Walked in got seated straight away and six of us, but was very crampped with all of us and it was high seating options so not the best for disabled access. The staff where kind and helpful. The food was excellent but portion size I thought were a bit small and the mens toilets were not the best the whole floor in water and pretty disgusting. But overall I do suggest this restaurant. Good, fantastic and excellent.
An absolutely delightful Indian restaurant in the jewellery quarter of Birmingham.

If you're coming by car there is plenty of on street parking.

Lovely decor, and a very friendly welcome from the staff.

We had poppadoms which were lovely and spicy, but only had mint yoghurt and raita dips, no mango chutney. Small issue!

Mains were exceptional.

We had minced keema curry and Rajdoot Chicken, with sides of Naan, Paratha, onion bhaji and Pilau rice.

We couldn't fault a thing. Great flavours and spicing. We ate the lot.

Highly recommend.
The only good thing about this place was the interior design. The service and food was appalling. On arrival, the waiter walked off without any type of greet took us to our table and then walked off. We waited 30 minutes before any member of staff came to our table. We ordered drinks and food. Three members of the table ordered fries but beware they are not fries! They are small potatoes with mint sauce on which are not tasty at all. I ordered the sticky chicken and was then told this wasn’t available, I asked for three more things but all three weren’t available and was put on the spot and had no time to re-look through the menu so had to choose the wrap. This came out ten minutes later than my fries and later than the rest of the tables food. The wrap was flat on a plate with a few pieces of chicken, salad and mint sauce and was not tasty at all. The waitress we had was extremely rude and as she walked past us she gave my table continuous dirty looks alongside the rest of the staff there. We ordered dessert, and due to an allergy of strawberries, my partner asked if any strawberries was present in the pudding, to which the waiter replied ‘what? It’s pomegranate’ and slid the brownie across the table, frowned and walked off. When asking for the cocktail menu, the waitress was extremely rude and kept laughing. After showing our ID she continued to frown and stare at us. We asked for the bill early as we couldn’t stay in that atmosphere. The bill came to £178 but they added a £20 tip bringing the total to £200. We asked for the tip to be removed as we was not happy with the service we received. Everybody payed individually. We all rounded our totals up so that we could pay the £1 donation. This meant we definitely had payed over the final bill. As we left, two members of my group walked behind. The waitress stopped them and said they were 20p short despite them paying over. My friend gave them 50p in cash to which the waitress smirked and turned around not offering to give her the 30p back. This isn’t a massive issue but considering they made a massive deal of a 20p under payment they should surely appreciate they need to give back their customer their 30p overpayment. The staffs atmosphere and attitude to work was absolutely disgusting. I will never be eating here or attending here again and will make sure to let peers know to avoid this restaurant in the future.
Excellent, tasty food. Promptly delivered and extremely well priced. Almost don't want to post this review, just in case I can never get a delivery again after more people try them, theyll be too busy. 🙃

Rajdoot stands as one of Birmingham's standout Indian dining destinations, and I've had the pleasure of dining there on numerous occasions.
Situated in a convenient location, the restaurant offers a welcoming ambiance that pairs perfectly with its stellar service and cuisine.

The menu features an enticing selection of dishes, among which my go to choices are the saag paneer and aloo chana.
These dishes are consistently well prepared, delivering rich, authentic flavors that leave a lasting impression. Additionally, the naan breads are a true highlight, striking the ideal balance between fluffy and crisp.

While I reserve five star ratings for truly exceptional establishments, Rajdoot certainly earns a solid four stars. It's a testament to the restaurant's consistent excellence and dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience.

I had the pleasure of dining here for my birthday and what an extraordinary culinary experience it was. I cannot fault one dish I was served, the attention to detail and the presentation/taste was out of this world. The staff are extremely attentive and helpful when explaining the menu; however I genuinely have no words for the food as it’s truly indescribable… the combination of flavours, textures and taste was just phenomenal. Left here feeling truly content and satisfied, I highly recommend visiting on an empty stomach… what an amazing 2* Michelin dining experience!

