Very sweet little museum. Nice laces and other items
Not a big museum, if you want to go fast one hour will be enough although I would suggest to spare 2-3 hours. If you want to learn and see the history of Zagreb, this is a great museum.
It is located since 1664. The great poet Hanibal Lucic's daughter in law Julija willed this place to Benedictines in 1591. There are many things displayed. The nuns have been making laces of agave threads since 19th century which is mentioned in UNESCO's List Of The Intangible Cultural Heritage Of Humanity. The laces are very famous and available for sale but they are expensive.
Excellent museum, lots of historical information about the region, from stone age thru to roman times. The latter exhibition area has been re-vamped recently and is very well presented with explanations in both Croatian and English.
All the artifacts were pretty and well preserved, but it gets boring quickly without a guide or another activity planned. You only need 30 minutes to see the whole thing (if you get here after 1 PM).

They also accept card payments :)

Great little Museum to visit whilst walking around the City Walls.
It's not huge in size but contains some great exhibits and lots of interesting info about the Maritime History of Dubrovnik (both in Croatian and English 👍).
If you like model Ships, you'll like this place 😉
We were able to enter because we had a Dubrovnik Pass, I'd recommend buying one of those, rather than just paying for the Museum (that way it is then free to also visit all the Museums , walk the Walls and get free bus travel too 😎 )
History of the region starting with prehistory (before writing) on the top floor through to the Roman period.
€5 tickets. Good 1.5 -2 hours.
Good history museum and well organised. Shame there wasn't more information on recent history in Croatia.
Insgesamt besonders empfehlenswert.
The ticket price is a little expensive for adults especially. Most things you'll have seem online. More like one big exhibit. Staff was friendly. Is a very quiet place as well.
Its just an okay museum. Nothing much special. They are charging €13 per person. But its not worth it with this money. It shouldn’t be more than €7.
The descriptions are rather boring but you can look at some very cool artifacts. It's worth visiting, especially since the ticket price is low.
Nice, place. Very quiet outside of summer. Interesting information about some crazy old glass, like 2000+ years!

Very interesting and well-kept museum with tons of authentic artifacts. There are two floors full of information. We especially enjoyed all the maps and models of the ships.
It is included in the Dubrovnik Pass and they have bathrooms.
A MUST SEE when you climb the walls... Delightful collection of everything maritime especially capturing the glory days when they dominated the seas
Quite possibly the best museum I’ve ever been to. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but I was enamored and spent almost two hours there. A ton of information about the ships, shipping routes, captains, etc from the Adriatic. There are a ton of artifacts, ship models, paintings and even books. I can’t recommend this enough! There’s also a small children’s area!
Excellent view of the entire city and the sea.
Unfortunately very little to see from the castle's time apart from the walls and buildings
Arheološki muzej u Zadru krije neprocjenjivo blago prošlosti u kojem ćete otkrijte sve o prošlosti Zadra i to od samih početaka a govorimo o 3000 godina u prošlost.
Je to restaurace, kde se platí vstup 5€. Nelze si udělat jinak fotky ostrova. Restaurace je věčně plná a rezervovaná dopředu. Bez vstupu je výhled nula.
Ausgezeichnetes Konzept, sehr interessant aufgebautes Museum.
This place is a gem! You learn a bit history of this region while in the museum. The best part is the modern sculptures (we were lucky to get to see one from an amazing artist from Thailand, but you get to see diffrent ones at diffrent times of year). Also there is a demonstration of how the glas was made! Amazing!
We spent about 2 hours in the museum and had a lot of fun interacting & messing around with all the exhibits. It’s important to read the guidance on the walls on what you can do with getting the best experience from each exhibit. 60 Kuna per/person (adult ticket) well spent :) Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Photography is permitted inside.
Museum is worth visiting! Its amazing! So much work made! Detailed information on the exposition, security, extra shoe covers, English subtitles everywhere. Great experience!
One of the surprise delights of the visit. A little complicated to find as signage is misleading. Inside ate a number of exhibits to ponder and play with. The whole family really had fun. A hour passed by very quickly. You can also purchase a lot of puzzles on the way out.
This is a very interesting museum! Even with family, with 2 and 5 years old children you can find engaging things. Mirror rooms, holograms, loop room, tunnels and a very good smart shop.
Goed overzicht over regionale geschiedenis met complete Engelstalige uitleg. Wel wat saaie presentatie en lastig leesbaar. De collectie is niet erg afwisselend.
