Lovely atmosphere with plenty of parking.
Went to celebrate a birthday dinner with family and relatives on a holiday. So the place was crowded. Better to make reservation before you go.

We ordered a variety of food items, drinks and desserts on the menu card. Quality, quantity and taste of food was ok.

Service and quality and taste of food could improve.
This is my second review as I remembered.
No more reviews for them and do not order food from them.
We ordered Mutton Special Sawan. BBQ Chicken was full of Artificial Colour. Mutton cooked only 70%. not the price worth.
Food is tasty. Generous potions.
Not a full- Indian restaurant because of only a selected/few Indian dishes.

No Wada, Dosa, Naan, Parata etc.
Waiter Ramesh was very cordial and took good care of us and kindly helped with our order

Best wishes!
Ordered two Nasi Goreng food was good and tasty. But the restaurant is not clean enough. Finding parking is a bit difficult during peak times. Overall satisfied with their service.
Amazing Naan Rotti & Chetty Nadu chicken curry at Savera Indian Restaurant! Perfectly cooked and delicious. Great food, ambiance, and service. Highly recommend!
At Maharaja Palace, every meal is fit for royalty! We treated ourselves to their delectable chicken biryani, and it was truly a flavor fiesta fit for a king. Each spoonful was a burst of spices that transported us straight to flavor paradise! And for dessert, we indulged in a refreshing Faluda and a Lassi that were nothing short of liquid gold – the perfect sweet ending to our regal feast. If you’re craving Indian cuisine that’s fit for a Maharaja, look no further than this culinary palace! 👑🍛

I have ordered mix mongolian fride rice and they have delivered a chicken fride rice. This was totally different order which i was ordered and expected.
This was the second time I face this issue. Once I contact their operator who called Niven. He requested from me to send photos from whatsup then he accepted issue was from their end and he told come and order chicken fride rice then he will give mongolian fride rice for it, which was really disgraceful request from customer who have to order something again from their shop.

This incident was very disappointed and I wanted put this review hoping no one will face this issue again.

An Indian foo restaurant with a delicious cuisine.
Friendly staff.
Leckeres Essen in entspannter Atmosphäre. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, klare Empfehlung.

A lovely lunch at Chutney’s, the service was excellent managing a large group. The variety of dishes on the menu made it difficult to order 😊, we enjoyed the thali and other dishes that were ordered. Would recommend a visit.
Unglaublich leckeres Essen.
Chutneys, nestled within Cinnamon Grand in Colombo 03, is a delightful South Indian restaurant that promises a culinary journey through Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. The extensive menu offers a rich tapestry of flavors, each dish crafted to perfection. What truly sets Chutneys apart is the expertise of their Indian chef, whose touch adds an authentic charm to every bite. Prepare to be amazed as you savor the essence of South Indian cuisine in every delectable dish.

Our dining experience at Chutneys was off to a great start with the Ulndu Wade, served with two flavorful chutneys. With just three pieces, it left us craving for more! Priced at LKR 1,080, it was worth every penny for the amazing taste it offered.

For beverages, we tried the refreshing Tamarind Juice, or "Panakam," which was simply delightful. With the subtle sweetness of jaggery, it was a perfect accompaniment to our meal, priced at only LKR 850. This is a must try.

We also indulged in the pure Ginger Juice, known as "Inji Chaaru," priced similarly at LKR 850. It had a comforting, homemade feel to it, leaving us thoroughly satisfied.

For mains, we ordered a non-veg Dosai Thali came with two masala dosais and one paper dosai and 12 or 13 curries. i remember it had mutton curry, chicken curry, carrot halwa and so many more. i would say, if you are an average eater, that portion would be suffice for two people. it was priced at LKR 2,480/-. Highly recommended.

We opted for the Paratha portion, which included three delicious layered parathas, priced at LKR 1,080. Each paratha was perfectly cooked, with layers that added to its texture and taste.

