Como en otros restaurantes los primeros (starter) platos son pequeños (menos la sopa Cullen Skink).
Local muy ruidoso, atienden rápido para sentarte y algo se espera entre plato y plato (en mi caso 20 minutos).
Por lo demás, es un sitio recomendable para comer en Edimburgo.
Es mejor hacer reserva vía web.

我們點了一道當日漁獲（catch of Day)以及蘇格蘭當地名菜哈吉斯award winning traditional haggis，兩道菜都非常好吃。

ランチのコース（円安なので5000円くらい）ですごい美味しいスコットランド料理が食べられます。本当に美味しかった…。また行きたい、というか行きます。
店員さんもフレンドリーでよかったです。
一人だと少し肩身が狭かったので今度は二人以上で行きたいです😇

Popped in while visiting Edinburgh for the evening. Very nice staff who got us a seat outside even though the place was booked. Outstanding Cullen skink appetizer. Catch of the day was delicious and the sticky toffee pudding was amazing. All around great experience.

We went with the salmon and bacon eggs Benedict with extra side of sausages.
Perfectly poached eggs without the yucky translucent bits. Good tangy hollandaise sauce and crusty bread.
Just a minor comment, we ordered more sausages, but the second time it came not pan fried to a nice brown crisp color; looked quite pale.
Best to book in advance otherwise be prepared to wait in line especially on a weekend!

Feel bad giving this place a 3 star review but it was completely average so that what I'm giving it.

At 17.50, it was ridiculously expensive. There is absolutely nothing to justify this price either. It was decent enough quality but nothing special. Only 1 sausage as well.
I'm a fussy eater, and they wouldn't swap anything out. Which usually I don't mind but for the price I would expect they would be accommodating.

By far the best restaurant we tried on a trip to Edinburgh. The food was incredible and so was the service. I got the chicken with cheddar mash and my husband got the beef shoulder with original mash- both were so flavorful and cooked to perfection. We had to get the sticky toffee pudding after reading all the reviews about it and it did not disappoint at all. It was so caramel-y and perfect. We had reservations and were seated promptly on time. I would definitely recommend getting reservations as this place is (rightfully) popular!
Oh my god the food is unreal. Scotch egg for starters was perfectly done. The beef shoulder main is a must have, the meat falls apart, the gravy so thick and tasty and I chose the whole grain mustard mash also a must. Dessert wise you have to have the sticky toffee pudding which is perfection, the crumble a solid choice. Staff are friendly, helpful and quick service. Laid back industrial heavy wood vibe, Neo our waiter helped us with menu choices and did a good job with all recommendations
We walked in for lunch after a visit to Dunbar. Busy little restaurant so lucky to time it for a table. A great choice of good quality pub food.

The best meal I had in Edinburgh hands down. The beef was fall off tender and the potatoes were amazing. We had haggis for appetizers and a lovely cold beer. You won’t go wrong eating here!!
After reading other reviews on here I was expecting a cozy spot for a tasty lunch, but unfortunately instead I got a drab room with mediocre food. Decor was grey and depressing. Food was not worth the price. I had the fish and chips - the batter was pale and the chips tasted like they were cooked from frozen. I asked for sauce and was given one sad solitary packet. Not worth £15 in the slightest.
Food is on the pricey side, paying £18 ish for my "Taste of Scotland plate", inc 12.5% service charge. Given the location and tourist season, it's understandable. Presentation is good, taste is good, and come in big portion. Staffs are lovely and attentive. Popular cafe, you can walk in but good idea to book in advance to avoid disappointment - £5 deposit.
Absolute favorite, especially for large groups!
Alex, our hostess, was incredible. She served our 20+ table with the best attitude and was even super helpful when I was confused on what to order.
She suggested Haggis, and after trying it for the first time; it didn't disappoint.

