Loved our visit here and will be back! I didn’t expect the gardens to be at impressive as they were, absolutely amazing especially for free entry. Very relaxing atmosphere and environment and some good food and drink that is reasonably priced onsite too.
Kew Gardens is the most beautiful place to go in London, there's so many beautiful trees, flowers, exhibits, calming walkways and the exposure to nature and wildlife is just the cherry on top. It's an amazing park, perfect for family days out or a calming experience surrounded by breathtaking nature. I recommend looking at their website to check what's in bloom on your visit season. The Palm tree greenhouse is my favourite part, it feels like home if you're from a tropical country, and if not it's an amazing immersive experience, definitely climb the stairs and have a treetop view of the greenhouse! There are no bikes and no pets allowed in the park. If there is a specific exhibition that you'd be interested in (my favourite is the Orchid festival) I definitely recommend buying the tickets in advance!!
Plan for a day. Hands down this garden is world class and exceeded our expectations. Not knowing much about it beforehand and with only a half day in London we opted for a garden stroll.

There are several major pavilions each with their own character and history. We hit the Princess of Wales Conservatory, Palm House, Temperate House and great pagoda. Throughout the gardens is a special exhibit by Marc Quinn. His sculptures compliment the foliage well.

We arrived about 9:30 which was ideal as the line grew for the 10am opening. We bought tickets at the gate although you could buy online for a discount. Also members get in early.
Huge trees, huge plants, small rockery plants. Wide paths with lots of seating. Just to walk among all this greenery and giants passes the time away. It's absolutely amazing.

Been planning a trip for years - finally got around to it and it was well worth the wait. Book tickets on the website - a few pounds cheaper than on the door. Visited early May so a lot of the outside plants were only just starting to bloom but once inside the biodomes it's incredible. Transports you to another place as soon as you go in. If you're not great with heights beware - the stairs to the top of the rainforest dome do sway...quite a lot!! Will hopefully be back!!
One of the best experiences in London. Absolutely stunning. One of those places where everywhere you look is a photo opportunity. And the wildlife! Wow, never expected to see fox cubs. Can’t recommend Kew highly enough.
I do love gardens, any type of gardens and definitely oxford botanic garden do not disappointing. Well looked after , beautiful plant , lovely views. 😍
Beautiful large garden for a long walk. The Ulster museum is in the park and the queen's university is next to the park. No entry fees.
Great location and beautiful as ever. The walk down to the Lynher is particularly attractive. Good coffee at Zinns aswell
This place is absolutely outstanding. We definitely came at the right time of the year and we could have spent so much longer there but had other places to visit too. It's a place you could visit again and again. The weather was great too which helped greatly.
We had an extra hour on a day trip to Oxford and visited this Botanic Garden, apparently the oldest such garden in the UK. The glass houses were crowded, not only with people but also with plants, so it was difficult to get a clear view of individual plants and flowers. Throughout the garden there are useful information on small notice boards, and the outdoor part of the garden was less crowded and plants were better organised. There was a sign to a café in the garden, but it turned out to just be a caravan selling drinks and snacks, so we had our refreshments elsewhere once we got out.

Nice experience. There were several guided tours throughout the day.
Entrance fee of 42 pounds is not cheap, but maintaining the Rainforest also must be expensive.
What a gem tucked away in the centre of Oxford. The greenhouses are beautifully laid out bursting with species of plants and flowers. The external rose garden would be lovely in blossom. The main lawns are laid out in sections- plenty of information boards. It was a glorious day - best to take your own picnic as only a small facility to order drinks and snacks from. Would be lovely if it had its own restaurant for a complete day out! We paid on the day and had little wait when entering but left around 2pm and it was very busy with a queue to enter. We visited as a family of four and my daughter and little brother had a lovely time too! Well worth it for all ages. Lovely staff especially the one in the greenhouse who spoke to us about the dragon fruit tree - my daughter was inquisitive about. The grounds were well kept and flowers/plants in healthy conditions. Incredible experience. Can't wait to see more in the summer months.
A fantastic place to visit. We took advantage of decent weather and travelled to London to visit kew Gardens. Such a beautiful well tendered garden, a fabulous array of plants and trees 🌳 The Spring flowers were out,the trees green. The tree-top walk was amazing, views stunning, even saw small green parrots 🦜The glass houses were fascinating, some huge plants. The Mark Quin sculptures were amazing. Plenty of benches to sit and relax, we had lunch sitting outside. Toilets were clean,as usual queues for the ladies 🚺 You can spend the whole day there and not see everything, we would love to visit again.
It's a wonderful place to walk around and enjoy the tranquil surroundings in busy London. Today was the opening of having art installations scattered around by Mac Quinn, which is interesting. You could easily spend several hours wandering. The gardens are easy to get to by public transport. The staff are friendly and I would recommend anyone going no matter what time of year. If you're thinking of looking around the gardens a few times throughout the year, I would recommend getting an annual pass.
This park is a delight for nature lovers! Lush greenery surrounds the area, and a beautiful lake attracts a variety of wildlife, including fish, ducks, and swans. Thousands of different trees offer shade and a chance to explore the park's diverse flora. There's even an exciting treetop walk that's a big hit with kids – it's quite high, and the bridge sways a little as you walk across! The park also provides plenty of green space for relaxing picnics with family and friends. My only concern is that the ticket prices seem a bit high.
Sehr schöner und kostenloser botanischer Garten mit verschiedenen Gewächshäusern.
Wenn man in der Nähe ist sollte man sich etwas Zeit dafür nehmen und hier verweilen.
Visited twice last week for the beautiful rhododendrons. Massive place and after two visits think there's still scope to explore. Nicely graded paths to get to far end of the site or the steep way down. Colour everywhere at this time of year (end of April). The Old Mill in the valley at the far end of site serves pasties(very tasty) , hot and cold drinks and ice cream and there are toilets. Lots of forms to while away the hours.
An excellent place for a nice walk, the gardens are very beautifully designed, we really enjoyed the variety of all the plants and trees.
A nice garden where you could have a romantic picnic or have a lovely walk with your family.
There are conservatories and restaurants and stores with botanical teams.
We enjoy a morning cup in the Victoria's coffee and an afternoon tea in the botanist. I would totally recommend it.