To complement the parathas, we ordered the Andhra style Prawn curry, also known as "Royyilu Iguru," priced at LKR 2,280. The curry was an absolute delight, bursting with flavors and generously filled with succulent prawns. It was a truly satisfying culinary experience!

After indulging in the delightful dishes mentioned above, we found ourselves pleasantly full and unfortunately couldn't explore the dessert menu.

When the bill arrived, including service charges and taxes, the total came to about LKR 11,584. Considering the quality of food, service, and overall experience, we felt it was well worth the money spent.

The restaurant emanates an authentic Indian vibe with its serene and peaceful ambiance. It's an ideal spot for family or group outings, as the seating arrangements provide a sense of privacy for each group. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and highly recommend it.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Absolute Empfehlung in Colombo.
Visited for lunch on Pongal. The atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly. Ulundu wade, Bonda, Dosa non-veg Thali, South Indian non-veg Thali, Mutton/Prawn Biryani, Lassi, Tamarind juice, Masala Chai were fresh and tasted so good.
It took some time to prepare the order, however, the calm atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxing until the dishes got ready.

Chutneys, is a South Indian restaurant at the Cinnamon Grand. Most, if not all South Indian restaurants that you find in any city, generally provide food from Tami Nadu only. However, Chutneys is unique, in that it has both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes not only from Tamil Nadu, but also from Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. So I opted for an Andra Pradesh dish of Nellore Chepala Pulusu
(Nellore chilli spiced signature fish curry) to start my lunch. Unfortunately, it was loaded with mango juice and was very sour. So they re did it for me without the mango. It was made with Seer fish and was spicy with a thick tomato based gravy.

This was followed by a Karnataka preparation of Badanekai Alugadde Palya (Brinjals and potatoes tempered with mustard and dry masala). This dish was like a hash, with zero texture. Most of the potatoes were mashed. It seemed that the dish had been made a while back and was being reheated frequently. There was flavor, and it came from the small pieces of lightly charred brinjals. Also had white basmati rice and raita (with chilies and onions), as accompaniments. Service was good, they kept checking on me to make sure everything was okay.

No greetings at entrances. Couldn't help with our request to sit in a table area we showed said they are clearing that section as they were finishing shift. Sat on 1st table at entrance which we didn't like anyways as we were hungry for over 15 minutes until we begged to bring a Menu card. Terrible service. If the stewards are not happy train them to fake a smile. Order was seafood mix fried rice. Came with few small roast chicken pieces and found few small fish roasted pieces. Prawn curry was chilly hot (may be not for a srilankan resident). No spoons to serve curries. Manager tries his best to run around but not enough effort. Asked 2 times for tooth picks then asked manager who brought 2 with his fingers holding the sharp edge that goes in the mouth. So much for hygiene. Safety? Food full of oil and MSG to taste good. I'm sorry but I'm a Food lover realistic critic. Floor was not cleaned continuously dirty. It's not magic had too many to serve but nobody really wants to work. I wish I could give them a training day!

Gutes Essen, freundlicher Service!
An Indian restaurant that offers a diverse range of dishes and beverages. The place is spacious, with ample seating, and the ambience adds to the overall experience. However, it's worth noting that the cleanliness could be improved as we encountered dead flies in our cutlery.

On the bright side, the Tandoori Chicken Biryani and Chicken Cheese Pasta we ordered were delightful. We also highly recommend trying their Mango & Strawberry Lassi as they were a real treat. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were average.

As for the customer service, while some of the stewards seemed a bit impolite initially, the one who attended to us was extremely helpful, friendly, and polite, making the overall dining experience more enjoyable.

Despite the minor cleanliness issue and initial encounter with some less-than-friendly staff, we still plan to revisit the restaurant to explore their other tempting dishes.
Sehr grosse Vielfalt.
Leider aktuell (Vorsaison) keine große Auswahl aber wirklich sehr lecker!
Bad personal, bad chicken :(

Sehr leckere Speisen in sehr gepflegtem Ambiente.
