Overall good experience, the food and beverage are very nice, (I'm eager to try their Roma-style pizza next time) but the ambience is chaotic. There is quite often a queue outside and the entrance is managed as to leave inside always more clients than the available seats. As per my experience, you better add a 2 € table charge per person and head to the upper floor where you have more chances to find yourself a seat and you get table service too.
We selected this restaurant to have a break from German food and it was a good choice because the food was delicious. We had a range of different appetisers, one of which we got twice, then a plate of gyro and roasted octopus. We were stuffed but could not resist ordering a dessert and a Greek sap wine.
It's a very short journey upwards, the whole tract is in a tunnel so no view while you climb. It is basically an elevator. The cost is too high at 10 euros round trip.
It's a very nice museum although a bit confusing. In some cases, it's not possible to take pictures no matter if you have maybe travelled thousands of miles to be there, obviously, I couldn't follow. There is a nice bar on the top floor with a great view of the Parthenon. I suggest purchasing the audio guide else you will not understand what you are looking at.
I bought my tickets online, adding the audioguide in my home language and it was a fantastic experience, there are so many things to know and if you don't invest a few euros you miss 90% and you will end up just watching carved stones. I suggest joining the first schedule at 8:00 am because very soon the place gets packed and you cannot enjoy or take good pictures.