We had a wonderful time at Wedgwood! The food all was excellent and beautifully presented. The service truly was outstanding, everyone was so friendly and caring — it really made for such a pleasant meal. The restaurant itself is super cozy and not too loud, which I really appreciated. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!
Good spot for a Scottish breakfast. Really enjoyable atmosphere however a little expensive for a full Scottish breakfast (~17£). That said, quality was wonderful and the staff were all super nice.
Would like to return and try some of their other dishes, I suspect I would upgrade to a 5 star at that time.

We booked in advance and glad we did a small and very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We were served with a small throughout, and staff were knowledgeable about the food. Hubby and I ate vegetarian, so not much choice, but what we chose was delicious and looked beautiful on the plate. Ohhh the plalette cleanser was delicious 😋 starters, mains and dessert all high class and tasted amazing. We would defo go neck back!
We were deciding where to eat when I stumbled on this restaurant while searching for the closest one from our location. We were greeted with a smile and had a table set up even though the restaurant was packed. The food was delicious. We were a party of five including two kids. Scallops, golden beetroot, and aubergine fritters for the starters. Then we went with chicken, cod, monkfish, and roasted cauliflower for the mains finishing off with chocolate sachertorte and passion fruit semifreddo. Very pleased with the service. Do put this on your list if you are In Edinburgh.
A small little restaurant but wow does it deliver big. I had a wonderful full vegan Scottish breakfast and macchiato. The coffee was excellent and I’ve got pretty high standards. Make sure to book in advance to avoid having to wait as they fill up quick.
The tasting menu is overpriced. It looked good, but nothing was memorable. It could be due to the quality of ingredients or preparations stored in the fridge. To me, it felt like someone had thrown things together without individually prepping them and making sure they work together. The Venison was dry and served with a disastrous cottage pie in a tartlet. The salmon mousse was fridge cold and the tattie scone stale, but the pickle on top was fantastic. Everything was small (which is fine since it's a tasting menu), except for the dessert that felt like half a litre of lemon double cream (delicious but way too much).

Such a gem! There are two locations, located four doors apart from each other. One is bookings and walk-ins, and one is walk-ins. As we’re tourists we went to the first one and were told to go to the other as we hadn’t booked.
The lady in the first did not acknowledge us on entering and then spoke so quickly I, with background noise and a hearing impairment, could not understand her. A disappointing start.
The second - walk-in only - was totally different. Friendly staff, great food and amazing atmosphere.
I’d recommend the sausage with onion gravy, and my companion had a small Haggis. Tasty, filling, cannot fault anything about the meal, the surroundings , the staff… just perfect.

There’s hardly anything I could fault on my experience dining at Fhior. The experience has been amazing throughout and deserving of a Michelin star.
First of all, the food was amazing, the very essence of fine dining to the core. Each portion was tiny, designed to introduce new excitements on the palate. My partner and had a really fun time joking about it, that it was a very delicious potato fry, or that the resto only need to order a whole duck for the whole restaurant’s dining operation that evening, and more giggling moments about each dish story. In truth, we enjoyed every moment, each dish was really delicious and by course number 7, we were happily full.
The service was lovely, attentive, and very courteous, the type of service we haven’t experience in a western restaurant in a long time (exceed London level). We saw that each server had to lead on introducing certain dish, abd they did really well for such complex descriptions!
We received really nice courteous goodbye at the end of our meal which really finished the experience with a great big smile. I felt proud for booking Fhior for my partner’s 40th birthday.
Atmosphere lastly was next to none. Again, very strong attention to detail. Tables were nicely spaced away from each other, giving a nice sense of privacy. The music was turned at the right volume and was really complementary to the food and to being in Scotland. Very simple decor but very high quality, we loved the little touch to having special knife for chopping few bits of duck (another chuckle for us). Another big plus was that unlike london restaurants, we were not hurried out after 2 hours allotment.
Overall really a michelin star experience and zi would love to come back again!!!

