Disappointed.
Decent location and menu, however, I expect so much more for the price.

The food was cooked well and the menu was inventive but nothing I've not seen before. I'm disappointed with how they can rack the prices up just because they have a nice exterior and location.

The scallops were rubbery and cold. The creme brulee was not caramelised. The mushroom fettuccine was overpowered with garlic.

I would never return. I've been to plenty of restaurants with far better food and service for a far better price.

There was also a 12.5% service charge for ordinary service. Unless the service is outstanding, I don't want to feel obliged to pay a service charge.

So poor for the high prices.

What a gorgeous restaurant and incredibly nice staff. The food was so delicious, I do recommend the mushrooms as a starter. I went with my friend who is a vegan and there were plenty of options for him, the staff even offering to invent a dish for him. No vegan wines. They brought out a vegan cheesecake for me as a birthday treat. Amazing culture at this restaurant you really must visit.

One of my favourite coffee spots in Birmingham. Never disappointed. Very fairly priced and everything tastes yummy.

Coffee, cold drinks, pastries, and the best crepes I've tried in Birmingham for such a reasonable price! Sweet and savory crepes available. I love the apple and cinnamon and the tomato and mozzarella pesto.

Indoor and outdoor seating.

If you haven't been already you're living under a rock.

Wow! My new favourite Italian place in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter. A beautiful cosy restaurant perfect for families, date nights, and for big groups.

I absolutely love the vibe of the restaurant, which is beautifully decorated and plenty if seating. Fantastic atmosphere and attentive staff.

The menu is varied with pasta, pizza, salads, sides and desserts. A lovely wine selection too.

Beware all the food is piping hot! I burnt my mouth a few times but I'd rather have hot food than cold!!

The stuffed mushrooms were delicious and so filling for a starter! I also enjoyed the Linguine alla marinara, and the chocolate gateaux.

I will definitely be visiting again!
If you're not buying, get out :)

This was this impression I got when I visited the Clarendon Fine Art gallery in Birmingham, for the third time!

The gentleman who greeted me claimed to have worked at the gallery for 8 years. As I work in sales myself, I seriously value relationship building, whereas this sales rep neither introduced themself nor asked for my name. I felt discriminated against, possibly because I was dressed causally and I was not intending to buy on the spot!

I told this gentleman that I don't own any Art and I did not disclose any budget I had. I simply wanted to admire a few pieces I had seen through the window. This rep claimed that's fine, but then persisted to ask me questions including, which pieces do I like the most, how many pieces do i own already, what's my timeline for buying a piece, who would I buy with, what I do for work...

How desperate are you to make a sale? May I admire the Art in peace?

I will not be inquiring at the Clarendon Birmingham through this salesperson, which is a terrible shame as they had some interesting prints.