But wear comfy shoes.
What a wonderful place it is! We were a little bit reserved at first because of the price but it is worth every penny. We visited the gardens in early May and found already a lot of flowers in bloom. Shere beauty! The gardens are worth every penny and the employees do a great job keeping everything clean and fresh. We spent nearly 5 hours there and could have spent even more time there. Definitely recommended.
Absolutely beautiful walking through this Free Botanical garden. Beautifully kept, wonderful people along the way. Must go to if you desire nature and peaceful surroundings.
Beautiful Gardens with Arboretum, and Art Museum with Local Art Exhibits. There is a nearbyCollege to Explore as well. A softer city visit on a light rainy day in Belfast ☔️ !
Wonderful place, tranquil and peaceful. Great to walk the dogs and while away an afternoon. Fantastic coffee and cinnamon swirl at Zinns coffee bar. Real gent and also a advocate of recycling with there new coffee cartons which work wonderfully 👏.
Beautiful and extensive botanical gardens dating from the late 1700s/1800s, with a particular focus on rhododendrons and rare trees. Multiple pavilions, water features, and outbuildings dot the landscape, including a Grade II listed mill. Cafés at the top and bottom of the gardens provide coffees, snacks and ice-creams. Dog Friendly. Was particularly spectacular with spring blossom when I visited.
What a lovely oasis in the centre of Oxford. Beautiful garden, by the river. Will definitely visit again at different time of year. Has coffee van, toilets and small gift shop.
A great day out with plenty to see. The food in the Mediterranean dome cafe was excellent. The visit was made all the more pleasant by a kind Gentleman giving us a lift back to the visitor centre. As I have difficulty walking this was most appreciated.
Amazing botanical garden in London! The area is large and has plenty of great features like huge greenhouses, small lakes and treetop walks. The gardens are all pretty and there's so much space to explore or have a picnic. Entry fee is cheap if you're under 30! But not expensive regardless. Worth visiting on a nice day!
Beautiful city park featuring two large greenhouse. The tropical ravine and the palm house. The age and sheer size of some of the plants and trees is very impressive. There are lots of benches available near by, picnic benches and there is almost always a coffee cart (near the museum entrance) and an ice-cream van. Today we didn't visit the rose gardens, but kids chose to play with a ball we brought with us. A lovely park to spend an afternoon.
As a visiting tourist I had a pleasant walk in a peaceful environment. Lots of birds to watch and listen to and the plants of course. Lovely layout and location boards to help you find your way. A quiet respite to a bustling city and it's free but I felt I had to make a donation as the setting is too precious not to support for locals and visitors alike. Cafes and facilities and plenty of benches. Lovely environment for a picnic too.
There's gardens are really beautiful. We visited in the spring when the committee were vibrant. I particularly love all the streams and brooks with the sound of running water as you walk. You can take a long walk or a shorter route and stop off at the cafe by the mill if you get tired.

We really enjoyed our experience at the Eden project. We like that we can now return for a year.
The children enjoyed the additional planned activities and the playground was fab too!
Will consider a local's pass next year! :)
A delightful visit to a paradise for plant and flower lovers of all ages. I was a touch disappointed when I discovered the glasshouses are currently being renovated. But there is plenty to keep you fascinated.
I particularly enjoyed walking around the Chinese hillside.
Plus you get some fabulous views across Edinburgh city from the peaceful serenity of nature ✨
Simply a must whilst in Edinburgh and 100% free - highly advise making a donation if you enjoy it!

