Lots of walking and sun’
Zoo was a cool experience but the aquarium was a little sad.
This is a top tier zoo! Tons of great animals to see and very few exhibits that felt like cages with pacing animals.

We went on a weekday so it was very empty. Suggest you take the train or ski-lift to the back of the zoo near the giraffes and then work your way back to the front of the park. Feeding the giraffes is a must since it only cost 50 pesos per person. Since the zoo was empty there wasnt any wait.

Don't sleep on the african safari either! Try to sit on the right side of the truck since it's closer to more animals, including the hippo tank that you drive through! They also drive you through one of the rhino pens which felt more intense since it was so close to us. The safari also had more giraffes and a pride of white lions.

The aquarium's biggest attraction for me was the manatee tank. For 100 pesos you can hand feed them as well. In the states something like that would cost much more and the line would take hours for tour turn.
The zoo is big, if you want to see all the animals arrive early, we bought Paqueste Premier so we could see all the animals without running. Recommended.
At the Guadalajara zoo there are different price points and we opted for the premier which is a short train ride, nice enough and quick. My mom has a disability scooter and I asked the attendant if he's sure they will take care of it because she needs it for long distances and was assured it won't leave the platform if we didn't hand in the number given to us. When the train completed the trip we took it and no one batted an eye or even asked if it was ours so clearly if anyone leaves something with them just know there's a possibility it can be taken. She drove off with it and nobody stopped us, I went around and gave the attendant both numbers and he didn't even ask a question. Do not leave your stuff there because again there is no assurance it will be taken care of. The zoo is ok, it's off the bucket list for a family member that has kids. I was not interested especially with my mom, I really think it needs better operations when it comes to getting off the train and more disability pathways.
A once in a lifetime experience. We loved everything about it. The prices are shown in the picture. We bought the “diamante” because it has the sky zoo + aquarium. Once entering you are greeted by the flamingos. On your right there is a food stand. And walk more on your left is the entrance to the train. The train takes you around the whole park. A little ahead is the entrance for the sky zoo. That did not have a line, unlike the train did. I went on the sky zoo first then ate some food and then went on the train. After that we walked around the zoo and towards the end we went on the safari truck that takes you around specific animals that are closed off. My favorite is the sky zoo because it’s unique and you see everything. The train is alright and is quick. I went on a Friday afternoon, to see the whole thing lasted us 5 hours. The gift shops were not so good and pricey. You could go inside the zoo with a bottled water and snacks. The food inside is also expensive but decent. I bought the tickets on the spot in the booth. The wait wasn’t much. Buy the wristbands and place it on and go in.
Great way to spend the day with a family. Get the premier pass which has the Safari and the aquarium. Don't miss the views at the end of the park. The eating area is next to a cliff and it's very beautiful.
