I’ve been here 3x and never really had trouble going to immigration and security check. 5 starts for 5 reasons

1. Very easy to get here with Uber

2. Nice and many restaurants to eat at.

3. The immigration line took about 1 hour waiting considering it was during holiday season. Security was fast. Make sure to print your PDI slip when leaving Chile

4. Not too crowded when dropped off
5. Easy to navigate and go to gate
Bastante a desear... Penca!!!
"Official tourism" Taxi scammed me out of $2600 USD:

I arrived in Chile airport for a long layover and decided to leave to go see the city. I came to this tourism taxi sign and waited for a taxi after ignoring all the people calling to you asking if you need a taxi that greeted you inside and outside the airport.

I am approached by a man who represents himself as a tourism agent with a badge who says he'll match the Uber price (23,000) and I can pay him by card. He leads me and my gf to the parking garage with his van where he says his boss is waiting. We get in the car at parking lot G25. The driver is a father and son team who are very nice to us and I think he's teaching the son how to drive. They drive us to our place and pull out a machine for us to pay outside. He punches in and shows us the price to confirm it matches what we expect. We see that it does and tap to pay. We ask for the receipt but he says he needs to keep it.

Then our debi card company emails us and says we've been charged $2600 USD and they are long gone and we didn't think to get a license plate or make/model.

We report it to the police and then go back to the airport and report it again. The police take our statement and we go to see the cameras but they don't have cameras looking at the places we were and they are unwilling to watch the garage exit to find the vehicle and licence plate because they need to track us into the car (I guess for privacy reasons). But the police are nice and kind and give us a report to dispute the charge with our bank. I feel sad that the airport put him in such a tiny and cramped kiosk.

So overall quite a bad experience in Santiago. Fair warning to everyone not to wait for taxis at the official taxi sign, because looks can be deceiving.

Edit:
There's no places to sit and the floors are dirty everywhere and it smells really bad.

The security line is laughably long. It takes real incompetence to have this long of a line.
The international terminal was like any other modern airport

I was looking for a ATM and had to walk across to Terminal 1 (domestic flights), where there is supposed to be a branch of the Santander bank

The local bus to the city center has two departure points (a) bus terminal on the ground floor in the front right of the domestic terminal or (b) on ground floor terminal road on the front right of the international terminal. It is 2000 pesos one way and 3000 for a return
My recent experience at Benito Moreno International Airport in Chile was truly excellent. From the moment I entered, the atmosphere exuded warmth and efficiency. The staff was not only professional but also remarkably friendly, making the entire journey more enjoyable.

The cleanliness of the facilities was notable, reflecting a commitment to maintaining high standards. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff members were readily available to assist with any inquiries. The airport's amenities were diverse, catering to various needs and preferences.

Navigating through the airport was easy, thanks to clear signage and well-organized layouts. The overall ambiance was welcoming, creating a positive and stress-free environment for travelers.

What stood out most was the seamless integration of technology in various services, enhancing convenience. From digital check-in options to efficient baggage handling, the airport demonstrated a commitment to embracing modern travel trends.

In conclusion, Benito Moreno International Airport provided a top-notch travel experience. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a first-timer, the combination of friendly staff, cleanliness, and modern amenities makes it a highly recommendable choice for air travel in Chile. My time at this airport was not just a journey; it was an enjoyable part of the adventure.
Very good airport, modern infrastructure and high level of service. Easy access with rental car go/return. Would recommend
PROS: new construction is spacious, well illuminated and attractive as far as design. Customs (PDI) works efficiently, quickly and in a friendly manner. No need to remove your shoes or unpack your electronics when departing.

CONS: Excessive walking distances from the gates to the restrooms and migration services on arrival. Long lines for TSA (or PDI) on departure.
Brand new airport so everything is clean and well maintained. If you are looking to exchange your USD’s think twice before doing it here. They will rip you off, do it elsewhere in downtown Santiago.