There was a bit of waiting for odd hours in the weekend. Staffs were friendly and descriptive, it even felt that they would start giving free classes now 😂
We order 2 thalis with different curry bowls. Taste was top notch but the prices were on the higher end. (Not sure about non thali items)
Have you ever thought that the interior design of an unfamiliar restaurant can guide you towards the flavors you will soon discover? That's exactly how it is at Mowgli Food restaurant in Birmingham. The softly flickering lights hidden in beautiful, large (and importantly, very clean!) jars create an incredible introduction to a culinary feast. You find yourself surrounded by thousands, even millions of twinkling lights, uncovering the mysterious world of Indian cuisine. It may seem obvious, seemingly well-known, yet it feels like discovering it anew, just like those lights.
And the attentive staff taking care of you. Very helpful, but absolutely unobtrusive. Always ready to assist you. And understanding towards our children - who are not easy, unfortunately. 😉
You know that the proposed dishes and a good glass of wine will make this meal unforgettable.
It's a shame that I can't visit there this weekend!
MASHA ALLAH very nice and tasty food.
Highly recommend

Delicious Indian food with a good selection of vegetarian options. Service was very good even for a table of 11 of us on a Saturday night, staff were welcoming and food came quickly. Lovely atmosphere. Would recommend.
Lovely place, always nice food. It is a little small, but nice atmosphere. Such a luxury that you can bring your own booze,
The place for a decent samosa, fresh and very tasty, quality and great value for money
Food is good. I tried nihari and pratha and both were ok. Just a tiny request/suggestion, kindly clean the ceiling lamp in sitting area. It gives very odd impression of the place.

Very busy but exceptional food and service. Indian but with a twist. The beer choice needs sorting though. They only have Cobra on draft. The rest is bottled, but the menu does not show the bottle sizes, so you have no idea how much beer you are paying for.

Found the food to be mediocre. The waiter seemed annoyed at our questions about vegan options. Papadams and sauces were good and plentiful.
Rajdoot is fabulous. Great food , excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere that never disappoints. In fact having been a regular customer for over 25 years we can confirm that Rajdoot is consistently reliable , and that is something very few restaurants manage to achieve.
We now live in Hampshire but whenever visiting Birmingham we always make sure of another visit to this wonderful restaurant and we hope to be booking a table soon.

A beautiful restaurant serving delicious Indian food. The service was rapid and we got all our food within 10 minutes. The staff were amazing and very hospitable. The atmosphere is lovely and the tables were very clean. I was impressed with the restaurant's dedication to its customers with dietary requirements. Vegan options and gluten friendly options both had their own allocated spot on the back of the menu. Vegetarian options were labelled clearly. The food was spectacular, we ordered the Thali and got to try out different curries, all of which tasted flavourful. I would definitely recommend Tamatanga! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is my 2nd visit here and I can't wait to go back. Situated in the food court of the station it stands out because of the beautiful decor, with thousands of fairy lights sparkling. Very nice seating arrangement, with some booths, the staff are always friendly and efficient. The food is fabulous, served in Tiffin tins, and beautiful silver square plates to eat from. I chose 3 dishes, chickpeas in Darjeeling tea, lentil Dahl, and potato with spinach and tomato. My companion had buttered chicken and flatbread. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

Wow, what an amazing experience. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable. We had the 10 course tasting menu and 4 “snacks” in the bar, which was all included. To say we were full to bursting at the end is an understatement. No wonder this restaurant has 2 Michelin stars. It’s a must try if you’re in Birmingham. Thank you Aktar Islam and all your amazing staff.
What an amazing experience. Every little detail was thought through. Food looked and tasted amazing!! One of my favorites was the potato 5 ways and the lamb rib. Def go hungry as towards the end I was struggling. They look tiny but they add so many lovely little extras.
Will 100% recommend. Service was amazing and staff lovely and knowledgeable.

