Grace and David have the most amazing studio space in Brackenridge, well worth a visit. My mother and I dropped in during the 4017 Open Studios, and we were warmly welcomed in to delight in their beautiful, light filled studio space to see them at work. They also have a gallery space filled with their artworks and they were happy to talk to us about their art practice. Very generous and friendly, we'll be back next time to see what they've been up to.
A great public gallery, plenty of variety. There's weird, modern stuff for the trendy crowd. But also lots of quality, older work for those who appreciate aesthetics. The horse skins are a low point, Chiharu Shiota's 'Absence embodied' was a highlight. Overall, a couple of hours well spent.
