from high-end international brands to local Thai designers. It’s an excellent place to find unique items that blend global trends with Thai craftsmanship. The mall is particularly known for its strong focus on design and creativity, making it a favorite spot for those who appreciate contemporary fashion and lifestyle products.

One of the highlights of Siam Discovery is its “OneSiam” concept, which integrates technology and art into the shopping experience. You can interact with digital displays, participate in workshops, and experience immersive installations that enhance the overall shopping experience. These elements make Siam Discovery feel more like a creative space than a typical mall, providing a fresh and engaging environment that encourages exploration.

In addition to shopping, Siam Discovery offers a wide range of dining options. From chic cafes and dessert shops to international restaurants and gourmet food stalls, there’s something for every palate. The dining area is thoughtfully designed, providing a comfortable and stylish setting to relax and enjoy a meal after a day of exploring the mall.

Located in the Siam district, Siam Discovery is conveniently accessible via the Siam BTS Skytrain station, making it an easy addition to any Bangkok itinerary. It’s also connected to other major malls like Siam Center and Siam Paragon, allowing for a comprehensive shopping experience in one of Bangkok’s most popular areas.

Overall, Siam Discovery is a refreshing departure from the traditional shopping mall experience. Its innovative design, curated product selection, and interactive elements make it a standout destination in Bangkok. Whether you’re interested in fashion, design, technology, or just want to experience a different kind of shopping, Siam Discovery offers something for everyone.
Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) in Bangkok is one of the city’s main airports, serving as a hub for several low-cost carriers and regional flights. It is an older airport compared to Suvarnabhumi Airport, and it shows in some aspects of its facilities and infrastructure. However, Don Mueang offers a functional and straightforward experience for travelers looking for affordable flight options within Thailand and to nearby countries.

The airport is conveniently located about 24 kilometers north of central Bangkok, making it relatively accessible for those staying in the city. Transportation to and from the airport is easy, with options including taxis, buses, and the nearby train station that connects to Bangkok’s main rail network. The convenience of reaching Don Mueang makes it a popular choice for budget-conscious travelers and those looking for a quick getaway.

Inside the airport, facilities are basic but sufficient. There are a variety of dining options ranging from fast food to local Thai cuisine, as well as several retail stores, duty-free shops, and convenience stores for last-minute shopping or snacks. While not as modern or extensive as Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang provides the essentials needed for a comfortable wait.

The check-in and security processes at Don Mueang are generally efficient, although they can become crowded during peak travel times. The airport staff are typically friendly and helpful, but the overall experience can feel a bit hectic, especially during busy hours. The seating areas at the gates are limited, and it’s not uncommon to find yourself standing or searching for a place to sit if the airport is crowded.

While Don Mueang International Airport may lack the modern amenities and sleek design of newer airports, it serves its purpose well as a hub for low-cost airlines. The airport is functional, and efficient, and offers a more straightforward, no-frills travel experience. For travelers looking for an affordable way to fly within Thailand or to nearby destinations, Don Mueang is a solid option. However, for those seeking a more comfortable and modern airport experience, Suvarnabhumi might be a better choice.
Siam Square

Siam Square is one of Bangkok's most vibrant and bustling areas, offering a dynamic blend of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Located in the heart of the city, Siam Square is a popular destination for both locals and tourists, attracting a diverse crowd looking for the latest in fashion, food, and culture.

One of the biggest draws of Siam Square is its extensive shopping scene. The area is home to a mix of high-end malls, such as Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery, each offering a wide range of international and local brands. You can find everything from luxury boutiques to trendy streetwear shops, catering to a variety of tastes and budgets. Additionally, the nearby MBK Center provides a more affordable shopping experience with its numerous stalls and smaller shops selling electronics, clothing, and accessories at bargain prices.

Beyond shopping, Siam Square is also known for its food options. The area boasts an impressive array of restaurants, cafes, and street food vendors, serving both Thai and international cuisines. Whether you're in the mood for a quick snack or a sit-down meal, you'll find plenty of choices to satisfy your cravings. The lively street food scene around Siam Square is particularly notable, offering delicious local dishes such as pad thai, mango sticky rice, and grilled meats, which are perfect for those wanting to sample authentic Thai flavors.

Siam Square also offers a variety of entertainment options. It’s home to several cinemas, including the luxurious Paragon Cineplex, which provides a fantastic movie-going experience. The area is also a hub for nightlife, with numerous bars and clubs that come alive in the evenings, making it a great place to unwind after a day of shopping and exploring.

Overall, Siam Square is a must-visit destination in Bangkok for anyone looking to experience the city's modern, energetic side. Whether you're a shopaholic, a foodie, or just someone who enjoys exploring lively urban environments, Siam Square has something to offer everyone. The mix of high-end and affordable options, along with its central location, makes it a convenient and exciting spot to spend a day or evening in Bangkok.
Coral Island, also known as Koh Larn, is a well-regarded destination in Pattaya, renowned for its clear, turquoise waters and scenic beauty. The island offers a picturesque escape with its pristine beaches and inviting waters, making it an appealing spot for relaxation and swimming.

However, it's worth noting that the island has become increasingly popular with tourists, which has unfortunately led to a noticeable decline in water quality. The influx of visitors has contributed to the accumulation of waste and debris, diminishing the once-crystal-clear waters. This environmental impact is something to be aware of if you’re planning a visit.

During my trip, I observed a significant presence of Indian tourists, which added to the island's vibrant atmosphere. While this can be a plus for those seeking to connect with others from their own country, it’s important to be prepared for larger crowds, especially during peak seasons.

One point of caution is regarding the activities offered on the island. I recommend avoiding certain activities promoted by local operators, such as parasailing and underwater walks. Some Indian tour groups in Thailand organize these activities, often promising high-quality videos and photos of your experience. However, the reality is that the photos and videos provided can be of very poor quality, to the extent that it’s difficult to even recognize yourself in them. It’s advisable to either seek out more reputable providers or be prepared for the possibility of receiving low-quality media if you decide to participate in these activities.

Overall, Coral Island remains a beautiful destination with its clear waters and charming environment, but the increasing number of tourists and issues with certain activities can affect the experience. If you’re planning a visit, it’s a good idea to manage your expectations regarding water quality and to carefully select activity providers to ensure a satisfying and enjoyable trip.
