Went there for a quick lunch in between touristic visits because of all the good reviews. I was more than disappointed to notice that the service everyone in the comments was so adamant about was nonexistent. A rude server who seemed more than annoyed by our arrival (at 1.30pm) brought us our dishes with disdain. On top of that, my friend ordered a goat cheese salad asking if it was possible to remove the bacon as he doesn’t eat pork. Server went to the kitchen to ask, came back and told us it is impossible as the bacon is wrapped around the cheese. My friend who went on to choose something else was stopped by the server who told us “too late, I already sent the order to the kitchen”.
The salad looked good even though the bottom of the plate was watery, but our main deception was that service who left us a very bad aftertaste…

This museum puts together many pieces of the WWII with tanks and vehicles (still functional!) and a lot of dioramas reenacting some parts of the conflicts. The two floors will marvel you with their richness and the front of the museum will allow you to walk around tanks.
The only downside is sometimes the lack of information, but the front Clerc will be more than happy to help you find the lacking informations.
Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves WWII remnants and machinery.

The béguinage is a historic landmark situated in the heart of Amsterdam. This place full of serenity is a hidden gem. The heritage the beguines left is very rich even though the visit itself doesn’t last more than 15 minutes. But if you look for information, you’ll find pieces of the history lying in every corner.
Silence is a key rule in the béguinage, because even though the last beguine died a few decades ago, it is still inhabited by about a hundred elderly ladies who take great care of their flowering gardens.
Don’t miss the wall regrouping the tile stones collected from different Amsterdam houses - they represent either a family name or a profession. An unexpected curiosity.