The atmosphere was so welcoming and comforting. Not pretentious. The food and whole experience was outstanding. All the chefs and front of house staff do an amazing job. It was a privilege to be served by Aktar himself, who was running his kitchen with efficency and pride.
Just finished an amazing lunchtime with my colleague, food was so good i couldn’t be more impressed. The restaurant was gorgeous also with great service and lovely people - unbelievable prices also
Very loud and crowed, wait times more than 45 minutes, just ordered chicken Biryani and chicken dosa, a normal wait time. Should be 15 minutes maximum, no Time estimate given, not really friendly staff, very loud, worst experience so far
The food was amazzzzing, definitely, I’m coming again🤩. Also, the staff were very welcoming, thank you all for the service🥰. (I recommend to book before).
Authentic and original, best samosas around, and the unique source always compliments the food
If you wana go to heaven . Direct flight from here . Eat plenty next wake up in first class lounge .

The food is absolutely incredible; especially the tandoori chicken, lamb chops, and salmon.

The meat is really high quality and cooked to perfection! You can really taste the spice of India, and the healthy ingredients used.

Highly recommend to anyone looking to eat here in Nottingham
Mowgli, an Indian restaurant situated in Bull Ring, Birmingham Central. Notably, the establishment was relatively calm during my time there. A noteworthy aspect was the absence of appetizers on the menu, which exclusively featured main course dishes. While the items were reasonably priced, the portion sizes, upon consideration, seemed somewhat modest for an individual with a hearty appetite.

The restaurant's interior, adorned with dim lighting, posed a challenge in terms of menu readability. The utilization of cutlery presented in a recycled ghee tin struck me as a slightly downgraded aesthetic choice. Despite these observations, I must commend the staff for their exceptional politeness and courtesy. Impressively, the food was promptly served within a mere 10 minutes of placing the order.

The culinary experience proved to be a highlight, with the flavors resonating exceptionally well. In light of the commendable quality of the food, I would rate Mowgli with a score of 4 out of 5.
Haven’t been for over 5 years as moved away. On a short visit here and this was my first stop. Still the most amazing masala dosa! Tried the noodles like other reviewer said - awesome! LOVE DOSA WORLD ❤️

Another amazing visit to Opheem today. Outstanding from start to end. Incredible service from the moment we stepped foot in the front door until the moment we left.
The food was just superb, every course was a masterclass in flavor and textures and the service.
was impossible to fault.
Congratulations on the 2nd Star, a lot of hard work & dedication to have achieved that accolade.
Thank you made my birthday truly memorable 👏👏👏👏👏
Food was outstanding staff are really nice and pleasant service is second to none really recommend it
This was my 1st to this restaurant and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. As I usually do normal standard India restaurants.

Anyway the food was really nice and a great mixture of spices thrown in to add the element of difference to the eating experience. They are small portions and I had a mixture of 4 separate dishes to share with
others so we had a good selection of different foods. The staff are really pleasant and the food was served all at the same time too. Highly recommended.

We came all the way from other side of London. It’s worth it every single mile. We ordered vegetarian shared platter, butter chicken and chicken chatterny(something like that) , they made also special garlic naan. All of them were sensational 🔥🔥🔥
Superb dining experience. Wonderful service from everyone and made to feel really welcome. Food was fresh and gorgeous. Really special evening.

Four of us had a lunchtime Birthday celebration. Ten course tasting menu £125 was an experience rather than just a meal. Allow at least three hours!
Food as you might expect was very innovative with an Asian twist. Portions a decent size. You will not leave hungry. Dishes included scallops, sea bass, cod, lamb, venison plus the vegetable dishes which were equally as good. Staff are great, you feel relaxed and Aktar came to our table twice to discuss the dish being served. A great touch, as was the hand written Birthday card. Some courses at the beginning & end are served in the lounge. Aktar comes over as a thoroughly decent person. It must be hard maintaining this standard. The place was pretty much full, which creates a great ambience
There is some parking outside including disabled spaces
I ordered Aloo paratha this morning from uber eats. They were totally burnt and stuffed with something that wasnt aloo. Shocking as I am a regular customer.