Amazing experience and a really good family day out. Lots of areas to explore and plenty of play parks for the kids. Plenty of food concessions on site or if you prefer to bring a picnic there are plenty of areas to set up at. The biomes are incredible and well worth exploring with lots of information on the areas they are replicating. Well worth a visit and thoroughly recommend it.
An amazing day out! Something you have to definitely experience at least once if you are visiting Cornwall.

We went over Easter, and they had lots of children's activities to keep them entertained and occupied as you made your way around the facility.

The Biodomes are amazing and really capture the environments and cultures of both the rainforest and the Mediterranean.

Unfortunately the food and drink prices are a little bit steep, the entrance is also a tad expensive especially for families.

But it's definitely a good and explorative day out.
A nice walk ,if you can walk. One of our friend's found it difficult . Nice foe dogs. Work is being done around, so maybe improvements may be done. Lots of plant information, good for school groups and knowledge. The road in was very in bad repair.
For me, it was a very beautiful garden.
Garden opens at 7am and closes at sunset.

When I visited, there were some people to walk and jog. I could feel lival energy at there.
I missed botanical garden opens until 10 am.. but it was enough to look around.
Superb National Trust site with a lovely walk through the gardens and a couple of small cafes and a small collection of craft shops and garden centre. Some of the routes can include steep paths. Plenty of benches and places for a picnic. Last visited at Easter where an Easter trail was available for a small cost with Easter egg. A great attraction to visit here in north Wales.
Stunning Gardens, even in March, there was plenty of rhododendrons, tulips, magnolias and blossom to see. The paths aren’t very well signposted so you will need the map. Lovely waterfalls and river also. Some paths were slippy and also quite steep so would recommend walking boots and ensure you check the distance beforehand as we did cover several kilometres.
Such a lovely garden. Lots to see and informative signage l. Lovely be the river as well. Recommend

Good experience but probably not worth doing it in February. There wasn't basically anything to see outside, plenty to see in the baubles tho! We went there with the lottery tickets so the entry was free, but I'm not sure if we'd end up going if we had to spend 35£ per person. That's a lot money.
A big thank you for Beth who did a great talk about baobabs and producing chocolate. She's super knowledgeable and excited about her job and the plants, she answered all of our questions and let us taste the cocoa and baobab powder.

Very calming environment and a lot to see even in autumn. There were a lot of carnivorous plants along with some interesting vibrant plants. There’s a van just within that sells snacks and hot/cold drinks and a small outside seating area. There was also a gallery with plant-based art. They had a student discount too upon entry.
Very helpful man on the desk at the entrance. The rockery was beautiful. It's a shame we didn't get to see the glasshouses as they are having work done but it gives me another reason to visit in the future.
My wife and I made our first visit here as we were in the area. No waiting to get in and a good overview of the walks and what we would see from one of the volunteers. The gardens and paths are well maintained by the army of volunteers we saw hard at work. Magnolia trees were beautiful in blossom along with some of the rhododendrons. We had a very pleasant walk (blue) around the estate taking in the water and the waterfall. Hot refreshments and a biscuit at the old mill before seeing the pin mill, unfortunately no reflection picture due to the rain. House looks great.
A lovely green space in the heart of the city centre. Bit pricier than other botanical gardens we’ve been to, in the UK and abroad. Greenhouses were nice to have a good look around and we walked around the beds outside and enjoyed the snowdrops etc. We appreciated the map!
Beautifully designed gardens with lots of different features and areas that offer something different to each other. I visited in February and considering it had rained the last few days and it was very cold, the gardens were all very well maintained and in order. I particularly enjoyed the rock gardens. I would highly recommend.

A really good day out for the family with lots to see. Our 9 year old daughter loved it and really got to show her photography skills off. We spent several hours here, but didn’t eat here this time although we have in the past. The food is good and gives you a real feel of being homemade. Drinks are all local so don’t expect to get yourself a coke or any other general drink you can get elsewhere. The price is good also, considering you pay once and can go all year round especially when they have regular events on. Well worth the money
Netter Garten, angenehmes Tea House.
Sehr schöner und kostenloser Garten mit verschiedenen Gewächshäusern. Man kann hier gut verweilen. Für Kinder gibt es eine Spielplatz. Ein Tearoom ist auch vorhanden sowie öffentliche Toiletten.
Just came back from doing a Fungal foray, I mostly had my head in the bog zone but there were so many interesting plants and fungi. It's really pretty there
Visited for Draig beats festival. Lovely place, it has nice planting and natural areas. Not as manicured as Bodnant Gardens but beautiful none the less.