Beautiful Scottish restaurant, located on the east side of the city. Locally sourced ingredients, exceptionally prepared with a modern unexpected twist, for example, a light flavoursome curry making an appearance on a couple of occasions. Quaint and classy setting. Wonderful staff walking you through the experience.
I’m not gonna lie this was the best breakfast I had in a long time. Absolutely on point. Every bite was just delicious. Really great place. Great vegetarian haggis.
There is one shop for reservations and one for step-ins. I would recommend getting there earlier than 10am without a reservation

Fantastic experience. The food was excellent, the special cocktails were delicious, and the service was second-to-none. Great atmosphere.
This place is 5-star in every sense. The service provided by Jason, always attentive to us and super friendly. The food is spectacular, very well-seasoned, I like that a lot, and the location is privileged. I would not only return, but I will also recommend it to all my friends visiting Edinburgh.
I had an utterly delightful Easter Sunday lunch with my daughter at Wedgwood. Fantastic service!
This was the best meal of our whole trip. The atmosphere of the shop was lovely, as well as all the staff, particularly Scott who really looked after us.

We knew this little gem was always busy, so made a point of booking in advance. In short, the food was great, my wife's lamb shank full of flavour whilst my slow cooked beef was to die for. Great selection of different types of mash, wholesome desserts and a friendly , attentive team were on hand to make this a great dining experience.
We ended up eating here twice on our trip to Edinburgh. Mostly because the food was so great but also because they were able to accommodate a gluten allergy. At the time of our visit all of their puddings (desserts) were gluten free. My wife was so excited to find some sticky toffee pudding she could eat. The first time I visited I had the royal haggis mash and the scotch egg starter. Both were great! It was my first experience with haggis and i was not disappointed. The second time we visited I had their lions mane dinner with the mushrooms they grow themselves. It was quite tasty and had a very interesting texture. It reminded me of pork belly in texture. Definitely recommend and if we come back to Edinburgh there is a high chance we will return. Last thing though, I would HIGHLY recommend making reservations, we visited in the off season and it was quite busy both times.
I had wonderful breakfast experience at the Edinburgh Larder. Everything from the food to the service was absolutely perfect, and I left feeling thoroughly satisfied.
While it's delightful to watch the chefs at work and it indeed creates a cozy, home-like ambiance, the lingering smell of cooking can sometimes be overpowering and spreads throughout the dining area. If there's a way to mitigate this without compromising the open kitchen concept, it would greatly enhance the overall dining experience.

We enjoyed the ten course tasting with wine pairings. It was amazing- creative and delicious food, attentive service by Peter, Edith, and Seylah(?). The wine pairings chosen and explained by Phil were top notch. The speed of service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening. Thank you so much.

Really excellent little place! We came for an early dinner with an 8-year-old. Food was great for grown-ups and kiddo. Special shout-out to the haggis parcel (which is parceled in a sort of crispy wonton shell - really nice.)

Reserved a table over a month in advance as this was listed on many 'must dine' lists for Edinburgh. On a Saturday morning there was a queue of almost 20 people waiting to enter the 'Little Larder' so definitely book here in advance.
We were seated on a small table wedged between two other groups of two. The restaurant itself is quite compact so this was both unfortunate and necessary.
I ordered the veggie breakfast which was outstanding. When something as small as the tomatoes and mushrooms makes you smile you know you're in for a treat. All of the food was delicious. My wife loved her 'hash'. The food was honestly faultless.
The cons would be the thimbles they deliver your brown sauce and ketchup in - come on, when we're paying £50 for brunch give us the whole bottle. Reservations also only guarantee you a 1hr time slot - food comes out quickly but I personally found that as we were apologetically handed our bill and told our table was needed for the next guests the experience was soured somewhat.The final con is the aforementioned £50. I'm personally not sold on £50 being an appropriate price for a brunch with coffees and one cocktail but this seems to be the norm these days.
Otherwise definitely worth the hype.

Reservations also only guarantee you a 1hr time slot - food comes out quickly but I personally found that as we were apologetically handed our bill and told our table was needed for the next guests the experience was soured somewhat.The final con is the aforementioned £50. I'm personally not sold on £50 being an appropriate price for a brunch with coffees and one cocktail but this seems to be the norm these days.
Otherwise definitely worth the hype.

