Αν θέλετε να μάθετε την ιστορία του Octoberfest και της μπύρας τότε πρέπει να επισκεφθείτε το μουσείο μπύρας!!Σε ένα παλιό αρχοντικό του 14ου αιώνα ένας πολύ όμορφος χώρος για να μάθεις πολλά αλλά και να χαλαρώσεις πίνοντας μια παγωμένη μπύρα στο κελάρι!
Wer mal nach München fährt sollte sich das unbedingt anschauen. Ein Stück Münchner Geschichte
Fantastic little museum! One can't miss while visiting the city! The friendly senior staff said its one of the oldest buildings in the city, incredible but dont expect much accessibility for there are very long stairs to climb, but its so worth it! We loved the exposition about the german beer history and about the Oktoberfest! Very lovely! Theres also a bar there!
Posto sopra una ristorante dell'agustiner... All'entrata c'è una macchinetta automatica per fare i biglietti poi si scende al locale e da una porticina si sale fino al 4 piano...per poi scendere e scoprire tutta la storia di questa fantastica e storica festa...🍻🍻🍻

War erstmalig in diesem Museum. Ein altes Bürgerhaus wurde dazu umgebaut.
Die Tickets bekommt man über einen Automaten im Eingangsbereich der Plastikgeld oder Bares nimmt. Originell: Das Ticket wird von einem Mitarbeiter auf einen Bierdeckel gepappt, das ist dann Dein Ticket.
Nun geht es erstmal zu Fuß in den 4. Stock. Die Erbauer müssen Bergsteiger gewesen sein, so steil geht die Treppe hinauf. Ich habe allerdings auch einen Fahrstuhl gesehen...
Die Sammlung geht auf die Geschichte des Bieres und des Oktoberfests ein. Wir fangen also in ferner Vergangenheit an. Man arbeitet sich Stockwerk für Stockwerk von oben nach unten durch.
Das müsst ihr nun aber selbst erleben, es ist auf alle Fälle interessant. Ist man unten angelangt, steht man in der Wirtschaft. Wir haben uns erst mal ein kühles Augustiner Hell die Kehle runtergeschütet. Zum Essen kann ich leider nichts sagen, wir waren zwischen den Zeiten im Museum.
Kritikpunkt: Die Belüftung sollte besser werden. Wir waren hier im Sommer, die Luft steht.
Ansonsten, einfach mal reingehen. Es wird viele Aha-Effekte geben.

It is worth to visit. You will get nice view of Taunus mountain range and Kronberg town. You will also see Frankfurt with high rise buildings.

Its a nice half day tour from frankfurt, the castle was open on bank holiday and there was entry fee too. Nice views from the castle though!
I did not expect too much before visiting this castle after having seen a few stunning castles across Germany. It ended up to be a pleasant surprise.
Similar to most castles, there are the usual structures. However, I like the way they restored the buildings that you get a rusty and nostalgic feel. The ruins of the time are evident.
The views are spectacular with Frankfurt on one side and Taunus on the other and villages around. You can climb up the Freiturm to have different viewpoints as well.
There is also a display of a few wooden human figure sculptures in a small room in the Oberburg. A short footpath allows you to walk around the Oberburg and the garden if you like.
Unfortunately I missed the guided tour to the inside rooms of the Mittelburg and could not see them as they only had 1 at 1430 on the day I visited. I also missed the Museum Stadtgeschichte which opens only on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. So plan your date and time of visit if you want to see the whole thing.
Lastly, a word of caution, the place is yet to improve their mobility friendliness.

A nice, well-maintained castle situated in Kronberg, not too far away from Frankfurt. It can be visited on your own or (suggested) with a guided tour (German only as far as I could gather). However printed material is available in other languages. You can enjoy the historical atmosphere and the nice view far over the valley.
