Blenheim Palace offers a captivating blend of history, culture, and entertainment. The exhibition of English fashion provides a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of style, while the thrilling jousting events transport visitors back in time. However, be prepared for the high cost of food on-site; to save money and enjoy the beautiful grounds, consider bringing a picnic. Overall, Blenheim Palace promises a memorable experience for history enthusiasts and families alike, with plenty to explore and enjoy.
One of the best experiences of this type. Have done Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle (extremely good), Versailles (also wonderful), etc. The feeling of history here is conveyed in such a fantastic way. You can really imagine Henry VIII and his wives and court walking through the castle.
A very sweet, cute, quiet walk in the park. We wanted to walk but be in a place where locals would go for a walk. It was beautiful

Magnificent place! Especially for history and/or nature lovers. I was there all day long and I don't have enough. I'm planning my next visit already. Stunning palace with a history and stunning surroundings. Sometimes they organise different events: during my visit there was a jousting and birds of prey show. For kids there is a playground with a lot of attractions. There are many places to eat on the go or sit down comfortably and enjoy the scenery. Plenty of choice. I had my own lunch but I decided to have something there instead. Highly recommended.
I can't say that I was disappointed but probably we expected something more from this visit. It was quite expensive for 2-3 hours walking. Of course, it's a beautiful part of history and must be seen if you fancy about the royal family. 20 minutes waiting time to see a doll house 🏠. The chapel was great as well (is close for visitors on Sunday).
Overall - good but bit overpriced.
Beautiful palace and must visit. Tickets are expensive, but worth visiting Henry’s kitchen, gardens, horse ride.

I loved the gardens, also popular for tulip season, you can find different tulips blooming now. It’s huge palace, so please plan and go early. I was not much interested in palace rooms, so we spent most of the time in Kitchen, it’s different and unique setup which I have not seen in any other palace.

Audio guides are free with tickets and are very informative. Second must visit section would be the maze garden, tickets are included in the price, it’s one of the oldest and only maze gardens available in London. It’s fun to find your way, it’s small but challenging maze and is perfect to end your day at the palace.

The food at the cafe is the best I ever had, it’s fresh, clean and good quantity. The pastry and quiche and even the coffee were delicious!!!!

Also don’t forget to notice the famous Faraday house on the way to Hampton Palace.
Absolutely fabulous day out. Worth every penny. Loved the scale of it. Loved the actors. Loved the projected displays in some of the rooms. Wish we had gone early enough to make church. Definitely going back
went on a Sunday and the weather did not disappoint! the staff were lovely, and the tour guides ensured the experience was of a high calibre. some of our group decided to opt for the headsets, who said they were fabulous- with guidance on where to go, and full of history. the grounds are beautifully maintained, and easy to navigate
Such a wonderful castle, filled with art, flowers, a stunning garden and all sorts of wonderful tenants including the Royal School of Needlework. It’s an easy ride from London so don’t hesitate to visit next time you’re around!
Love it
The Castle includes the State Apartments that are used today by the Royal Family, the historical rooms that were built for Charles II and private apartments created for George IV. There are many famous, must-see moments within these spectacular rooms, like the colossal Waterloo Chamber, magnificent Crimson Drawing Room and impressive Grand Staircase. With so much royal history and splendour it is possible to walk straight past some amazing treasures, so here are a few to look out for.
Enjoyable place to visit looking around a royal residence, the history of Queen Victoria from a young girl to her later life. The rooms, the furniture, and some classic paintings on the walls. Quite a few staircases to climb, but there are small lifts in most areas. Cafe with outside seating, serving light meals, tea, and coffee. A gift shop is also available and most things at a reasonable price.
Beautiful place, there was a long queue outside, but it was worth it. You can walk freely inside, place is not big. Just make sure that you come at the time that is specified in your ticket, as queues are grouped based on entry time.
Went to the scouts parade at Windsor, Great weather! Great entertainment. A lovely area to visit.

Saw the castle and the grounds which were magnificent and historic. Definitely worth a visit when you have a chance
Bel endroit pittoresque. De belles pièces d'époque à découvrir.
An amazing place, all the ingredients for a great day put. Stables are great for the kids, all the cafes are fantastic and the grounds are truly exceptional. Only thing is it will leave you broke - the tickets are PRICEY as well as the food. So save up if you’re going!

