Throwing class, party of 4. Over 1 session we were able to make 2 pots. I’d recommend the instructor talking through as we’re throwing as we’d spent around 40 minutes on a tutorial and felt a slight rush toward the end + I forgot everything they said. It’s harder than you think! Overall, a very tranquil experience. Wait time to get your glaze back is up to 4 weeks. Would love to see if they do a private hire BYOB experience! Instructor was so lovely - can’t remember her name.

Great studio, with very talented teachers. It’s a lovely place to spend a few hours learning pottery.

My partner booked a Taster session for a surprise birthday activity and we had a great time! Amy was a wonderful teacher - so kind, patient and friendly. We will definitely be coming back - thank you!

Great experience with Bernie for both the pottery taster session and the glazing session. Learnt so much but also had so much fun. It’s nice how it’s small groups so you can really have time to learn and pick up the skills needed. Really recommend!

I had a fabulous time for my hen do spent being creative with friends. We each made a lovely piece and enjoyed sharing ideas and having a giggle. Highly recommended. I would love to 6 back again. Thanks, Bernie, for a great afternoon!

The Clay Garden is the most beautiful space and has a very friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone! I’ve just finished my 2nd course there and will definitely be going back.

Had a family taster session, which was a really incredible experience and great value. Children got a chance to throw and work on hand moulding, while adults had a full 2 hours on the wheel. Highly recommended

I had an amazing taster session today with a nice lady which unfortunately I forgot her name. It was my first experience and I enjoyed a lot. I definitely will come back and have more sessions.

We had a great Taster session in Barnes on Sunday as a group of 4. Our teacher Esa was lovey & really helped to cleary demonstrate the method & techniques. We all got a few lovely pieces by the end, and look forward to collecting them soon. Highly recccomend this to anyone else - great space & experience, with very friendly staff!

Just back from a wonderful 4hr taster class in throwing with Berni. She's a great teacher, lovely small class of 6 so you get lots of attention (but also she give you lots of space to figure things out yourself if you prefer that). Really recommend for anyone who just wants to have a good go at throwing, with time to mess up multiple times and still come away with something (or multiple things!) Thank you Berni!

I highly recommend Berni's courses! I've had such a good time on my 7 week throwing course and can't wait to join another term. Berni is a great teacher and lovely person. I'm really glad to have experienced my first pottery course with her.

I've completed the 7 week pottery course and thoroughly enjoyed it. Berni is a brilliant and patient teacher and I loved having the dedicated time one evening a week to play with clay and be creative! Would definitely recommend to a friend.

We booked a taster session for our two boys, 12 and 14 for a Christmas present, Berni kindly sent us a gift voucher to give them. They really enjoyed the lesson and had great fun trying to throw pots on the wheel. Berni is very easy going and a good teacher, it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the boys learnt so much. They have both asked when they can go back again, no higher praise! We thoroughly recommend the course for everyone, thank you Berni.

I’ve just completed Berni’s six week pottery course. Six half days. I loved it. Berni is encouraging and helpful. I met some great folk on the course. I surprised myself at what I was able to make with mud after just six half days! I’ll do another course. “

I really enjoy the sessions at Bristol Pottery Workshops - they are relaxed, friendly and supportive. Bernie demonstrates, gives technical advice and encourages artistic exploration.
I feel I am making progress and I am eager to do more!

I've been taking the classes at the studio for almost 2 years now, and I couldn't be happier. Cosmin is an amazing teacher, always willing to help and inspire me to do better.
The studio is great, everyone always friendly and classes are small enough so you can get the support you need.
I started as a complete beginner, I tried the 5 weeks, 6 weeks and the sculpture classes, and I'm proud to see how I've been improving.
Thanks Cosmin for everything so far, I cannot wait to start the next class!

I have been taken classes here for almost half a year now. Cosmin has always been a great teacher. I went from a total beginner, who started from basic cylinder to being able to explore and create shapes I want.
I also love the small classroom setting here, in which every student can get good amount of guidance and attention so they can improve more quickly.
