Museum Judengasse
2023 Aug 17
Museum Judengasse is a very good museum and interesting museum. Judengasse was a former ghetto (1462-1796) that was torn down in the middle of 19th century, and newer houses were built over the foundtations of the old ones
The neighborhood's two synagogues were destroyed in 1938. In connection with new construction in this century, they excavated the area and chose to build a museum around several of the houses in Judengasse. Really nice presentation. (Visit on July 22, 2023)
Fichtebunker

Really interesting guided tour of the bunker and its history by Berliner Unterwelten. From its start as a coal gasification over the Second World War to storage in case Berlin was blocked during the Cold War.
Casa de Zafra is a nice 14th century Islamic house with a lot of texts about the history of Albaicin and especially in the Islamic period, very short resumes in English.
Cave of the Sibyl

The path seems to be used as a garbage area and i overgrown. I did not go in there.
The idea is very good with films that show not only reconstructions from Herculanum, but also from Pompeii. I don't really understand why the watch-like thing one is given is necessary, as it is only used three times. There are additional texts in several places and some texts only in Italian.
Some of the films felt a bit like: see what we can do with a computer.
And please, let somebody translate the English texts again. Some of them were so bad, that they were meaningless.
Go there before you visit the excavation.
