This place has a lot of good vegan and vegetarian options, I ordered pumpkin soup and feldsalat, it was really good, almost perfect.

Seit nun mehr als drei Jahren uns gut bekannt. Immer wenn wir in Berlin sind, ist ein Abstecher im Restaurant quasi Pflicht. Aktuell hatten wir zwei Jahre Pause und wieder war es eindeutig so, dass die Qualität der Speisen und Getränke hervorragend war. Geändert hat sich anscheinend, dass man das Menükonzept am Abend verlassen hat und nun doch à la carte bestellen kann– was den Speisen allerdings keinen Abbruch tut. Nachhaltig vegan, vegetarisch – alles Begrifflichkeiten, den man gerade in heutiger Zeit nur zu gerne eine gewisse Mode unterstellen mag. Hier werden diese Dinge auf hohem Niveau gelebt und das schon sehr lange. Ein wundervoller Start mit dem Sauerteigbrot & Butter, gefolgt von dem Bete Carpaccio, Blutorange, Fichte. Ein echter Gaumenschmaus mit ungewöhnlichen Geschmackskombination in sehr ausgewognem Verhältnis. Der gerösteter Lauch, Gruyère Käse, Zwiebeln bestach durch eine sehr ausgewogene Würze im Spiel zwischen Lauch und Käse - wolkengleich! Der Seeteufeleintopf, Merguez, Muscheln, schwarze Butter war ebenso ausgezeichnet und harmonisch und ihn ganz besonderer Weise ein Gericht, was am Gaumen haften blieb im Geschmack auch noch lange Zeit nach dem Essen - Chapeau! Ein sehr cremig wundervolles Rhabarbersorbet mit Eierlikör schloss den Abend sehr erfolgreich ab. Das Ambiente des gesamten Restaurants ist außergewöhnlich schön mit einer guten Mix Tour aus Nostalgie und moderne – ein ganz eigener Stil mit einem wunderschönen Innenhof und eine sehr angenehme Möglichkeit bei entsprechendem Wetter sehr schön an lauen Abend auch draußen zu verbringen. Immer gerne wieder!

Wer Gemüse mag: Hier gibt's das Beste. Es ist soooo frisch und lecker. Da tröstet es auch darüber hin, dass die Auswahl sehr eingeschränkt und spezifisch ist.
Auch ja. Der Filterkaffee ist Spitze !
Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und ein Muss für jeden Veganer/Vegetarier.

Réservation en ligne la veille pour 2 personnes pour un brunch dominical. L’endroit est très agréable, on s’y sent bien. L’équipe est aux petits soins et répond aux questions sur le contenu du buffet qui est d’une très bonne qualité. Je retire une étoile car je trouve que ça manque de variété pour le prix proposé (28€).

So so experience: i ordered a 54Euro ribeye steak which was an huge mistake, at least 1/3 of the steak full of grizzle, not eatable. The octopus was descent. At the end the waiter was insisted on a 10% tip. would not recommend.

Good:
1. Nice cosy atmosphere.
2. Great location.

Bad:
1. Prices are exaggerated. E.g. Salad Cesar without chicken 17 euros (for a bit of parmesan and salad leaves with souce and croutons) 26 euros same salad with hard and dry chicken. Definitely overpriced for such quality.
2. To pay by card you must go to the cashier. "Great" service.
3. Was insisted to leave 10% of the tip for the very usual service.

Conclusion:
Greediness of the owner results in empty restaurant in the heart of the city centre.
Get some experience. Would not recommend a visit. There are many more interesting places with better value for money close buy

Amazing place, kids can play and see many animals. The personnel has been super friendly

A wonderful place with a great athmosphere and little romantic vibe. We were welcomed by a kind waiter who guided us through the menu and gave us excellent suggestions. The food was really deliscious. Try the burrata and the fish soup.

Very nice and cozy restaurant. Food was excellent, service even outstanding. One can notice that all staff loves to work at the place. Prices are not cheap but worth it. Will definitely come back!

