One of Sydney’s well kept hidden treasures! Stumbled upon this museum on a random drive out enjoying the scenery of outer Sydney and you would not have realised in the heart of historic south western Sydney is this gem, filled with stories and reminders of everything that has shaped modern Australia. The team here are absolutely lovely and take so much pride in keeping the stories alive. The exhibits are a bit dated but only add to the charm. There is a lot to learn and ponder in this small but well maintained and volunteer run museum. Well worth the stop!
We visited the Power house Museum last January , we just walked from one museum to another. No entrance fee .
Highly recommended when visiting Sydney. It has memorable artifacts from Australian railroads space travel and many more. Lots of interesting displays.

Great experience. I’ve never been to the museum before. It was a real surprise. It was very special to attend the launch event of Ink in the Lines. Free. An Australian War Memorial touring exhibition. Behind every tattoo is a story of remembrance, mateship, identity and healing.

I liked having the free self service storage locker for my small backpack. Definitely not a huge museum, but I did enjoy it. I was able to get through it in under 30min (I didn’t read everything). Not something I would plan my entire day around doing, but it was free and a decent place to swing by if you are in the area. I did not make a reservation to visit the clock tower, so I did not end up seeing it. I personally do not enjoy guided tours.
This was a really great day visiting Powerhouse Museum. It has a wonderful range of artifacts ranging from Movie Memorabilia, Space Travel Memorabilia and Australian Railroads Memorabilia to so much more. I found it so interesting and couldn’t recommend enough.
Loved the visit as an aviation enthusiast. A bit out of the way by public transport, there's a new entrance. But no issues with driving. Many planes on display with quite a number allowing boarding and exploring. Recommended!
We moesten 3 uur wachten op de Greyhound dus toen even binnen gelopen. Erg leuk dat ze dit museum beschikbaar hebben. Veel geschiedenis beschikbaar over de geschiedenis van de politie van Queensland.
Er is zelfs de mogelijkheid om zelf een moordzaak op te lossen via een app, leuke activiteit!

Beautiful relics, meteorites, historical Egyptian mummies, extremely fascinating stones, interesting animals, giant squid and many more in this museum. Very entertaining and well laid out space. Spacious area. Only certain exhibits must pay to see but most of the museum areas are free for all to see. Not to be missed.
路過時發現的免費的警察博物館，營業時間是週一～週四的9點到16點。大廳入口進去之後要右轉，裡面不能帶包包（小包、相機包除外），但有個架子可以放東西（沒有鎖，但是有監視器，應該沒人敢在警局偷東西吧🤔）
裡面有一些警察舊制服、裝備、職責介紹、案件等等，雖然小小的但精緻。博物館外有個小紀念品店，有一些t-shirt跟玩偶，很可愛。可惜只有開週一跟週三，參觀當天沒有營業😢
ps.參觀的時候有一隻黑色大狗勾在裡面逛來逛去，感覺是警局或是博物館的人養的，很可愛也很好摸！
