This place loses 2 stars straight off because of the overbearing intrusive security staff dressed all in black they stared at me constantly and followed me around completely over the top and it spoiled my visit.

Other German galleries do this too, why?? I work on a gallery and I don’t do it! You don’t need to, manically walking around why??

It’s €9 entry. The building is a good space to display the art. Some great Picassos.

The only issue I have with this place is the security staff. Wow. Just wow. So intrusive. All dressed in black like some squad of inspectors waiting to pounce.

Otherwise it’s a great gallery. Apparently voted most beautiful gallery in the world.. mmm that I can’t see. But it’s a great gallery space however.

Some beautiful Buddhas and bodhisattvas.

It’s all hung by theme which I’m not much of a fan of.

Could do with some improvements but you’re getting 4/5. Just sort your imposing security out please

Lots of Italian artworks mainly religious in theme. Lots of 14th & 15th century pieces. €8 entry.

Better signage on the pieces would be good

Now this is how to do a national art museum! Fabulous purpose built venue for an amazing collection.

Great lighting and signage. Loads of space for coats & bags in downstairs cloakroom.

About 200 krona entry. Spent 3 hours there could have been longer quite honestly!

Spread across about 6 floors. Top floor is my favourite the more modern Swedish and Scandinavian collection. Also has some nice French Impressionism works and a great Van Gogh too and an interesting video on the research that has been done on how it was painted.

Nice shop. Got there at 11am when it opened no real queue.