Ich bin am letzten Freitag mal wieder ins Michelberger Universum eingetaucht - gemeinsam mit zwei Freunden. Mit Start an der Bar, was gegen 19 Uhr sehr entspannt war und Raum für schöne Gespräche bot! Wir sind dann ins Restaurant umgezogen (online Reservierung ein paar Tage zuvor war easy)! Auch hier zieht sich die freundschaftliche Atmosphäre durch, das warme Gefühl der Zugehörigkeit und ich spürte die Liebe zu den Dingen, die hier gestaltet und präsentiert werden. Der Menüpreis mit tollen Vorspeisen (insbesondere zitronen Ricotta bällchen und Cesar Salad like Grünkohl) und einer Hauptspeise (mit vegetarischer Option) sind fair und machen Freude! Tolle, große Auswahl an Weinen und tagesaktuelle Optionen, wie frische Austern. Und so haben wir schön gesessen und gegessen und auch ein bisschen die Zeit verloren :) Um den Abend rund zu machen ging es nochmal zurück an die Bar. Zu späterer Uhrzeit gibts hier auch ein paar "vitalisierende" beats um die Ohren. Schön! Vielen Dank für den tollen Abend und die genialen Räumlichkeiten um zusammen zu kommen und Energie zu tanken!

Very impressed by this location. Wonderful service, amazing (locally sourced) food and good wine pairings at our Christmas party. Would gladly return.

Small quaint restaurant. The food was delicious! The calamari was to die for! We also ordered the lamb chops as well as the octopus and would definitely recommend as well. The server who might have been the owner, not sure, was a pleasure. Beautiful delicious dinner celebrating our anniversary in Frankfurt.

We came with a large family and group of friends. What a wonderful experience. Food and wine were superb. Many traditional German dishes with great new takes, and a tasty selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes as well - it suited our large group perfectly. The service was great and we were allowed to idle and converse - making a wonderful evening

It’s a lovely restaurant with everything locally sourced and fresh. However, for me, everything tasted ‘too healthy’, plain and without much flavour. But I’m glad I tried white asparagus, it was really juicy and crunchy, very different from the green asparagus I’m used to.

Great food and great concept to have all the dishes based around potatoes. There was still a big enough choice of items to have as little or as many potatoes as one could handle.

The potato soup was thick and creamy and full of flavor.

The lamb meatballs were equally delicious, but I got full on the soup and couldn’t finish it all haha.

I’d definitely recommend coming here if you’re in the area and making a reservation since they get busy quickly.

The fish was delicious! But the sausages were a bit salty. The creamed potatoes were good. There are high standards for the selection of ingredients.

Amazing authentic Spanish experience, wine was perfect. Fish cooked to perfection. Service was impeccable and beautiful ambience with relaxing music and wonderful stone walls and shelves filled with intriguing bottles of wine. Highly recommend!

Organic food, spotless location and facilities and delicious swabian meals. Love it!

The menu is select providing a range of locally sourced dishes. I was there when the white asparagus was in season and had that with a selection of local hams as a main course. The decor is modern but not cold; the staff very friendly. The wine list features interesting local wines and a few foreign options.

We have a very nice lunch, the restaurant is well organized & perfectly respecting the social distancing rules. Services was excellent, very friendly & fast to serve the table.

The food was delicious, many dishes looked delicious so it was tough to choose :) we opted for the coconut curry & pork schnitzel. Coffee was outstanding too !

We stopped by Das Kartoffelhaus for lunch during a day trip to Freiburg. Great food and friendly service. The gratin was perfect and my wife ordered trout. I ordered the bratwurst. It tasted awesome although it was a a bit crispy in places. Otherwise a decent place for a lunch

Quite a shame that this place changed so much. They have a very small menu, which is usually a good sign as they can concentrate on creating a perfect dish. Sadly this is no longer the case here. Our food was stale and our meat was overcooked. Given that they still have an outdoor space, I would recommend it for coffee maybe? But I cannot recommend it for food. Cash only btw...

In keeping with the name, this restaurant mainly serves potato-based dishes. It is fantastic too see how versatile different types of potatoes are transformed into appetizers, soups, mains and sides. The staff was very kind and the service was impeccable, fast yet not rushed. My gratin potato filled with lamb ragout was really delicious, and the same goes for the other dishes that were ordered. Definitely recommended!
