Excellent food - the scallops with boabab roots and the crocodile goujons were delicious, as was the ostrich grill and cauliflower steak. The chocolate tart was amazing. The cheese room was a real surprise and treat. Great wine choices.

Such a great find. I was attending a show and booked a table because it is near the Bridge Theatre and I love all things South Africa. Even my Londoner friends were impressed. The staff was amazing-helpful, friendly and efficient. Our server described the food and wine perfectly. And the food is delicious. Go out of your way if you must because this is a gem you don’t want to miss

Great food, really good wine selection, service was excellent. We especially enjoyed checking out the cheese room, thank you to Graham! An all round fantastic meal and evening. 100% will return.

We had a fantastic time. Anna made our stay super special and got us everything we asked for. Just make sure you order the Boerewors in advance. Next time I will call ahead :D

I came here yesterday with a group. I ordered a pint of coke. It came with so much ice it tasted very watery. It cost over £4 so wasn’t very happy. The atmosphere was good so I do think it’s a good place to bring a group of friends for a drink.

Fine dining and exquisite menu options. The food was incredible and not a single dish let us down. It's clear that the restaurant takes good care with each dish. The ingredients are fresh and all the flavours are tied together well. As a South African, the food was surprisingly close to the real thing and I really enjoyed the gourmet spin on the traditional dishes. Staff are evidently well trained and were very attentive. The restaurant had a fair number of patrons but was not too busy, leaving a quiet but pleasant atmosphere. Just something to note, I believe that the restaurant is closed on weekends.

Good food, but service was extremely elusive. It took an age to even get a drinks order taken, despite our best efforts to politely attract attention. The same for getting the bill. Granted that staff were very pleasant, they must have been simply overwhelmed. These delays made me feel that Vivat Bacchus may not be very suitable for a business lunch.

Dès l'entrée on perçoit une réelle passion pour le vin. La carte est impressionnante, le choix est bon dans de nombreuses régions françaises, en Europe et même dans le monde. La conservation et la température sont parfaitement adaptées. Côté cuisine on note une grande précisions sur les cuissons, les viandes sont de première qualité...et que dire de cette exceptionnelle sauce au poivre vert... j'en redemande !! Voilà une adresse à conserver pour tous et pour chacun !! C'est simple et parfaitement exécuté.

The cheese was amazing, the wine was great and the ostrich was delicious. The staff were very attentive and I had a great time, but the food was quite expensive and the wine even more so.

If I could give 5 5 5 I would but I guess Club Carnivore is a ticketed event so I'm slightly bias. If you want a proper S.African event with quality food and quality wine this is the place. I can only hope they give us a discount next time! Lovely guests, amazing food and just everything 100%, if this was available to the average person it would the place to be! It's a tad expensive but worth every penny. Please let us know that Francios will be our host at the next one! We're coming back with the family.

If you like steak, wine and cheese, this is the place to go. The menu is TASTY, and the staff very attentive and knowledgeable. Love this place!!

My husband and I went yesterday evening for dinner. We were just walking around and found this lovely restaurant. The location is very nice, clean and warm. Staff members are amazing, polite and helpful. The service is amazing, very quick and food is just delicious. We're Italian and we were pleasantly surprised to finally find authentic Italian cuisine!! I would really recommend this place to whom wish to try the REAL Italian food!!

Lovely Italian atmosphere, authentic, great wines. Friendly service and great food choices. Don’t be surprised if any of the servers will start singing in Italian and I love it! Amarone is the wine to enjoy. Thank you. We will be back!

It was the last time we dine in this restaurant.
The bologna spaghetti was okay, but the king prawns risotto was the most disgusting in my life!!
I’ve never tasted the shrimp taste like that; it was not fresh and had an Armonia smell!!!!
We told the waiters about the shrimp problem, but they insisted shrimp were fresh.
We were speechless because it was impossible for the fresh shrimp had a stale smell.
In addition, the food presentation they served for customers was different from their official photos. The shrimp was smaller than their official pictures.
And the service was not friendly and arrogant.
It was the worse dining experience in Bath.
