Il Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari è un gioiello architettonico e un simbolo della cultura pugliese. Inaugurato nel 1903, ha subito un incendio nel 1991 e, dopo un lungo restauro, è stato riportato al suo antico splendore nel 2009.
Con la sua capienza di 1.480 posti, ospita una ricca stagione di opera, balletto, concerti e altri eventi culturali. Il suo palcoscenico ha visto esibirsi i più grandi nomi della musica e della danza internazionale, da Luciano Pavarotti a Plácido Domingo.
Ma il Petruzzelli non è solo un teatro: è un luogo di incontro e di scambio, un punto di riferimento per la città di Bari e per tutta la Puglia. La sua facciata in pietra bianca e marmo, il suo foyer affrescato e la sua cupola di 50 metri ne fanno un vero e proprio monumento.

Visited for the European Design Awards 2024 ceremony. Cool place
Un teatro veramente bellissimo, da quanto ho potuto vedere. Anche l'organizzazione di eventi mi è sembrata buona.
Heel leuk! Bijzonder verhaal wat de gids vertelt (Italiaans en Engels) en zonder gids mag je er niet in. Op de website staan de actuele openingstijden en tijdstippen van de tour en die komen overeen met de werkelijkheid.
Fabulous acoustics, excellent performance by the philharmonic symphony orchestra and absolutely stunning opera house - well worth visiting - Maestro Salvatore Percacciolo presented an excellent program.
A very nice traditional theatre with a very rich cultural programme.
The guide (the gilr with alergy :) ) is excellent, she is sooo cute, she had all our attention and her English is fantastic, well done!

Nonostante io sia napoletano di nascita e vivo a Napoli non ero mai stato in questo bel teatro che, si presenta con una bella facciata e un ingresso imponente.
L'interno è molto bello e ricco.
Peccato che abbia una gestione che sembra un po' limitata (es. Alla fine dello spettacolo ci hanno pressoché cacciato mentre attendevamo di poter incontrare gli attori). Persino il bar era chiuso nono stante lo spettacolo fosse durato solo 1,5 ore.
Spero di tornarci presto e trovare i miglioramenti che la struttura merita.

Famous Arena of Verona. In summer time your visit/sightseeing may be limited due of stage works for upcoming operas. I suggest a visit in the early morning to avoid long waiting queues. If you're gonna visit other museums in Verona, it's highly recommended to buy the "Verona Card". With that card u can use the fast lane at the entries.
Absolutely beautiful architecture. The opera was fantastic. Staff at ticket office were wonderful.

Very impressed with the size and completeness of this arena, which is a little older than the Colosseum in Rome. The space inside is big, and with the missing outer wall it would have held 30000 people! The view from the top, looking out over Verona is wonderful. Well worth a visit!
We enjoyed the visit, used our Verona card and skipped the line. Work was getting done to prepare the place for concerts. But we enjoyed. At the back we watched a school acting out gladatior fights and fighting 🐅 and 🦁 very enjoyable and kids where learning and having fun.
Worth visiting, didn't take too long to get through the queue.

One thing you should do - book your ticket in advance online.
The lines are incredible long and you can wait easily 45min or even more than 1 hrs.
We went at lunchtime, line was short, but we still waited approximately 20min.
I’ve to say, when you see how they work and how the whole process goes - you can’t be more inefficient!
4 - 6 people watching the line and sides, so nobody can sneak in for free.

Stunning place. To be able to wander where the ancient Romans sat and watched the bloody gladiatorial battles took place 2000 years later...would love to watch an opera here later in the year - one for the bucket list.
The Arena in Verona is the social center of the town. So many people stroll in the piazza, chatting in the many sidewalk cafes, all within sight of this beautiful, ancient monument. I was fortunate to see La Traviata performed there during the 2023 opera season. The production was nothing short of spectacular, and the people watching was almost as good. It was one of the most memorable nights of my life.
Even if you can't or don't want to see an opera here, do visit the Arena and take in the fabulous vibe there.

Il teatro è stato recentemente riportato all'antico splendore dopo anni di inattività e devo dire che è veramente meraviglioso.
Uno dei pochi teatri a gestione privata nel passato, porta ancora i segni dell'incendio che lo distrusse nel 1991, l'affresco nel foyer è tuttora un po' scuro.
Una cosa che mi ha colpito è che non porta segni di alcuna casata reale: questo ne denota l'indipendenza dalla Corona in epoca monarchica.
Si prenota la visita guidata e una guida vi spiegherà tutto quello che c'è da sapere sul teatro di Bari. Molto bello e particolare.

This was a very awesome experience, they were getting ready for a concert. You could just walk on in, I was able to walk around and check out the arena for free. I don’t know how often that happens but I lucked out and really enjoyed checking the place out. I would definitely recommend visiting this historic place if you get the chance.

Un spectacle qui vous fera aimer l'opéra, notamment grâce à une très belle interprétation de Violetta. A voir absolument.
Superschönes Theater!
Ein wunderschönes Opernhaus. Achtet darauf, dass Ihr keine 2te Reihe in einer Loge bekommt. Man sitzt sehr unbequem auf einem Barhocker mit verkürzter Rückenlehne und Sitzfläche, die einem in die Schenkel schneidet. Man steht bequemer.
Dieses ehrwürdige Theater, 1898-1903 von den Brüdern Petruzzelli erbaut, wirkt gepflegt und traditionsbewusst, gilt als einer der schönsten Operntempel Italiens und hat einen prächtigen, großen Zuschauerraum mit umlaufenden Logengalerien. Leider haben wir es nur besichtigt und konnten keine Aufführung erleben. Die Führung ist empfehlenswert.
Une Traviata exceptionnelle dans le contexte fort original d'un vieux palais vénitien, qui porte l'émotion autant que la voix de la soprano colorata, du ténor, et du baryton. 3 actes, 3 changements de salle et décors. La performance et la proximité des artistes, dont nous entendons jusqu'à chaque respiration. Une dégustation de cocktail Prosecco en prime à l'entracte. Top ! J'ai vécu une grande émotion et jai adoré 🥰 merci beaucoup ! Je recommande à faire à Venise !

À faire sans hésitation... Même si vous n'êtes pas féru d'opéra à la base, vous ne pourrez pas rester indifférent à cette "expérience"... Je ne veux pas me risquer à dévoiler quoi que ce soit car l'effet surprise fait partie du plaisir de ce magnifique spectacle extrêmement qualitatif.

Schönes Opernhaus in Bari, auch noch in Zeiten von Corona entspannte Kontrollen.
Als ich da war, gab es massive Probleme mit der Beleuchtung... Kann Passieren aber nervt ein bisschen. Und ich habe selten ein derartig schwatzhaftes Opernpublikum erlebt😕

Endroit fabuleux, il fait absolument venir voir un opéra ambulant dans cette bâtisse. Très original, nous sommes au plus près des artistes et l’on change de pièce à chaque acte.

Tolles Gebäude , schön restauriert im Herzen von Bari. Wir waren 2019 dort , haben das Opernhaus leider nur von außen angesehen. Haltepunkt vom Sightseeing Bus.
Helaas niet de kans gekregen om binnen te kijken. Is beperkt open. (Covid-19?)
Great Option Anytime in Trieste. Perfect Organization and Environment. They usually offer very enjotyable evenings. The chorus cast from Teatro Verdi is very powerful. Some plays are outstanding while some others are too modern for my pleasure. This theater Is the most important theater of the city of Trieste and has its own stabile orchestra and choral ensembles.