Unfortunately it wasn’t the best dining experience. We went for lunch for a birthday celebration. Firstly, and very importantly, it’s Scotland, it’s winter, please heat your restaurant. A small electric radiator is not sufficient and sitting wearing my coat to eat my food is not the experience I expected.
The food was okay but sorry to say it lacked flavour. The cod dish was overpowered by salt. My husband had the turkey dinner which probably was a better option. On a positive note there was no scrimping on the bread and the desserts were divine (not a dessert fan usually so kudos).
When the bill came we had accidentally been charged £40 for a bottle of wine which we had not ordered. This was promptly removed with no fuss.
Overall it was an average experience which was a shame as I had been looking forward to eating here for a while.

It's my second time here, and I absolutely love the place. The overall experience is great. Love the food. Even though I was looking forward to lobsters but they changed their menu every 3 months 😋.

A must try restaurant in Edinburgh! The service was great, and really appreciated the recommendations from the waiter, especially as a vegetarian. The celeriac steak was amazing, and so was the sticky toffee pudding! The dinner deal before 6:30pm is definitely worth it, but make sure to book in advance.
The food was great, service as well. Most of the food plating looked stunning and gorgeous!! What I also really liked were the various utensils and other tableware, that was really inspiring as well!!
On other hand, I was really disappointed by the interior - the entrance area is still fine/ok, but the remaining rooms and furniture look rather ikea (very/bad) cheap ( guests at next table had similar opinion).
Anyway - the gloriously looking and full flavour food can still distract the visitor from the rather below-average interior, come and enjoy!!!

I came in last minute with no reservation so I was delighted when the waitress shifted things around. The manager made time to have a chat with me even though the restaurant was busy. Honestly the food was amazing. I had the oysters and the Venison and it was outstanding. So much so that I had to ask the name of the chef. Thank you Carlo! The home made bread was phenomenal too
Very warm and friendly atmosphere with rustic decor. Every dish was above average. The staff were super friendly. My favourite was the beet salad with cheese.

The Grain Store is phenomenal. We were fortunate that they had a cancellation and were able to squeeze us in on short notice. The staff was fantastic at taking care of our needs, the atmosphere is historic and wonderful, and the food is amazing. I would strongly recommend the venison and the scallops.
Exceptionnel!! Personnels aux petits oignons, cadre reposant et chic, cuisine à vue. J'ai choisi ce restaurant pour célébrer l'anniversaire de ma femme. J'ai fait plusieurs demandes en amont. Tout a été respecté. Même le chef est venu lui souhaiter un joyeux anniversaire. Repas exquis ! Vraiment une très belle soirée et bravo à toute l'équipe multiculturelle!!!

Très bon Château Briand parfaite cuisson. Ambiance feutrée. Evitez de s'asseoir côté véranda car il y a des odeurs de cigare qui provienne du 1er étage.
Excellent restaurant écossais près de la hare de Voctoria. J’y ai mangé un de meilleur burger de ma vie. Mon compagnon a pu goûté le traditionnel « haggis ». Nous avons tous les deux passé une excellente soirée.

Onze gids Fraser had ons aangeraden om hier te komen. Leuke sfeer, heerlijke vegetarische opties, kindvriendelijk en zeer betaalbaar.

I was really impressed by the atmosphere of this restaurant and how welcomed I was made to feel by Paul who gave me some great advice on the menu. Carlos our Chef prepared a super tasty Braised Brisket and the meat was simply perfect! I will definitely return next time I visit Edinburgh.
Bonne atmosphere. Chaque soir il y a un groupe de musiciens qui chante en live des morceaux de musique des années 80/90. Nourriture convenable sans ambition. Par contre le prix des vins pratiqué dans ce genre d'établissement sont très cher.

Très beau pub avec de plusieurs salles, cours ou terrasse pourboire 1 verre ou manger. Des concerts de jazz s y passent mais je n y ai pas assisté
Un restaurant très sympathique. Un cadre agréable. Certes un peu onéreux, ce dernier comprend d'excellents plats en tous genres. Très conseillé !