There is so much to take in at the castle and within the grounds. We had a whistle stop tour as part of a school group visit but I will definitely go back to take it in more slowly. St George's Chapel and the State Rooms are absolutely breathtaking in their opulence, splendour and sheer detail. You could be here for hours and still need to go back. I'm hoping to go back and spend at least 2 days going around it all. The surrounding area is so beautiful too and worth a walk around, as are the local shops and eateries. It's like stepping back in time and I loved it :)
An amazing stroll through history. An ancient English castle in pristine condition is a perfect day trip for families and history buffs alike. An incredible experience with the English monarch and we were lucky enough to see the changing of the guard. It can get rather crowded and cold so plan your trip accordingly and definitely buy your tickets in advanced. God bless the Queen.
This place is much smaller than the Buckingham palace however, it is no less in beauty. The palace is surrounded by a garden and has a huge lake in front of it. If you want to enter the palace and take a tour then you will have to purchase tickets. However, if you just want to visit the garden and have a nice day there, it's completely free. You can enjoy the view of the lake, have a stroll in the garden, walk your dog, feed the swans, ducks and other birds, or even have a nice picnic here.
Tulips festival: open day for Garden. Pay to go to the palace. Royal Chapel is beautiful. Henry VIII's Kitchens is interesting which was comprised of 40 rooms and staffed with 200 servants to service the palace. If you don’t like to use the provided audio set you can use the QR codes at the entrance of historic buildings to learn the stories and history. Highly recommend you to use the audio guide as there aren’t a lot of explanation on the rooms or items.
I do love Castles, this one is really beautiful.
Unfortunately it is not allowed to take photos inside.
The queue could be long and it is better to buy tickets in advance. So that is why 4 starts only.

We enjoyed it with my family.
Highly recommend.
I visited Kensington Palace on a weekday and lucked out with sunny weather in January. The palace is definitely worth a visit, offering a fascinating glimpse into history and royal life. After exploring the palace, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll in the nearby park, making it a perfect day out. Whether you're interested in history or simply seeking a peaceful escape, Kensington Palace and its surroundings won't disappoint.
I had never heard of this place until recently. Very intuitive place to visit providing an insight and information about how lives would have been saved having access to these shelters. You can find out about sites the enemy had targeted.
The shelters do give you a sense of what people had to go through.
You can spend an hour here. Staff are very friendly, jovial and have a great sense of humour; especially Roger!
Excellent place for a day out. As it is in the centre of town, you can park in any of the paid parking lots in and around the area.
Great place for everyone to learn more about the price that has been paid in the past for today’s freedom!
Nestled amidst breathtaking gardens and a tranquil pond, this palace is an absolute gem for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The architecture is simply stunning, providing the perfect backdrop for capturing memorable moments. The meticulously maintained gardens offer a delightful escape for leisurely strolls, with picturesque views at every turn. And with numerous benches scattered throughout, there’s no shortage of cozy spots to pause and take in the beauty of the surroundings. My visit was nothing short of magical, and I highly recommend this enchanting palace for anyone seeking a serene and unforgettable experience.
Vraiment coool!
Came today very friendly staff, your given an audio guide which are good but are very low sound. Very interesting and daunting how it must have been in ww2. £5.50 for adults free for children 👍
Looks beautiful, really good landscape and gardens!

Really enjoyable for children, there is a park for children (you can only enter if you have a child with you) the park has lots of attractions for children.

There is a cafe and toilets.

The Kensington palace you can walk around it for free, however if you want to visit the place where princess Diana lived you do need to purchase ticket before hand, below in my pictures you will
Be able to see the price. The last entry ticket is 4:30pm. The Kensington place garden is beautiful beyond imagination.

It is a lovely park if you just wanted to walk through or come with family (picnic)

Would definitely keep coming!
The park is really well maintained.
The Roman Wall around London, or Londinium as the Romans called it..
This was built around A.D. 200.
The Tower of London was built around 1070 - 1080.
Shown in one of the photographs is the Roman Wall A.D. 200, The Tower of London 1070 and a London bus, 2024.
That is 1,824 Years of History in one Photograph.
Just sit back and take that in, 1,824 years that this area London, has been fortified for.
How old is your Country ?..
If / When you visit London, Visit Tower Hill..
You can touch the Roman Wall, Visit and touch the Tower of London 1070, and just behind the Tower, you can see Modern London Looming up into the sky.
History of this magnitude is never usually able to be seen and touched For Free !!!....
Overall a great place, especially if you are a fan of Henry VIII story. I was lucky to witness the last days of tulip festival which decorates the place so gracefully. Spring is probably the best time to visit. The playground is an absolute gem. Minus one star due to lack of cafes and restaurants on the premises. There is one cafe situated in one of the gardens where I got at 3pm and the part where they serve food was already closed, while the premises shut at 5.30pm, so everyone in a huge queue was left with coffee and pastries only.
A fantastic castle and definitely worth a visit.
Here some details/recommendations:
1. Book online in advance - there is a long queue for tickets.
2. Try to book first entrance at 09:30, there is the least visitor amount there. We arrived at 09:15 and needed only 15 min to enter.
3. There is a public parking area 5min walk distance.
4. When enter, get a stamp on the online ticket - you can re-enter for free then within 1 year time.
5. It’s only a part of castle open for visitors. You will need max 1.5-2hrs inside.
6. Save some time for the town of Windsor, it’s a small nice city center.
Obviously this palace isn't as nice as the much more famous Buckingham palace but I still really enjoyed my visit here. The gardens in front of the palace make it a very tranquil experience and the perfect getaway from the busy city. Highly recommended if you're in Kensington.
Great place for a walk with nice views of Edinburgh
A nice & big palace with a lot of big gardens, and a nice children playground (it's called The Magic Garden).

