Great fresh bread/cake selection, jam donuts are the best
I am always pleasantly surprised the price of products I use, much lower than in main supermarkets.

I recently had an unfortunate experience at the Lidl store. Three days ago, I mistakenly purchased the wrong type of coffee. Without opening the product, I attempted to return it with the receipt for a refund or exchange, but I was shocked to be refused. The reason provided was that the details on my receipt didn't match my phone payment, which seems unjustified for an unopened item. Additionally, the manager attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. This policy and treatment are unacceptable. As a result, I am reconsidering my patronage of Lidl. Management should reevaluate their return policy to better accommodate customers in similar situations.
My friend went to this Lidl with her baby to do shopping she got to the till and the cashier accused her of stealing 30p bags that she had brought from her house. My friend told them to check the cctv camera but they refused. Her and the cashier swore at each other. I don’t blame her she was being called a thief in front of everyone in Lidl. The manager was called and he was not willing to listen to her and was very hostile towards her. I was on FaceTime the whole time in fact I reminded her to carry bags before she left her house. The manager and staff are all disrespectful. They need disciplinary if not they need to be fired. They refused to serve my friend and so she didn’t get to leave with the shopping. Will a thief tell you to check cctv camera to prove their innocence? She received no apology and then you made her leave the store over bags that she previously purchased and brought from home. Shame on you all.

FIRST EVER time in Lidle, love the shop but the staff at Gillingham need re-training , visited today and the shelf stackers, lovely, but the american girl on the till was miserable with attitude, security guard was texting, not working, when I tried to take the basket back from where I got it I was told off by the girl on the till and then approached by the guard who had I assume finished texting.
I spend about £100 a week in sainsburys which is where I'm going back to.its the principle !

James (manager) was the absolute GREATEST when he helped me find something in the middle of Lidl.
Managment was top tier for me amazing service especially james!!!

Budget supermarket. Ok for picking up a few bits but not the greatest selection for a big shop. They really need more gluten free options! The own brand chocolates are good!
I drive long way from Henley to the store in Kiln lane and often I need help to locate a product or find one which is not in the shelf , always I find this lady called Laura at hand giving me the help and assistance I need. She even call the other big store near by to ask if they have an item I need . In this occasion it was a clingfilm dispenser.
More over she told me we getting deliver always and you can call and ask if we have an item or not before you drive the long way .
I must recommend this lady for star for her exemplary customer service .
And by the way she must have a great store manager to be an excellent example to his team .

Great range of products, clean and tidy
Wide range of essentials for home, spoilt for choice, feminine needs to DIY and non prescriptive medications- spectacles also, confectionery to gardening an Aladdin's cave of home requisites
It feels very alien in comparison to other supermarkets, and it doesn’t even seem that much lower in price to other places to put yourself through this sort of experience — it’s always remarkable how you’re expected to throw all of your shopping into your bag as if your life depends on it 😂
Has all your usual home bargains stuff,just more selection.

Easy access to store, no steps or ramps. Generally allways quite clean and tidy. Every time I've been in the store it has always been fully stocked. You do get ques at times due to size of store but nothing extreme. Massive bonus there is a tram stop less than a minute away which can take you to east and west Croydon which cover most bus routes if your using public transport.
It's not just about the value of the food you can buy, but the experience of the middle isle. Their middle isle's offer excellent value, with often branded names .

Fantastic Lidl. Clean, great size, offers are always in store unlike smaller shops that only have a selection of them. Plenty of checkouts and even toilets.
The size if this palce limits the various products you can find in larger branches, never the less, it has everything you may need in terms of grocery shopping and sometimes more surprise products pop up in Lidle style! Staff are helpful, the branch is organised, products are always topped up on the shelves. I wish they make lines on their car park for cars to be a little more organised in their entry/exit, lack of lines makes people go in random directions in the car park.
Started shopping here because of the rise in food costs. At first we could get everything & more and still save money. Now I am finding that I can only get a fraction of what I need, and I am then having to go to what was my regular supermarket afterwards. The vegetarian options are non-existent now, but 6 weeks ago, there was plenty of choice for my mum.
Wouldn't sell sparkling water in packs anymore. They claim you can only buy single bottles now.. l guess they're getting more profit from singles than packs. Capitalism, hey!!!
I really like this Lidl. It's in a great location, it's usually very well stocked, the prices are far superior to any other supermarket within walking distance of the University campus. The parking is quite easy to navigate and I have never gone and not been able to find a space. It can get busy at peak hours but if you find the right time you'll have a pretty seamless shopping experience here.
No idea why we actually go in here, never any of the offers available (even on the actual day).... never enough tills open, and rarely any more are opened, on the rare occasion that another till looked like opening, the staff member told a customer that he will be open in about 10 mins.... about 90 seconds later he opened up.

