The tour van had NO legroom - we were jammed in very uncomfortably. This was inexcusable considering that the driving time for the day was upwards of @5 hours. (If the small group tour was supposed to be limited to 15 - which it wasn’t- why jam in all those extra seats? It smacked of trying to squeeze out extra money from customers which was unfair). The tour guide Jed was very nice but we would have liked more substance re Downton Abbey ( he was a newer guide) . The DA quiz was fun. And of course seeing Downton Abbey was the highlight. But this tour could definitely be improved. And the legroom situation has GOT to be fixed.
We try to do a ghost walk at every major city we visit and our guide Simon ranks among the best! He has that great balance and measure of knowledge, theater, humour, and personal perspective that transported us to these times and places while keeping it relevant to the present. Most importantly, he weaves a complete
story that seamlessly links each tale that is so satisfying. We wish him the strength to see past the historical inaccuracies in Braveheart, so he can truly appreciate a classic Hollywood production. :) When we are back in town, another tour will be on our itinerary.
Classic tour was so funny and fun. I would do it all over again thanks a lot!
Highly Recommended! Our family did the Sherlock tour on 05/01/2024 with Fiona and it was fantastic. Our kids range from 10-15 and they all loved it, as did the adults. Lots of great information and history of the character, literature, author, various Sherlock films/tv, and the area around London where we were. Definitely worth checking out.
Scott was an outstanding tour guide during our 5-hour walking tour of Glasgow. His extensive knowledge, friendly demeanor, and enthusiastic attitude made the experience truly memorable. Not only was he very fun to hang out with, but he also accommodated our requests and provided a flexible tour that covered all the highlights Glasgow has to offer. Scott's explanations and background information were excellent, and he expertly pointed out iconic landmarks while helping with photography along the way. Additionally, his recommendations for shopping and restaurants were spot-on. Highly recommend Scott for an unforgettable Glasgow experience!
I was fortunate enough to take the Old Westminster Walk today with the knowledgeable, kind and humorous guide Oliver. A tour not to be missed! You will learn, laugh and love London even more.
My self and my wife did the only fools and horses tour 13 April. Brilliant our tour guide Bill was excellent kept the tour moving but you didn't feel rushed just the right amount of time at each location, Bill was very friendly and knowledgeable the Coach and driver were also 'Pukka ' had to get that in, a thoroughly great day would definitely recommend, we also had a tour of Bristol and the main sites of interest which was a nice touch. I've added a few photos this is just a sample of the locations we visited.
We enjoyed a beautiful private bike tour to Seven Sisters Cliffs with Duncan (Brighton Bike Tours) in March 2024! The scenery is spectacular, the route is mostly flat along the coast, and Duncan is such an accommodating and easy-going guide. Thank you again for a memorable day!
Fantastic Only Fools and Horses filming locations tour, in Bristol. Great content, cleverly and amusingly put together and delivered. Many thanks to guide Andy and driver Mick 👍
Tom gave Our family a great and in depth look at the city of London. 100% recommend him! He is a wealth of knowledge, but keeps the tour flowing and doesn’t bog you down with boring topics! He’s a must book!
Tom was just fantastic on the tour! Great guy really insightful and super knowledgeable… if you’re into your history and want to know about London’s dark past, highly recommend this tour!! Thanks Tom.
We had an absolutely fabulous morning with Jenna who walked us through the highlights of Glasgow with a wealth of details of its history, from the early royals and religious rivalries to the more prominent citizens and their accomplishments We took in so many interesting architectural details from the many buildings including the cathedral, the necropolis and more that we came away a bit overwhelmed but so very pleased to have had the foresight to engage Jenna this morning. We are grateful to her to have shared her knowledge in an engaging manner peppering the history with lively anecdotes. Jenna, thank you for a great morning, our first visit to Glasgow.
Started meeting our tour guide Tom outside of the tube station he was very friendly and easy to spot. We started the tour we had about 11 people in the tour so we were able to move and ask questions with ease. It was about two hours but the time flew by. We learned so much about London and beyond. Was definitely worth it.
What a fascinating tour. Tom took us to places we had never seen, and helped us to see completely new side to places we thought we already knew.
His commentary was really interesting and enlightening - he clearly knows his stuff and his enthusiasm for the darker side of London history was genuinely infectious.
We'll definitely go for another tour soon.
Pete was OUTSTANDING! It ended up just being me and my husband and the tour covered so much! Very engaging and enjoyable! Couldn't recommend Pete or Walks Tours in London enough. Thank you!!!
Tom is a fantastic tour guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and had some great recommendations for further activities. If you’re new to the city I would definitely recommend doing this early so you can get some ideas for more places to visit during your stay.
During the two hours tour we learned history and culture and saw impressive sights which are testaments of Romans building the city about 2K years ago, the Tudor’s executions, the big fire of 1666, and the sad remains after WWII. The tour was informative, interesting, and fun. Tom was a great guide and was flexible to schedule a private tour around New Year.
Great company. Affordable, knowledgeable and fun. I did the Westminster Abbey, Underground and Inns of Court walks. They were great. Big shout out to Brian on the Westminster tour. His humor and occasional disdain for the ancient and not to ancient monarchs was hilarious.
Molly was our tour guide. She braved the snow and rain, was so knowledgeable and gave us a wonder tour of the city! We loved our experience with her and she did an amazing job!!!
Molly was amazing. Very intelligent and shared very interesting stories with our group. She even weathered a snow storm with our group. Couldn’t have had a better day.
We had a great time today on the Christmas Lights tour. As a family of 5 with 3 kids (11,8 and 5) we enjoyed Tom’s interesting and entertaining commentary which made us all laugh. He was great!