Also, below they have responded by lying and stating they didnt send it this way. All of the parathas were burnt and the filling wasnt even proper aloo. I suspect it was something else. I didnt reheat the paratha as you can see by looking at the state of them! They were not edible. Instead of accepting you have sent something faulty , you are lying! I have been a long term customer and by lying you have just lost a customer due to your poor customer service. We also called you when these burnt parathas arrived...your reponse was what shall i do about it ? You dont have a taxi to send new ones....very disappointing 🤔
Food was so good, would definatley go back next time I'm in Harlow
Life changing food. Authentic, true to roots, and blows your mind. All heart ❤️

Amazing food and service … they put their heart into it …you can tell by the taste and the smile the gentleman serves with .

PS . Had more food , just couldn’t stop to take photos

I've never really fancied trying a fine dining restaurant for a number of reasons. 1 the cost of these places, 2 always worried that I wouldn't be full at the end. 3. Actually getting a reservation. It was £125 for a 10 course tasting menu and it was worth every penny. The food was outstanding in every aspect. The look, flavours and textures were unbelievable. This is my first experience with fine dining and I don't think it will be my last. I'm normally the type of guy that orders the biggest items on the menu to make sure I'm full. I had concerns I would still be hungry after seeing images of the small plates that are associated with fine dinning. This was not the case at all just the right amount of food for even a large eater like my self. I would return to this place in a heart beat. 11 out of 10

Mutton biryani was extraordinary and the chicken noodles ive taken away to have it in my coach was amazing 😋 The thinnest noodles ive eaten till now! Being a foodie and having a passion towards cooking. I can suggest you tasting any biryani/fried rice/noodles in this restaurant. Happy eating 😁

I would have definitely given 3 stars but the service provided by the gentleman was warm and efficient , he was really outstanding and service friendly . I forgot to ask his name so I could mention it here .
The dishes are overpriced and the food is average . Ambience is decent with decent menu options .
Overall , not many Indian restaurants in the vicinity will work well for the restaurant.

Das beste indische Essen, daß ich außerhalb Indiens gegessen habe!!MEGA!!Chicken Khurana und Mango Lassi, Garlic naan.
Superfreundliches Personal, total aufmerksam, superschöne Atmosphäre!!

I have come to this venue on a number of occasions and it's always been a good experience.
They really focus on their flavouring. It's a small and simple menu but it works. The venue has great ambiance, however it could be a bit warmer.
But overall I would return, and will recommend to all.
Try the chaat bombs as starters, they are so good.

A wonderful three course lunch at Opheem, with additional unexpected snacks and treats, where service was very attentive but by no means intrusive. Vegetarian dietary requirements were catered for with each course being carefully explained. The food and drink served was incredible, just a couple of things weren't to our taste. My first fine dining experience which I'll always remember.

Best Indian food in the city centre. Wild thing is, service is so quick no matter how packed the restaurant is. Their design is beautiful and the staff are always there to help with the menu as can get a bit complicated for me. Their curries are one of the best in Birmingham. Been there with work mates and with with freinds and on both occasions the service is excellent

Food was excellent. You must try their Kulfi,is a delicious dessert. Beautiful setting and
a relaxed convivial atmosphere. The staff were well mannered and attentive.
I would definitely recommend it.
Oh my goodness! Lovely atmosphere but we had to wait so long for our food. So disappointed
The food is priced surprisingly well and the atmosphere is very nice. Flavour wise things are rather mild, we were trying to order something that had some heat to it but were left disappointed. Still some great options though

Food is very nice, staff seemed a bit grumpy today not very usual for them as they usually friendly ill let it slide this time as its a one off, next time time i come i hope to see friendly faces like i usually do thank you
环境安逸,物美价廉,工业区能吃到这样的印餐尤其是naan bread 点赞。
Overall great experience but waiting time on Sunday morning was more then expected. It’s a small restaurant and most of the things prepared fresh so it may take some time to fulfill your order. Must to try things are halwa puri and chana, Aalo paratha are great, Nihari is must to try with freshly prepared kulchay, in drinks fresh orange juice and mango lassi is must to try. Parking could be a challenge on event days, but conveniently located near train and bus stops.