There's a maze garden too...

Luckily there's a gold bunny hunting with a prize.
Kids surely enjoy the hunting...

The guards and officers are all friendly with great costumes.

All places are tidy, clean, and well-managed.

Typisk turistattraktion. Se det och kronjuvelerna. Gå till Tower Bridge istället.
Incredible day at Blenheim Palace. The walk around the lake was beautiful. Staff were welcoming and the lads on the parking duty were doing a fantastic job trying to get the public to park responsibly and promptly. The train ride was great and even a nice walk back from the walled garden. The Adventure Playground was a huge hit with the children, they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Exceptional pizza too! Lovely little gift shop, reasonably priced. Definitely worth the annual pass. Only downside was people touching-grabbing the butterflies this maybe needs to be monitored a bit more as lots were injured or dead which isn't nice to see.
Definitely worth a visit, very informative tour and cheap entry, really enjoyable 👍🏽
Amazing Easter experience. The kids had the best day, jam-packed with fun. The kids playground was worth the extra cost. I would recommend bringing a change of clothes/costume for kids who may want to splash in the mini river.
The place hasn't been taken care very well. For one who loves trail may be love this place. The path to the tower is not very clear. You need a Google map to go to this place.
We had been debating where to take our kids for a free day from London and this was a great choice. It was during Holy Week and they had a golden bunny hunt set up with a dozen bunnies scattered around the gardens of the palace (with names of famous people associated with the castle like Christopher Wren and Charles Dickens). But even without the bunnies the Magical Playground and maze were huge favorites for the day. The gardens were amazing and the inside of the palace was worth the wander. We got there just before 1100 on a Sunday and listened to the sung service which was quite beautiful as well. It is included in the Historical Palaces membership which also made it free (pairs well with The Tower of London on another day).
Good place for a day trip. I especially recommend the parks. The palace itself is good but the parks are simply amazing. You can spend an entire day in the parks. Pack yourself a picnic basket and you're all set for the day! Not a lot of options in terms of food. The cafes don't have much to offer. So I think it's a good idea to bring your own food.

At present, an exhibition is on- 'Icons of British fashion'. They have put up mannequins in every room of the palace, and I don't think the combination works well. It did not appeal to me personally because I had gone to see the palace and I couldn't even see the tapestry properly because of this. I am hoping to go back after 30 June when the exhibition ends, and hopefully I will have a better experience then.

An annual pass is a great idea. Also, they offer a discount if you travel by public transport.
Great place for some real history. Went on a free stockport open day. Loved the walk round and reading the stories. Down side the audio tour no longer works
I used National Art Pass to get free entry, so I couldn't book a ticket in advance. However, the queue was not very long, and I got in after about 5 minutes. Make sure to pick up an audio guide. A map is not really necessary because there were specific paths to follow. The staff at Kensington Palace were very friendly and helpful. I attended one of the talks at the King's State Apartments, and it was very interesting. I also enjoyed walking around the garden after visiting the Palace. Overall, it was an enjoyable afternoon.
We went today with our 7y/o. Really interesting. Available Parking close by at the shopping centre..

We love walking round at our own leisure. Only downside was the audio guides are very hard to hear even with the volume full.

Definitely worth a visit.
£5.50 per adult and kids under 16 get in free per paying adult.
We visited on a sunday afternoon and there was no wait, adults are £5.50 and under 16s are free which is great value! The man at the desk was very friendly and explained it all, you are given an audio guide to use at various points throughout the trunnels. When you enter the tunnels there is a brief audio and light show to set the scene then you can wonder through the tunnels at your own pace, looking through all the different rooms and tunnels. Theres lots of interesting information boards dotted around. My kids and i really enjoyed it, as WW2 is an interest of ours.
(Its pram accessible of you can carry the pram down the few initial steps at the beginning)

A great day out. A memorable place blending history and nature. There are activities for all ages. I particularly enjoyed the spectacular landscaping and walking by the formal gardens and its centenary trees. And there is a proper maze. It is an investment but it does create happy memories!
What a brilliant place to visit; interesting, atmospheric and actually very cheap for a morning/afternoon's activity with kids (free for under 16s)! You get to experience the surroundings of an underground air raid shelter little changed since it was left empty in the 1940s. It's pretty big (housed up to 4000 people) and we spent just over an hour there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a cheap car park nearby, across the A6 from the Merseyway shopping area/ town centre. Also walkable from the bus station or train station.

A royal palace is located on the banks of Tamiz River, which is known as one of the most haunted places in London. The reason is rooted in the past of this historical castle. In about 800 years, the Tower of London was used as a prison by the Salt family

It’s wonderful to see living history tucked away in London. Bear in mind the original Roman wall is at the bottom corner there, not the rest of it. That was added later. Still, it’s nice to take in the history before grabbing a train from the nearest Underground station.
Lovely big reserve, perfect for picnics and dog walks (one big loop). Loads of beautiful deer and wildlife as well, has good views on a clear day and has rocks to climb up amongst the forest
Beutyfull 😍