Had a great time at Lidl! Super chill vibe, and the staff is cool and helpful. Love the variety of stuff they've got, and prices are wallet-friendly. Lidl's my jam for groceries – keep rocking!
Had an issue with a buy one get one free offer at the till. The issue was that the offer went through the till and reduced the price and then reverted to full price. The young man at the till was as confused as I was. Alexander ran the items through several times with the same result. I request assistance from a supervisor/manager. Kasper, the Deputy Store Manager, attended. Whilst I was trying to explain the issue to him, he was hostile abrasive and belligerent in his response. I can not believe I was treated in this way by a manager. When I advised him, his customer service was poor. He shrugged his shoulders and walked off in a very uncaring way. At this point, I advised that I would make a written complaint. He rudly responded, "You can do what you want." After he left, two other cashiers commented about his rudeness to customers and staff. I would like to thank Alexander for his courtesy and patience. After many attempts, the offer finally went through the till. The store itself was well stocked and clean. It's a shame management let the store down.
I loved this place, the organization was top notch and the deals were pretty great. The check-out was a little 'meh'--the woman just stared at me up-down for a good 30 seconds as I unloaded my basket. But I think that was because I was in sweats, had no make-up on and am a Yank. 🤷🏻♀️ Took a star off for that attitude, but a few of the store organizers I passed had a ready smile, so who knows. Definitely luck of the draw. Maybe don't go in if you don't look particularly posh, but as always--your call, figured I'd warn ya'.

So I bought this £1 inflatable reindeer from poundland. And what even is this!? Its pink and looks absolutely nothing like the picture. If you even think about buying one of these. Dont. Its a waste and is completely useless. Why is it even pink?? This is just pure fraud. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Staff were rude, to busy talking over their headsets about customers or their social life, is that what they were bought for!

Fantastic store! 100% people staffed check outs and zero self check out machines, just the way it should be. I just want to give a hug to this store manager for keeping shopping experience pleasant and human instead of an episode of Black Mirror lol

Overall, a great store. Some items seem to price match that of other big name supermarkets, but a lot of items are cheaper and I have to say the fresh fruits & veggies in Lidl are tastier.
Just wish you could reserve or click and collect online, as I can't always find the items I'm looking for, and I don't know if it's just sold out since I last searched online or I just missed it.

Good. Ut sometimes grocery items are not available. The staff there are so helpful. It would be good to have more variety on dairy
Same as any other Lidl, always a long wait to be served with only 1 or 2 tills ever open, but that's the same with any Lidl - prices are cheap because they employ minimal staff. If you want to be served quickly you go to a more expensive supermarket.

The place itself is good, well-stocked with a decent variety of food offered. When it gets busier, the queues are rather long and the place gets untidy. I would also suggest a general clean of the baskets and removal of the litter in the aisles.

Lidl formula is comfortingly similar all over Europe and this one's no exception. They didn't have either of the wines featured in their weekly coupon push promotion to my 'phone and it was messy with restocking trolleys in the way plus lots of empty spaced on the shelves.

Been shopping hear now for some time and go back every week. The staff are friendly and helpful the place is always clean.
Has a good range of stock but it needs a little more I think. Bakery is great, they also have customer toilets and a phone with a direct link to a taxi company. Could not ask for more, thank you Lidl.

Not bad has clothing stuff upstairs as well pepco minimal staff and no self service tills most staff don’t speak proper English need new recruits and area manager needs to be updated
We visited the store today and the cashier who served us was so friendly and helpful. My little one had a knot in her shoe, and her lace was undone. I couldn’t sort it so he offered to. He went the extra mile. His name was Josh and we visited at the store Sunday 14th November. Thank you Josh for being so helpful and cheery! Asset to the store.

The other staff are usually so bubbly and put the stuff straight into your shopping bag. I put my bag on the counter and he piled my purchases behind it. It wasn't easy trying to reach through the perspex screen to pack my goods.

I visited this store on principle of location to see if it was similar or equal to store pound stores in areas linked with socioeconomic factors.
The store is pristine and well managed. Social distancing is taken MORE seriously (compared stores in other postcodes) for example fixed staff member for entry, hygiene and management, which hasn't been seen across all stores. Store is well stocked, and actually pleasant to be in. It's well organised and operates smoothly. Only con perhaps a little under staffed for help and support.

Heard lots about these shops before I went ...and was not disappointed. The prices of items here is really good value. Worth a visit to investigate for yourself.
A perfect place to shop that has real bargains. Prices of some of the articles, especially in the toiletries and medicine sections, are far below the market price for the big names manufacturers.

Has a lot of things and brand names that you will pay more for in your supermarket store will use more for house hold goods ie shampoo and shower and cleaning goods so handy as near by and still great value for money