Despite the rain (which is obviously outside the tour companies control) we enjoyed the tour and marvelled at the twinkling light displays. We moved downstairs when the rain grew heavier which was just as fun.

We actually turned up 30 mins early to ensure we got seats upstairs. Doing so we were offered seats on the earlier bus tour which was great for us.

The pick up and drop off location was excellently located and easy to find.

The traffic was slow around central at 4.30pm… which to be honest was to be expected, however Tom kept everyone entertained and spread some Christmas cheer.

We would definitely recommend the tour especially with Tom as our guide.

Thank you The Classic Tour for a memorable trip.
Booked for two people for 4:45pm, arrived a few minutes before and saw the bus driving off. So we weren't able to go on the tour. I've since contacted the company but have had no reply after a week, there is no phone number or email address for them so had to message via Instagram which I know they use because they often post. Have asked for a refund but no joy. My order number is ORD381293667
We did the Charles Dickens' Christmas Carol & Seasonal Traditions walk today (Boxing Day). It was wonderful! Richard (III) was our guide and he was great! The talk was so interesting and we discovered some areas of London we didn't know. So many interesting facts about The Christmas Carol as well as well as loads of other bits and pieces. Really enjoyable and will definitely book others!
Thames River tour with Robert.
Lived up to the standard of all LW tours I have done. Excellent.
Very informative and enjoyable. I work in Greenwich and it was educational in respect of what I see every day and didn’t know about . It was also a tourist event I did with my brother. Robert was a fountain of knowledge delivered with humour and enthusiasm. I would highly recommend.

We took part in the "Wizards London Bus Tour of Harry Potter Film Locations".
The tour was really interesting, to discover the locations of the saga of the famous wizard.
Benny was a fantastic guide, very attentive to the needs of all participants and brilliant in overcoming a small initial obstacle that was completely unexpected and not dependent on the organization of the tour.

We visited the locations of the film both on foot and by bus but we were also provided with interesting more general historical and cultural notes on the city of London.

I will definitely consider taking another tour with this agency during my next visit to London
Booked a fully prepaid tour but wasn't able to get to it on time due to a snow storm that closed the Glasgow airport that night. So I spent ten hours watching news at the airport on Islay and paid 185 pounds to Glasgow Private Tours for the privilege (after a presumably routine day trip from Glasgow to see a distillery). Never before have I been denied a full refund when a _local_ weather event prevented customers from reaching the place through no fault of their own, even when dealing with the most upscale establishments with the strictest cancellation policies. To their credit, they did offer to refund half of it, which I refused.

Granted, the cancellation policy is explicitly stated on their website, hence two stars and not one. Either way, I wouldn't recommend booking a tour with them until you're physically standing next to the tour's starting point.

Definitely the lowest point of our ten-day trip to Scotland and the most useless waste of 185 pounds in my life.
Vicky’s tour of the Tower of London was excellent! She had the perfect blend of enthusiasm and great information, as well as a keen sense of humour. Vicky shepherded the group expertly through the rainy morning, taking advantage of indoor spaces when she could. I heartily recommend this tour to visitors.
Leuke bus.
London walks were recommended to me & having now gone on 2 in 2 days, I’m so very happy for the recommendation. Richard III was my guide for both the Charles Dickens & Notting Hill & Portobello Market walks. Both were wonderful. I learned so much from Richard. He walks at an easy pace, with frequent pauses to deliver a fascinating bit of history. Richard is a terrific story teller; just a delightful guide. Many thanks! I’ll be joining again soon.
A night on the "Ghosts of the Old City Walking Tour" with Adam proved to be an enchanting and memorable experience. From the moment the tour began, it was evident that Adam had a captivating presence and a genuine passion for storytelling.
As we gathered in the dimly lit streets near the site of the former Newgate Prison, Adam immediately set the tone with his theatrical flair, creating an atmosphere charged with anticipation and a hint of spookiness. His storytelling was not just informative; it was a performance, complete with dramatic pauses, a lowering of the voice, and *BANG* a stomp of the foot to make the group jump and giggle.
Adam seamlessly wove together historical facts with local folklore, bringing the past to life in a way that held the group's attention throughout the tour. His vivid descriptions and animated delivery made it easy to visualize the scenes he painted, making the ghostly tales feel like a journey through time.
One of the highlights was Adam's ability to prompt the audience to think about what may have been the actual origins of the ghost stories he was sharing. He had some real bangers I wish I’d written down. “That’s the thing about hysteria… at some point you feel stupid if you don’t join in.” He encouraged interaction between stops and kept an eye on the crowd so we did not end up wandering the dark streets of London alone on a Sunday night.
By the end of the evening, it was apparent that Adam had not only provided a fascinating glimpse into the supernatural history of the London’s Old City but had also left a lasting impression on the participants. The tour was not just about ghosts; it was a masterful blend of storytelling, history, and entertainment, making it a positive and memorable experience for all who dared to join the journey into the haunted past. Also at £15, it is easily the cheapest way to spend 2 hours awake in London.
