We've just got back from a family long weekend here. The lodge was brilliant and the setting was lovely. The lodge was a good size and the rooms were lovely but the on-site shop was truly awful. A tiny shop, half of which was full of toys and barely any basics such as milk and bread. They ran out of milk on the Saturday and we were told they wouldn't get any more until Tuesday which meant we had to go to the local supermarket which was a drive away. The play park was a poor excuse for a park. No swings or anything other than a small slide. So my 2-year-old was entertained for about 5 minutes but there was nothing to keep my 5-year old entertained. There was also nothing else child friendly on site apart from the little rangers and nature tots activities, which were good but only ran for an hour on one of the days. There's also nothing really close by to do either. So all in all a bit disappointing.

Loved it! Cracking place for relaxing or active break. Plenty to do, entertaining wildlife. Lodge facilities were great, clean & welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

Great holiday with friends. Loved the hot tub and the tree house. Seating in the lounge could be better and we would have liked more lighting! Lovely walks from the lodge. Great bird life plus squirrels and deer. 😃

Gold serviced pitch was nice, although the waste water drain was blocked. Shower block was clean on arrival, but I don’t think it was cleaned or checked throughout our 3 night stay as there was no paper after 1 night which wasn’t replenished, and the entire soap dispenser vanished (think it must have been stolen) and that was never replenished either. Looked like a member of staff was sleeping in his car behind the reception hut.
I spoke to 1 member of staff on the phone as reception was closed on arrival, and spoke to another once pitched up and they were friendly enough.
I think having to pay £1 for a 5 min shower is a bit steep considering the price of the site (Camping Club Sites are also around £30p/n) and offer better facilities.
I think a little more attention to detail and the site could be really nice, but I left disappointed.

We have just had a 5 day break with our dog. The cabins were absolutely beautiful and the setting was stunning. The hot tubs are massive. It was really well cleaned and they had thought of everything. We can't wait for our next visit.

Fijn hotel met vriendelijke medewerkers die je echt van dienst willen zijn, goed eten (wel redelijk aan de prijs) en een mooie en schone kamer. Zeker de moeite waard om een keer te bezoeken.

Mooi locaal hotel in hartje Lyndhurst met authentieke uitstraling.

Stijlvolle gebouw en inrichting, echt klasse. alles klopt, ook het eten. Het is gelegen in Lyndhurst, een levendig klein dorpje.
