Out with friends.
Food n Beverage
We had sandwiches and Alcohol. Unfortunately, there was Coffee available.

It was good, smooth and in a reasonable time.
Atmosphere
Love the brick wall. The furniture layout is in very close proximity.

It's on the 1st floor. Old steep wooden narrow stairs.

The artists for the night did a great job engaging the crowd and performance was great.
However, the bad rating is for the venue and the food.
The seats are very uncomfortable and we were seated nearer to the back where we can barely see the artists’ heads throughout the performance and that is for the same full price which isn’t worth it. The place overall also felt overcrowded.
We ordered a cake and drinks and the cake order was left out by the server but we understand since it was a busy time it happens but when the cake arrived it tasted stale and look like it had been left overnight.
Unless you can come way earlier to book a seat right in front of the stage, it is not worth the price.

This is one of the Oriental group restaurants. They serve dim sum and other dishes. We had hokkien noodle and the portion is just right if dining for 2 people together with a plate of vegetable.
The restaurant charge for the tidbit (peanut); so if you do not want the peanut, let the server know early.
Parking is available in front of the restaurant though it is limited space. It is within walking distance from the TRX MRT station.

Great place, good music specially today's show all out 00s by the singer Jessy.

We went their to celebrate our friends birthday though the show ended before 12am couldn't blow out the birthday candles and surprise our friends as we told the staff before to hide the cake and later had it takeway because the show ended. We thought the show gonna go on till 12:30.
But overall everything was good. Their service is smooth and top notch. The staff is really nice. Highly recommended place for dates and birthday parties :)

Over the past two years we have been regular, indeed frequent, patrons of this music venue. The ambiance of JaoTim provides the ideal conditions to create the perfect atmosphere to really enjoy the musical performances and we have had many memorable nights enjoying the performances of various, highly talented, local performers and we have always found the JaoTim staff to be very friendly. Having said that, JaoTim is not perfect, there are many negatives. The really uncomfortable seats, the very limited and never changing food menu, the expensive drinks and only one choice of beer. Ladies, you will hate the fact that there is only one female toilet and there isn't even a changing room for the performers, so they are forced to sit near the bar putting on their makeup. However we have happily put up with and tended to look past all of these. That was until 30th May 2024 when we attended a Jazz show by 'Boys That Swing'. The performance put on by these five young local musicians was great, but the evening was utterly ruined by a table of middle aged men and women that talked incessantly. We asked them to be quiet, but this request was ignored. At the interval we even moved forward to a then empty table to get away from them, but a few minutes later another couple arrived, joined this group and the talking started over again. We asked them a second time to be quiet or if they must talk to relocate to the far end of the venue, their reply was to tell us to move closer to the band!
This is a 'pay to enter' music venue and so the ability to be able to enjoy the performance should be a given and the venue management should ensure such bad behaviour is dealt with immediately, for no other reason than respect to paying customers and also the performers. We saw nothing to indicate that the JaoTim management even care.

Menu is small. Mainly for drinks to listen to music. Grilled cheese sandwich and chicken pesto sandwiches are good, crispy sourdough. Cafe has a vibe though. Top marks for ambience and music.
I recently visited this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The food tasted good, and I appreciated the creativity of the dishes. The atmosphere was reasonable, and the service staff were generally friendly and warm. However, their incompetence and lack of attention to detail marred my experience.
Specifically, the staff were forgetful, failing to replace my cutlery and neglecting to serve the special chilli with my cheong fun until I asked. I had to request extra chilli sauce THREE times before receiving it. They also recorded my dessert order twice and didn't offer to clarify.
Furthermore, the staff made assumptions and were dishonest. When I asked about the Indonesian curry prawn bee hoon, they claimed it was off the menu but still available. However, the dish that arrived tasted nothing like Indonesian curry, and the order was written as prawn noodle which again they failed to read back and clarify my order. Similarly, they double-ordered my dessert, refused to take the dessert back despite not touching the dessert and insisted I pay for it, despite my clear instructions.
The staff lacked initiative, failing to replace plates unless requested and not following up to ensure all orders were accurately recorded and the dishes had arrived in good order.
This lack of initiative and honesty was evident in the menu presentation as well. The photos in the menu were not representative of the actual dishes, and the presentation lacked effort. It would have been better if they had noted that the photos were for illustration purposes only.

Overall, good upkeep of the expected standard. Good food taste. Fast and responsive service. One perculiar thing though, I notice the table is slightly low.
was here attending a jam session. apparently this place hosts a lot of jam sessions where experienced singers take the stage and perform together with a live band. I had a cocktail that was ginger-y in taste (forgot the actual name of it), tasted good. the servers were very attentive and were quick to replenish our water when it runs out. toilets were clean too.
Das beeindruckendste was ich seit langem in einem Kino gesehen habe. Wenn man in KL ist muss man das mitnehmen. Es ist kein Film sondern ein Kunstperformance bei der man mit im Kunstwerk sitzt.

Ein sehr interessanter Ort. Aufjedenfall ein Besuch wert um sich von kreativen Menschen etwas entführen zu lassen. Es gibt auch einige Gastronomien in dem Gebäude sowie einen Kiosk der sehr Originale Getränke und Speisen aus Japan anbietet. Ebenfalls finden Sie Bekleidung Vintage und Modern/Kreativ sowie eine Visuäle Künstlerische Austellung.
Fantastischer Ort! Großartiger Buchhandel auf den obersten Etagen. Must See Top 10 KL!
Leider war ich enttäuscht! Online sah alles sehr Authentisch aus und im Gebäude machen sie Werbung für eine Kreuzfahrt!
Sehr cooles und modernes Kulturzentrum. Ich habe mir dort ein Tattoo oben im zweiten Stock stechen lassen und es war sehr gut und professionell ! :)

Interessante Location, einem ehemaligen Kino einen neuen Nutzen zu geben. Bookstore mit sehr günstigen Büchern für deutsche Verhältnisse. International, hauptsächlich natürlich auf Englisch 😉

Makanan Okay.. layanan semua okay.. tetapi hall manager ni terlalu sombong.. saya punya cameraman bagitahu hall manager selalu marah2 disebabkan hal2 yang remeh. dan saya juga mendapat aduan dari mak saya, dia membagitahu mak saya ketika menyambut tetamu.. nak meminta/bagitahu bayaran tambahan ketika tengah menyambut tetamu... dengan itu saya memang xrekomen langsung dekat hall ni.. sedang kan kita menyewa tetapi selalu dikacau oleh owner tentang itu tak boleh ini tak boleh.. yang paling memalu kan.. photographer memberi aduan tentang manager hall ni..
Dewan cantik cuma susah nk cari sebab dia dalam mall. Org luar KL agak konfius nk cari tempat ni..
