This was a stop I wanted to make. The castle was crowed and busy. I stopped because it was included on my explorer pass, but still had to pay for parking. There were better castles I toured during my Scotland visit that were more interesting and not as crowded.
Great day out. Can highly recommend the tulip festival. If you haven’t been before. Make sure you go next year. It’s an amazing display of tulips and of course you can order them for next year for your own garden.
Good value for money, but beware it is VERY steep walking up to it and unlikely you'll get on the car park so you'll have to drive all the way back down to the bottom of the hill and walk up. It's like scaling the side of Everest! Not accessible at all for anyone with mobility issues.

One of our favorite castles to have visited. You could almost feel yourself walking inside as you walk from courtyard to courtyard. The exhibits had a very good traffic flow. The guided tour was organized, clear and on topic. All of the buildings were clean and accessible. Truly world the stop.
Absolutely stunning castle and grounds. We had a great day here for the princess event. Children loved them and enjoyed exploring the castle. Also great to see where I’m a celebrity was filmed. A great day for all!
Tulips 🌷 festival May 4,5,6 seasons. Nice for kids with lots of rides and attractions. But I feel few more flowers would be great. Felt it's less tulips
Phenomenal views and a breathtaking look into the marvelous and bloodied history of Scotlands hard-won independence and sovereignty. A very hands off castle experience with loads of things and areas and displays to see. And the castle is littered with Guides who genuinely love the history they speak and bring it to life in doing so. Well worth the trip out, no matter where from!
Unique place to visit.. I loved every inch of this place the guide was so good and explaining the history on everything.. I honestly loved it. 3 hours we where in here also had food which is a very good variety plenty to choose , picnic area for those wanting to take their own lunch. The stairs are steep so if you have a bit of a disability with balance I'd definitely have someone to accompany you only on tje stairs bit... beautiful gardens plenty to see... 💙💙💙
Lovely afternoon with a tour of the castle, George the butler and William our guide very informative on all the history on Glenarm castle and the families that have lived there. Gardens are lovely and a good cup of coffee in the cafe. 😊
Stirling castle is of great historical importance and well worth a visit. There is parking at the castle but can get busy. They usually have entertainment on for families to enjoy and there is a lot of focus on kids entertainment.
There are places to eat and there is wheelchair access to all ground level aspects of the castle along with certain areas with lifts.
Highly recommend a visit to the castle as there is something for everyone to either learn or enjoy.

We visited the castle for Unicorn Day and it did not disappoint! We started with a guided tour, which was about an hour. Our guide, Tricia, did an amazing job of leading us through the castle’s history and making the past feel more real. We spent some time after the tour looking through some of the other spaces. The setup in the historic kitchen is very nice.
As for the unicorns, they were adorable! I couldn’t ride on, for good reason, but we could get fairly close. All of the kids there were so excited. It was fun watching their faces light up. Wished we could’ve stayed longer.

Beautiful castle surrounded by nature. A hidden gem, completely unknown by tourists. Perfect for picnics, but please take your rubbish home.
Worth the walk.
Interesting historic castle,crucially for the time period 1300 to 1600. Free 70 min tour is included in the ticket price and highly recommended.

Wunderbare Burg, auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Hunde willkommen! Auch ein toller Garten den man besichtigen kann.

Unfassbar grosse Burgruine in super klasse Zustand 2x Eintritt und 1 x Handycappeople mit Ausweis für 21 € ist absolut fair - hab noch nie solch eine grosse Burganlage gesehen - echt überwältigend - tolles Personal im Ticket Verkauf und super freundliches Personal auf der Burg - sehr hilfsbereit- haben sogar auf unsere Hunde aufgepasst während wir im Burgzimmer waren- ansonsten dürfen Hunde überall mit hin - danke dafür
Si vas a Belfast, es un imperdible, el castillo es hermoso, pero además tienes unas vistas extraordinarias, puedes tomar un bus en city center te deja a unos minutos de allí
Eine schöne alte Schloßruine mit netter Geschichte, aber der Eintrittspreis ist sehr hoch.
Sieht toll und sehr imposant aus. Jedenfalls aus der Ferne.
Hier gibt es viele engagierte Menschen und Organisationen, die die Burg über die Jahre wieder herrichten wollen!
Im Moment stehen allerdings fast nur die Mauern und der Garten.
Und da das Ganze noch nicht mal 200 Jahre alt ist, gibt es tatsächlich außer den Mauern kaum etwas zu sehen. Ich denke, in 10 Jahren wird es dort grossartig sein. Dann sollen evtl auch die verfallenen Räume wieder hergerichtet sein.
Am spannendsten fand ich die kleine Ausstellung über die zeitweiligen Bewohner der Burg, über junge Juden, die dort für einige Zeit eine Heimat fanden, einen Boxer, der dort trainiert hat( sorry, hab den Namen vergessen) .
Für das leibliche Wohl gibt es einen mobilen Eiswagen und einen mobilen Imbiss, der alles frisch zubereitet! Das dauert zwar einen Moment, aber die Baps und Burger sind total lecker!
Leider gibt es nur diese aufstellbaren Baustellentoiletten, die aber erstaunlich sauber sind und sogar einen klappbaren Wickeltisch enthalten.

Bei traumhaftem Wetter absolut empfehlenswert. Und gegenüber gibt es ein Cafe mit leckeren Schönes und perfektem Mocha (Mokka).

Interessante Burg, mit schönem Garten und toller Aussicht auf die Umgebung.
Eine schöne kleine Burg. Leider viele Baustellen zur Zeit. Auf dem Turm hat man einen guten Überblick. Familienticket nehmen 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder ist in Irland auf der Insel am günstigsten. Bei dieser Burg reichen 0,45-1,5 h für die Besichtigung.
Stayed in the lower apartment its a bit dated, basic and overall tired however it's also very good value for money with a very comfy bed everything you could need and wonderful views in an absolutely fantastic location and building. the host is welcoming and helpful and I had a relaxing and wonderful stay here. If you want 5 star luxury its not for you. But my family had a great stay here and they even supplied the travel cot. Got a great swing and trampoline outside for the kids too. Brilliant I had a great stay many thanks.

Wir haben uns letztlich vom Bild täuschen lassen. Nur bei Niedrigwasser erscheint die Burg wirklich beeindruckend, ansonsten ist sie eine von vielen, zumal sich direkt nebenan der Hafen und die Innenstadt befinden.
Gemäß Abbildung kostet der Eintritt für Erwachsene 5,5 Pfund, je nach Ermäßigung entsprechend weniger. Geöffnet ist die Burg von 09:30 bis 17:00 Uhr.

Im Rahmen einer Tour haben wir an dieser Burg Halt für ein paar Fotos gemacht. Gerade mit dem Meer im Hintergrund sieht es wirklich sehr schön aus.
Nett jedoch würde ich nicht nochmal wieder kommen. Ein Großteil der Burg war gesperrt was uns auch gleich gesagt wurde. Wir wollten trotzdem rein gehen und ja....es war okay aber nicht außergewöhnlich
War leider schon geschlossen um 18 Uhr, aber auch von außer durchaus nett anzusehen
Eine kleine niedliche Burgruine, leicht zu erreichen vom Strandparkplatz und Kinderwagen freundlich. Was sich hier wohl früher für Geschichten zugetragen haben? Verschiedene Plakate erklären dem Besucher den Hintergrund. Ideal zum Abschalten nach einem hektischen Aufenthalt in Beaumaris.
