At the time of writing (April 2024) most of the museum is inaccessible. Delightful puppetry exhibition on top floor, good archeology on ground floor but all fine art closed.
Lindo museo que repasa la historia de la ciudad más antigua de Europa, desde las tribus prehistóricas y etapas fenicia, romana, islamica y españolas, pequeño y entretenido con artefactos muy interesantes. La entrada 1.50e adultos, menores y estudiantes gratis.
Close to the main train station and we'll worth a visit if you have time to kill. Luggage lockers avaliable. Very interesting displays with many of the descriptions in Spanish and English. Helpful staff
Tiene piezas importantes y únicas de la época fenicia. Nada más que por ello merece la pena pero por desgracia nos han indicado mal y tarde que están de reformas por lo que la colección expuesta está muy mermada. Hay algunas de época romana y unas pocas de época musulmana. El personal muy amable y atento. La entrada es gratuita para ciudadanos de la UE o residentes.
Great place to spend an morning or afternoon.
No puedes ir a Madridejos sin visitar tan interesante museo, aprendí muchísimo sobre las costumbres y culturas de este pueblo. El guia José Luis ama lo que hace y se refleja en lo bien nos explicó! 🤩
I love the way the information panels are done in the permanent exhibition. They are short, clear and very informative. The museum houses a collection from the Philippines on the first floor along with a small back room designated to Asian religions. The middle floor is for Africa and the top for America. I’m used to the latter being two continents so it was interesting to see both Inuk and Mayan artifacts side by side as the exhibit is divided into different aspects of life and not geographic region. The current temporary exhibits on were from Senegal and China and both very interesting although not in English. All in all a very happy hour and a half exploring this eclectic collection.
Interesting small museum. There a lot of information and artefacts from the Philippines, China, south America on 3 floors. The museum is not so big maybe it takes max 1~2 hours to visit but entrance is only 3 euros and it's right across the train station. So perfect place to kill time before your train ride.
Museo etnográfico u Azafrán de Madridejos, una auténtica maravilla y que enseña la gran labor que hay detrás para la obtención del preciado azafrán de la Mancha el mejor del mundo, muy recomendable visita guiada que también incluye los silos, maravilloso.
Цікавий музей про історію Кадіса та околиць. Другий поверх – мистецтво, але був чомусь зачинений. Вхід безплатний. Переважна більшість інформації лише іспанською мовою, невелика частина має переклад англійською.
Enclavado en una plaza preciosa de grandes ficus y con muy buen ambiente nos encontramos el museo , con una colección arqueológica estupenda, muy muy interesante. Que abarca varias épocas empezando en el neolítico y terminando la época mudéjar. Pero lo más especial es la exhibición de piezas de la época fenicia . Espectaculares los sarcófagos, pero el ajuar ,esculturas , joyas son también interesantes. Época romana con mosaicos y esculturas. Todo muy bien explicado. Una sala que explica cómo eran las necrópolis y los distintos tipos de enterramientos. El museo no es enorme pero es de una calidad grande. La entrada es gratuita. Y el horario es muy amplio pues cierra a las 21 horas. Para mí , no te puedes ir de Cádiz sin visitarlo.
En resa många tusen år tillbaka i tiden får du vara med pm när du besöker museet!
